Cape Cottage is a charming, traditional Cornish cottage tucked away on Wesley Place, just a five-minute stroll from the bustling harbour front in the heart of St Ives. Beautifully cosy and comfortably furnished throughout, it's the perfect base for families or friends looking to enjoy everything this much-loved seaside town has to offer. From your doorstep, you'll find St Ives' wonderful selection of independent shops, galleries, cafés and restaurants, while the picturesque Harbour Beach is just moments away. With four other stunning sandy beaches also within easy walking distance, you'll be spoilt for choice whether you're looking to swim, surf or simply relax by the sea. After a day exploring the cobbled streets or the South West Coast Path, return to the cottage and unwind in the small enclosed courtyard – the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee before heading out or a glass of something chilled as the evening draws in. Sleeping up to six guests across three comfortable bedrooms, including a king-size room, a twin room and a bunk bedroom, Cape Cottage is well suited to family holidays. Better still, two well-behaved dogs are welcome too, so your four-legged friends can enjoy a Cornish adventure alongside you. A real bonus in St Ives is the property's private parking space, suitable for a small to medium-sized car, allowing you to come and go with ease and explore the many beautiful beaches, coastal villages and attractions that West Cornwall has to offer.

Dr Heaney

Great holiday cottage, close to town, very clean

Mr Dawes

Cosy cottage in reasonably central location but parking remote from property

Mr Langley

Stayed here a few times now - it’s a lovely cottage in a really convenient location

Mr Green

A lovely little fisherman's cottage in the middle of St Ives. Shops and beaches a very short walk away. Thoroughly enjoyed by a young family of four.

Mr TURNER

A very comfortable and well equipped cottage in a very convenient location for all the St Ives beaches and the town with all its amenities. I would definitely recommend this both for short-term or longer stays. Very well presented and well serviced.

Mr Nelson

Good sized cottage in a great location, five minutes walk to the centre of St Ives. The property accommodated our family of five without feeling cramped, but we did have some issues with its overall standard of upkeep and maintenance which we've fed back to Aspects, although these didn't stop us enjoying our Christmas/New Year break. If you're looking for a roomy family property close to the centre at a reasonable weekly cost, and are not expecting luxury, Cape Cottage is a decent option.

Mr Langley

Location was great, beds were really comfy and the shower was good. Clean and well equipped. Parking was useful to have too. Would definitely come back.

Mrs Watson

We enjoyed a fantastic week in Cape Cottage. The parking was a convenient bonus, just a short walk away. The cottage had everything we needed and was a lovely cool retreat in the summer heat. The location was perfect, away from the bustle but close enough to carry a surf/paddle board down to the sea. We highly recommend this cottage to a family looking for a cosy stay in St Ives with easy access to amenities.

Miss DeSousa

The location of the property was perfect and the size of the property was just right for a larger family.
There was also a nice touch to see things in the property like deck chairs, buckets, spades etc. for those who may have forgot to bring things.
I would say the cleanliness of the property was poor, stains on the sofas and pillows, cobwebs and dust throughout. We also spotted a rat in the yard one night. Overall it didn’t feel as though it had been thoroughly cleaned since the last guests.
The property was not quiet at all. We could hear the next door neighbours very clearly, word for word, as well as the flushing of their toilets and them running the water. The noise from outside can also be heard very clearly, and is worse at night. It’s that loud you would have thought all the windows and doors were open in the property.
I’d definitely return to St Ives but would avoid this property and street.

Mrs Johnson

We enjoyed our stay at Cape cottage the location was brilliant the car parking not so great but still manageable but definitely book again

Mrs Cheung

Great location in town. Close enough to walk to the harbour side and far enough away from the noise and busy areas.

Mrs Taylor

We had a lovely holiday in st ives.
Aspects holidays staff are all so very friendly and helpful.
Cape cottage was in a great location 2 mins walk from town.
The property was comfortable and had good amenities however is on need of a good sprucing up/ decorating/ deep clean which im sure the owners will do at the end of the season.
All in all we had a fantastic holiday.
Thank you

Mrs Beverstock

A lovely clean comfortable cottage in a very good location.will stay again

Mrs Budd

Great stay in a really good location. House was clean, tidy and well equipped with everything you would need. The parking provided up the hill was useful although being blocked in on check out day was frustrating.

Ms Dugdale

The cottage is situated in a convenient location, close to all local amenities.

Mr Collett

Lovely cottage. Thoroughly recommended.

Mrs Lewis

Great location on a quiet road with easy access to the harbour and beaches.

Ms Parker

Very close to town and beach. Lovely cottage with all the comforts of home. Not too pristine that you feel you can’t relax in it.

Mrs Wollacott

We had a lovely 4 night break at Cape Cottage over new year as a family of 4 including 2 teenagers.
The cottage is in a great location in the heart of St Ives, just moments from the centre and harbour and close to shops, restaurants, beaches etc yet the road itself is really quite quiet. The theatre is literally at the end of the road and the cinema and local shops only 2/3 minutes away.
The living / dining area is nicely laid out and spacious for a cottage and whilst the kitchen is compact it is very well equipped (even managed to make a roast relatively easily on New Years Day) with plenty of cutlery, crockery, utensils and thankfully wine glasses etc. The dining table was also big enough to play plenty of board games etc when the weather took a turn for the worse!
The beds were comfortable and the bedding / towels etc good quality and we all slept really well.
The bedrooms are all relatively compact but comfortable and in our opinion the bunk room may be a squeeze for older children / adults.
The parking space is a real bonus although is a fair walk from the cottage (5-10mins) although it was no problem to pull up in the street to load / unload etc.
Overall we had a great break at Cape Cottage and would recommend the Cottage and Aspects - we had a few very minor glitches but nothing that would stop us returning and we thought the listing / photographs to be very accurate.
