Good or bad, we publish all the reviews left by the guests who have stayed at this property.

Mrs Frith

In the description it states that there is some road noise, this is a complete understatement. There is almost constant traffic, which is also heightened by the fact that the cottage sits at the bottom of a hill & so all headlights illuminate the bedrooms, maybe the use of black out blinds would be appropriate! Also, I appreciate that because of the cottage location, there will be wildlife, however I would prefer to not share the house with it. On two out of the three nights the noise was so bad from something scurrying around either in the roof or in the walls and it was impossible to sleep. In conclusion, if you are looking for a peaceful break I would not recommend this cottage.

Mrs Leonard

A well appointed and cozy cottage. The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed the stove in the sitting room. Small = cozy and quaint when it is well done.

While there is some road noise as mentioned in the description, the location near many of the best Cotswold villages and pubs more than made up for it. We hope to return.

Mr Thompson

We had a lovely short stay at 2, Turnpike Cottages. The cottage was very clean, welcoming and had everything needed for a comfortable relaxing holiday. The hot tub was especially welcome after a full day sightseeing. It is in a great location with Blenheim and Oxford only a short drive away. We would certainly love to visit again.

Mrs Edwards-Pickett

This is the first time we have used classic cottages therefore although we did not find this cottage acceptable due to the extremely uncomfortable beds cramped upstairs rooms and shower room . The noise due to the position of the cottage next to the road. We would not stay here again and we would look more closely at your cottages before booking again
