Customer reviews

Good or bad, we publish all the reviews left by the guests who have stayed at this property.

Mr Pruett

This is the third time we have stayed at Pier View. Excellent accommodation, excellent location and will definitely be staying there again.

Mrs Yorkshades

We had a fantastic stay at Pier View. It is a large and spacious apartment and the view of the harbour was wonderful. The location is great as it is on Fore Street and so all the shops, cafes, restaurants and beaches are within easy reach. Being behind one of the busy harbour restaurants meant that we could hear the bottles being emptied in the bottle bin a few times a day but other than that we were not disturbed by any other noises especially at night so we all slept very soundly. We wanted to book our next stay in St Ives at Pier View but sadly it was already booked however we will try to book it again for future visits as it has become one of our favourite apartments.

Mrs Cooke

Loved the location, views, interiors & comfy beds. Loved the welcome bits & the white company minis were great. The £5 coffee voucher was a lovely touch too.
We had a problem with the hot water but aspects sorted it straight away, excellent OOH experience as it was bank holiday so thank you.
It is noisy at night which we were aware of, possibly more so as it was bank holiday weekend. It tends to finish around 11pm. Top tip- order a white noise machine, worked really well for us.

Mr Severs

Central location with nice views, but noisy at night and with the windows open the smell from the extractor fans from the surrounding restaurants wasn’t pleasant

Dr Clay

Great location, comfy and would go again

Miss Thompson

We had a wonderful time once again at Pier View. The location is absolutely perfect, just steps away from all the amenities and beaches, making it easy to soak up the vibrant atmosphere of the heart of St Ives. The property itself is consistently spotless and well-maintained, with every piece of equipment you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. It truly feels like a home away from home. Booking through Aspects Holidays is always a pleasure. Their team is friendly, efficient, and always on hand to help. We couldn’t recommend Pier View or Aspects more highly and can’t wait to return!

Mrs Hall

Pier view is a good location, very noisy but I have stayed there before and knew this, although always in winter but ehitdun week was quite warm and the apartment was very hot, I think if we had a heatwave it would have been unbearable,
The apartment could possibly do with some updating but it is lovely for the price

Mr Hollin

Pier View is a lovely, spacious and centrally positioned property on Fore Street. Its exceptionally handy for getting to the harbour and for those that like the hustle and bustle of street life its a great option. We loved the front room with its fabulous view and large spacious interior. The equipment level and decor was good throughout and we didn't mind the slightly wonky floor as this adds to the character of the property and what you would expect. Since there were only two of us we had huge amounts of room to spread out in.

On the downside, the noise from the pubs next to the property cannot be underestimated even though we saw the disclaimer in the description. We are not fuddy duddys but felt that the noise level was really far too loud and far too late in the evening on the weekend. Even though noisy on other evenings during the week, the levels were what we would expect and didnt happen after 11pm so were happy/expecting that etc. On the weekends though, there were live bands and the music/noise was really excessive and went on until the early hours. Its not the owners fault and Aspects did warn about the potential noise on the website and disclaimer which is fair enough. We just werent prepared for how bad it was on the weekend and am surprised that the local council has allowed for such a late amplified music license to be in operation.

Overall we loved the property but unless something changes with regards to the late live music at the weekends we wont be booking this property again

Mr Pruett

A lovely place to stay with everything you could want on your doorstep. The vast majority of the facilities and equipment provided at the accommodation are fantastic and the views across St Ives harbour provides the icing on the cake!

Mrs. Newman

Just returned from an amazing week at Pier View. If you want a room with a view, you’ve got it here. From early morning sunrises, to rainbows, clouds and blue skies - great opportunities to capture some lovely photos.
Can be a little noisy at night from the pubs opposite but it didn’t bother us
Definitely recommend Pier View

Mrs Tongue

Lovely view from this property but not the best accommodation I’ve stayed in. The view from the loft bedroom is amazing but the room itself is far too hot to sleep in even with both windows open and a fan on.The toilet was not clean with brown stains in the bowl. I know in the description it says there’s some noise from nearby pubs ( which wouldn’t normally bother me) but one night the noise of Karaoke and people outside screaming and shouting went on until 2 am

Mrs Bendall

Third time staying here and won’t be the last. If you can get over a little noise from the restaurant you won’t be disappointed. Beautiful, clean flat with amazing views which can’t be faulted. Comfy beds, well equipped kitchen and great sized bathroom. Amenities all close by. Central location for all beaches and harbour on the doorstep. The ice cream shop directly under is another bonus!
Highly recommend!

Mr Smith

Lovely property and exactly as described. We have now stayed in this property a number of times at different times of year and all have been enjoyable. The views are the selling point as well as steeping straight out the door into the bustling cobbled streets. The property is very clean and tidy and works as a great base for a week away. It can get noisy in the evenings with the pubs outside but it’s a small price to pay for being in the heart of such a beautiful town. We have always been able to find a parking space in town and leave the car there for the week. We will book again.

Ms Holt

A really spacious cottage in a superb location. Comfy sofa which you can spend hours on just staring at the perfect view of the beach and harbour. The upper bedroom view was also amazing. We loved it so much we will be returning next year.

Mr Atkinson

WHAT A VIEW! such a lovely property, nice space for the family and everything you need. Yes it was a tad noisy but only at the weekend and where in the center isn't? We actually were happy to know it wasn't just our children making some noise for once! Would definitely come back!

Mr Pruett

Pier View is a fantastic place to stay. All equipment and amenities provided were excellent. It is right opposite a pub so it was quite noisy on the Saturday night but it is right on the main street through St Ives so this is only to be expected. It certainly won't stop any of us trying to book this accommodation again. All round, absolutely no complaints or issues with the accommodation or the service provided by Aspects Holidays.

Miss McMahon

Pier view was perfect for our visit to st ives, local to all shops and harbour lovely accommodation

Mr Stevens

Great For The The Location , The Space For 4 Adults' & The View Across The Harbour/Pier Were Brilllliant , Can Be Quite Noisy @ Times , Which Was indicated With Other Reviews .. But We Found It Wasn't Every Night ... Welcome Package Wasn't That Great Either ( Worst One To Date ).. No Milk .. No Toilet Paper Either , Which Was A Bit Of A Bummer After A 6hr Drive , Quick Shop That Wasn't Needed , WIFI Was Odd Too , Although Mentioned In Aspects Information Folder With In The Apartment Seemed To Be The Wrong Details Especially Password etc... Eventually Found Correct Info Behind TV Set/Unit/Hub .. & All Was OK.. Like I Quoted A Bit Odd . ..

Mrs Clark

Would not recommend this cottage. Too noisy and far too expensive for what you expect in a prime location.

Miss Thompson

Lovely property in the best location, it has everything you need for a relaxing stay with a fantastic view ! .We will be back .

Mrs Powell

Absolutely loved the view from the living room. It was well equipped without being cluttered. There were drying racks, a hoover etc in the little cupboards. The washing machine is also a dryer which was a bonus as that wasn’t listed. The heaters were super simple to use and very effective. It’s location was very central and handy. The fact that our dog could join us was lovely too. We would definitely book again. One downside you need to be aware of is the noise from the pubs opposite. Not a problem for us as we know the area and were expecting it but it could make or break it for some. It did go quiet around 12/1am which was ok.

Mr McQueen

A lovely central location. The property is situated near several bars and restaurants, on the nights live music is played it can be quite noisy. But it wasn’t unbearable and didn’t prevent sleep.
The accommodation its self was comfortable and spotlessly clean.
It could benefit from a few extra kitchen bits to accommodate self catering.
Beds were comfy and little added extras like games and welcome treats greatly appreciated. A great place to stay .

Mr Taylor

Lovely place to stay, amazing views over the harbour. Central location. Well furnished and comfortable beds.

Mrs Beresford

Pier View is a lovely flat in a very good position for the town and harbour. Very well equipped lovely kitchen and bathroom. Very comfy beds. Beautiful views from the lounge and top bedroom.

Mrs Genge

Pier View is an excellent place to stay. It is very well equipped with good equipment and comfortable beds. It was nice to step out of the door into the great atmosphere of Fore Street. We would definitely go there again.

Mrs Bendall

Very adequate accommodation in outstanding location. Very clean. Very private. Comfortable furniture and beds. Everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Be aware that the floor is very wonky especially in the lounge but the view out of the huge windows makes up for that.

If you have a nervous dog then this might not be the place for you, ours hated the crashing of bottles being trashed. It is very noisy at closing time for about an hour.

We come to St Ives every year and this is the first time using Aspects, we will definitely be using them again.

Overall fabulous property, would recommend

Mrs Leadbeater

Great sized house, well equipped and comfy. You can spend hours looking at the view. The pub noise at night is loud though so take earplugs if you want to be asleep before midnight. It’s just the reality of the location. There is a big entrance corridor that’s great for storing your beach stuff and surfboard ????

Mr Phillips

A lovely week in early November at Pier View.

Views are fantastic, sofas comfortable and generally a very homely place.

One downside is the location with both Castle and Union inn pubs opposite. The former open until very late in the evening at weekends, and the noise kept us awake on 2/3 occasions.

Mrs Powell

Great location in town centre. House has everything you need. Beds comfortable.

Mr Davies

Good location and best suited to one family due to just 1 bathroom. Not really suitable with young children due to the noise from one of the pubs opposite.

Mrs Tempest

This is a beautiful house and well equipped. The only downside is the noise from the extractor fans in the restaurants below on the harbour front. There are noises from fore street deliveries etc and at pub closing time but this wasn’t really an issue for us.
As much as we lived the location and the house we wouldn’t stay again due to this reason.

Mrs Carter

We’ve booked many times with Aspects holidays and have always found the service they offer really good. So easy and straightforward. Better now with key safes at mist properties. Pier View is a fabulous place to stay. Our second time now. Not ideal if you’re unsteady on your feet as floors are uneven and quite a few little stairs but if you can cope I’d really recommend it.

Mrs Macfarlane

Absolutely awful experience we left after 2 days! The condition of the property is terrible Nd old and we got blamed for food in the carpet when the carpets clearly haven't been cleaned in ages properly as my baby had dog hair all over his hands. The house is uneven meaning myself and my son were rolling out of bed. Stank of chip fat so we couldnt open any windows. Shutters are broken so let light in in the mornings. Door is not up to safety regulations and could easily be opened. Windows are unsafe for children as no locks. Bathroom fan thick with dust. Toilet seat stained yellow from years of use. Kitchen floor needs a good clean. Drains stink. I could go on I felt like I was in a smelly hostel. Wouldn't even pay £100 for the week here.
Aspects customer service was not good from the manager and said it's not there problem it's the landlords responsibilty but there happy to take the money.

Mrs Jones

We enjoyed our visit to Pier View. The views of the harbour and beyond are wonderful, whatever the weather, and its very central location makes it easy to access all that St Ives has to offer.

Dr Gray

We had a lovely week in St Ives enjoying the sunshine most days and going for walks along the coast - so many beautiful places. The apartment was comfortable but would be very crowded with 6 people. Really appreciated the harbour view and the proximity to all the facilities of St Ives. The hassle of finding a parking space in the public car parks would probably preclude staying here again.

Mrs Francis

Absolutely fantastic apartment. Well equipped kitchen, best I’ve ever seen. Beds very comfortable. Such a spacious apartment with lovely view of the harbour. Great location too
Shower was great. Couldn’t find any faults with it. Service from Aspect brilliant. Great holiday.

Mrs Whitehead

Recommend Pier View for location and views.

Mrs Buchan

Lovely property, in a great location with amazing views. Lots of room for a family, would book to stay here again!

Mr Fowler

Frantastic place to stay.
Location fantastic
Very clean
Comfortable.
Unloading and loading no problem.

Miss Walker

Great location, excellent facilities, excellent view and comfortable when inside apartment.
Rubbish dispose situation could look to be improved.

Ms Young

Pier View is a lovely clean property based off Fore Street, the central location means unloading on arrival can be difficult, and Friday / Saturday night there is some noise from the pubs opposite until around 11.30pm but apart from that the property is a joy to stay in.

It is very quirky based over 3 levels, the views of the harbour from the living room are lovely, the whole property has been renovated to a high standard, beds are exceptionally comfortable and it is one of the cleanest properties we have stayed in and we have been coming to St Ives for many years.

Mr Wright

Great location and facility if you like a livelier base in the center of things.

Miss Percy

Pier View was really comfortable and in a great location as long as you don't mind a little noise from time to time. Loved the views when looking out (it was easy enough to avoid looking down at the bins!)
Would certainly consider staying here again and would recommend it to anyone able to easily manage the indoor stairs, which are well documented in the description. Lovely place!

Mr Tedd

If you're looking for a central location at the heart of St.Ives, you enjoy your food, shopping, a few beers & easy access to the waterfront then Pier View is bang on.

Mrs Bennett

Very comfortable, beautifully decorated and equipped and in a marvellously central spot with a very nice view from the living room ( provided you don't look down at the bins !)

Ms Hill

Fantastic location, beautifully decorated & a wonderful base for a memorable holiday - highly reccomend!!
