Mermaid House is a beautiful three-bedroom cottage, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the town, yet within easy walking distance of the harbour and surrounding cobbled streets of St Ives. Set over three floors, each room offers comfort and invites you to relax, whether getting a peaceful night's sleep, or unwinding on the large sofa, to plan tomorrow's adventures. The contemporary kitchen and dining area has plenty of equipment and space to dine together, and the open plan layout downstairs means you needn't worry about getting in each other's way. The younger family members can enjoy themselves in the snug upstairs, catching up on their favourite shows or playing games and, not to be left out, up to two dogs are welcome to join your Cornish holiday. The small courtyard to the rear is perfect for storing beach gear.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mermaid House! It is a brilliant location and big enough for all occupants. We loved the bright, large attic bedroom with a very comfortable super king bed. The shower was hot and powerful and the downstairs bathroom was a benefit. There was plenty of room to relax after a busy day on the beach and the Coop store is minutes away for any provisions. There is double yellow lines outside but you can unpack as it’s a quiet street. Overall, we would certainly recommend it.

A very well equipped property in an excellent, peaceful location.
The only issues we had were with the attic bedroom roller blinds.
The property is located close to a carpark which has very bright security lights that are on constantly all night long. These lights shone directly into the bedroom window and the blinds were not black out ones and didnt fit the dorma window properly. So, we had to put blankets up at the window to ensure a good night's sleep!

A great location and nice comfortable house. Lots of space so everyone could relax. The appliances lacked instructions and a washer drying and clothes dryer / washing line would have really helped as there was no way of getting anything like beach towels dry. Overall a nice stay though and st Ives was beautiful as always!

very good value for money. the spare room makes a very useful 4th (single) bedroom, the house is in an excellent location and not up any steep hills, it was also pleasantly set out.

Good location for being away from the hustle of the high street, but a nice 10min walk to Porthminster or Porthgwidden beach. House was pleasantly spacious for St Ives and had plenty of room for 4 adults, 1 child and 2 dogs.
