Formerly a wheelwright's shop and three cottages, the property has retained many of its original features and boasts a wonderful large private garden, off-road parking, and plenty of space to comfortably accommodate up to eight people and two dogs.
To the back of the house and overlooking the garden is a spacious and contemporary, well-equipped kitchen with modern appliances and a door leading to the boot-room where there is further storage and access to the garden and patio dining-area.
Off the kitchen is the snug, a nice place to relax and unwind after a busy day exploring and perhaps enjoy pre-dinner drinks before supper is served in either the kitchen or dining-room.
There is also a sitting-room with a delightful open fireplace so plenty of space for all to enjoy.
As you wind upstairs you will find four double bedrooms all with king-size beds, three with en suite bath/shower rooms and the fourth bedroom having a bathroom next door. One of the bedrooms has a mezzanine floor, but please note that this area is not suitable for children.

A beautiful house in a great location within easy walking distance to a superb farm shop and lovely walks. House very well appointed with just about everything we needed including robes and toiletries. A lovely week away. Would definitely recommend.

Challens Yarde is such a beautiful house, in beautiful grounds. We were a 3 generation family of 8 adults and 2 dogs and we had a wonderful 3 nights. The kitchen has everything you could need and looks over the large pretty garden. We enjoyed all eating together in the dining room and having 2 lounges was great and tv{s in all 4 bedrooms. Lovely walks straight from the house and Cowdray Farm Shop, Cafe and ruins is only a 20/25 minute walk over the fields which is perfect. Lovely entrance to leave coats and boots and there is plenty of parking for everyone to take their car. Great having handwash, shampoo and shower gel where needed, towels for the hot tub and bath robes in every bedroom. Everything was superb and would love to go back. Might go back to one of the other smaller cottages at Cowdray as it was such a wonderful location and so relaxing.

Nous avons passé un très bon moment. Le lieu est chaleureux, nous n'avons manqué de rien.
Le petit feu de cheminée tous les soirs, un bonheur. La décoration en général est coquette, notamment les sapins de Noël dans le salon et la salle à manger. La campagne et les alentours très calmes. Nous recommandons vivement. On y reviendrait avec plaisir.

Absolutely stunning house. Marvellous location, all the different rooms make it perfect for events, as well as a weekend retreat. Big garden and lots of parking. Really cozy and felt just the right amount of modern inside.
