Customer reviews

Good or bad, we publish all the reviews left by the guests who have stayed at this property.

Mrs Chant

Harbour View was exactly as it was described. Lovely spacious property. Very well equipped kitchen and lovely views over the roof tops from the top floor. We especially enjoyed sitting in the window seats with the blankets provided. Ceiling height on the top floor is restricted and could be a problem if tall. Very clean and welcoming with tea/coffee and milk.

Mr Hollin

A lovely week in a lovely property. We were very lucky with the weather but the property was well specced and would cope with a wet week. Things we loved about the property in particular was the top floor living area/kitchen. Light and roomy and very well furnished it was really nice to relax in this room in the evening. Overall really happy with the house.

Small point to mention is the access for unloading and loading of the car. Its a bit of a pain but to be fair that's most properties in the harbour area of St Ives anyway.

Can thoroughly recommend this place and we really enjoyed our stay

Mrs Dalgleish

Excellent location with beautiful views of the bay. Nice to hear the hustle and bustle from the street below but it does get extremely noisy in the evening. Very steep access and stairs in the property that might not suit everyone.

Mr Dutton

Excellent size house for money and location.

Miss Holland

The position of this accommodation was awesome! Right in the middle of town, yet with breathtaking views of the harbour.
The shared open plan space, was probably the best of your properties that we have ever stayed in, and we would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Obviously, staying right in the middle of everything, there is bound to be noise, and with the cobbled narrow streets, you do hear the deliveries etc quite early in the mornings, but this was clearly mentioned in the detail, so was expected. For me, a small price to pay to be in the hubub of it all

Mrs Farnsworth

Fantastic property the photos do not do the apartment justice, the rooms are all large and airy, plenty of room for a family with teenagers or an extended family also.

The large open plan living upstairs is beautifully decorated and works very well, the window seats are so lovely to see the views. The sunrise from the windows were amazing!

The location for us is perfect you could walk to Porthmeor beach in 4 minutes or be at the harbour within 1 minute! There was a little noise in the early mornings with bin lorry’s and deliveries but it really didn’t bother us, we didn’t hear any late night noise.

We had a slight issue when we checked in but this was swiftly sorted out. We would definitely stay again we all loved it!

Miss Dale

Thank you Aspects for your excellent service, we had such an amazing holiday, Harbour View 1 Academy place was a gorgeous place to stay, this is our second stay at Academy place as we find this apartment close to everything, a step away to the shops and just minutes away from all beaches, the bonus for us is that it allows dogs and also has its own parking space at the rugby club. The apartment is well equipped and lovely furnished we love it here and sitting in the window seats you have great views of the harbour, such a beautiful and relaxing place to stay .

Mrs Bowles

Our second stay in Harbour View, the accommodation is beautiful, very comfortable and well equipped. It is an excellent base to explore St. Ives. It has wonderful seaviews and a great place to watch stunning sunrises!

Miss Whitehead

Good location, right on one of the main streets. Not good for anyone with mobility issues.
Lovely bedrooms and living space with everything required.
I would take earplugs if you're a light sleeper as it is situated near the bars and restaurants so can be loud late at night.

Mrs Buckley

I rather not. The property can be a very good let but the standards need to come up a little bit.

Mr Gaunt

Lovely location could be noisy in high season good sized bedrooms

Miss Bates

We had a perfect weeks stay here at Harbour View - and the name really captures the stunning view you get of the harbour. There was more than enough room for the 4 of us and our pooch. The living area is beautiful - a light open space with comfy sofas and a big dining room table. We were provided with more than enough kitchen equipment for our stay. You are a few steps away from the high street which is ideal and not much noise heard except for some on a Friday night but this did not bother us. We would definitely come back to Harbour View - thank you for a brilliant stay.

Mr Grenfell

We have spent many holidays in St Ives, always on The Island. This time we went for a view. Harbour View lives up to its title as the view from the top floor living area is breathtaking. It was lovely to be able to check out the beach before taking the dogs.It was also great to be within seconds or a couple of minutes of all the town has to offer.
The apartment is really splendid; modern and well equipped with everything you could want and more. It is very spacious with three capacious bedrooms, one of which I only discovered when we were checking that we hadn’t left anything behind.
We have no complaints although there were two very minor issues.I wouldn’t have bothered with them but Georgia sent an email asking if everything was OK. The two minor issues were sorted by the end of the day.
Arrival was fairly easy although, if you know St Ives, you will also spot potential difficulties in loading and unloading. We got round this by dropping everything off quickly, parking the car in the rugby club car park and forgetting about it for the week. At the end we booked a taxi which took me and most of our stuff back to the car. We then just had a few items to grab and have a quick check around the apartment, during which time I discovered the aforementioned third bedroom.
Booking was really easy and communication from Aspects was excellent, especially the arrival instructions. I don’t know if we’ll return to St Ives but, if we do want to book again, the Aspects website will be my first port of call.

Mrs Crane

Aspects booking system is excellent. This is a really lovely, well equipped and comfortable apartment. Light, tastefully decorated and very well lit. Comfy beds and beautiful towels.
The furnishings have been updated and are much nicer than the photos on website.
The access could be a little challenging for anyone with mobility issues. It’s a pity that there is often noise from the street late at night.

Miss Lyons

We had another lovely week in gorgeous St Ives. The weather was kind to us although, the apartment would have been a lovely relaxing home from home even if it had rained all week. Close to all the beaches and in the thick of the St. Ives hustle and bustle. Wonderful to get up early and have it all to our selves. Have booked Harbour View again for next year.

Mr Willson

1 Academy Place is in a perfect position in the heart of all the shops, restaurants and beaches, literally no where is more than a few minutes away. The views from the huge top floor lounge / kitchen / diner are great and this was a perfect family space for six adults and a dog. Three good sized bedrooms, two lovely bathrooms and well equipped throughout, couldn’t have been a better base for our son’s blessing / wedding in the island chapel.

Mrs Wilkes

Glorious week in St Ives 1 Academy Place was beautiful stunning views tasteful decor & well equipped couldn’t ask for more

Mr Sylvester

We’ve stayed in St Ives a number of times and this is one of the best places we’ve stayed in.

This was a lovely place, decor nice, good quality fixtures and fittings yet comfy and homely. Very well equipped with games and soft furnishings.

The location is great and whilst there was a bit of noise from late night revellers at times, it was worth it to be so close to everything.

The views from the window seats were a really nice way to spend time and we even saw a rainbow!

Mrs Mroczko

A perfect, comfortable apartment in beautiful St Ives. Memories made. We will definitely book again.

Mr Barley

Great spot right on Fore Street so can be a bit noisy in the night but worth it for views and location.

Our second stay here and would do so again.

Ms Blay

Aspects always helpful and deal with bookings quickly. Property we stayed in this year was amazing, we loved it but prefer to stay closer to the Downalong area. Property was beautiful and so spacious and had see views which was lovely while eating breakfast. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Mrs Mitchell

An enjoyable stay in a very central location, although noise could be heard particularly in the early morning from bin men, street cleaners and deliveries to the shops below. The apartment was large and airy with plenty of space for us all. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could possible need and more besides. The views from the upstairs windows were amazing (the window seats were my favourite place to sit).

Mr Mercer

Excellent properly with a great location and plenty of space right in the middle of St Ives. Good views of the harbour. Would certainly stay there again

Mr Sellars

Excellent dog friendly, central location accommodation, close to all amenities, spacious rooms for 3 generation to holiday together but have there own space as well.

Miss Dale

We have been coming to St Ives for 10 years now and this was the first time staying at 1 academy place and it is the best apartment we have ever stayed at, it has amazing views and very spacious , comfortable and well equipped for all our needs, overall wonderful place. Also our first time booking with aspects holidays they are all lovely and welcoming, very pleasant and very helpful .

Mrs Adams

Very comfortable accommodation for 6 people and having 2 bathrooms with 2 baths and 2 showers was a bonus.
Excellent kitchen facilities. Shops and 5 beautiful beaches all on your doorstep.

Mrs Mroczko

Lovely comfortable accommodation with fantastic views. Hope to be back soon.

Mrs Beavis

A great place in the heart of St Ives. We enjoyed having everything on the doorstep.

Mrs Quick

Lovely apartment, great location and very comfortable

Mrs Crossley

Lovely place to stay, great location and not that noisy even though we were on Fore Street.
Hope to stay here again in the future

Mr Buckley

Ideal for a family, dog friendly and overall location and comforts are excellent. If you have restricted mobility there might be too many stairs to climb. It did not bother us. We will be back.

Mr Noble

Relaxed, well appointed holiday home in an excellent, central location in St Ives.

Mr Dutton

Excellent value for money! Couldn’t ask for anything more.

Mrs Powell

Great location, lovely accommodation equipped with everything you could possibly need.

Mrs Fisher

A fantastic break in St Ives in a lovely and comfortable apartment. Great central location and good harbour views.

Mrs Sandison

A lovely touch to add the doggie treats and the welcome pack was much appreciated. Aspects really went out their way to supply a top quality apartment in a great location with all the amenities you could possibly need. Thank you

Ms Wallace

I think you need to make it clear about the number of steps from the street into the house and upto the lounge. I broke my ankle and leg 6 months ago and found it hard going....its basically 3 flights of stairs from the street to the lounge.
The way we are asked to get rid of rubbish is quite unacceptable - fine to put it in sacks for the bin men to take but, to then ask us to get rid of the excess rubbish by wandering around St Ives trying to find bins is not something I believe visitors should be asked to do because the council haven't got a better plan for their rubbish collection!!
Also, its impossible to use both the showers at the same time, the water pressure isn't up to it - perhaps the owners should consider investing in a water pump...?

Rev Short

Our 2nd visit here - a wonderful place to stay in St Ives, central , no need for a car and plenty of room for 6 adults.

Mr Rutledge

What an amazing place to stay! Great location, views and accommodation and proximity to the shops and the Sloop!!! We are already planning to book the same property for next year.

Mrs Wright

See previous page.

Mrs Flanagan

Fantastic property. Would definitely rebook and recommend. Spacious property in a great location.
