Ref: 2886 / Praa Sands
Church Cottage
As its name suggests, this delightful cottage overlooks the pretty 14th Century church in the quaint village of Germoe and is only a mile from the child-friendly sandy beach at Praa Sands. Grade II listed, the cottage retains all the charm and traditional character, typical of many properties in west Cornwall.
Outside there is a choice of either an enclosed courtyard, which is ideal for windy days and to keep toddlers from wandering too far, or the small raised deck at the front of the cottage which is a real sun-trap on a hot summer's day.
With room for your surfboards, wetsuits, bikes and beach gear, a warm welcome is guaranteed for guests of all ages as well as their four-legged friends, Church Cottage could be the perfect Cornish hideaway.

Mrs Billingsley
Lovely peaceful village location. Owner friendly ,live across road. Well equipped and dog friendly with everything you need. Beds were comfortable. Warm and cosy. But Desperately in need of updating, especially new sofa and chairs needed. Only 4 seats in living room for cottage that sleeps 5, very uncomfortable and black mould in shower that really needs a refurbishment . Then it would be perfect.
Ms Williams
A wonderful cottage. it felt like being at home from the very start. I loved being there.
Mrs Cox
Church cottage was a very nice place to stay. Also very well equipped
Mr Goff
Spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Thanks for a pleasant stay!
Ms Nunn
Cottage is located in delightful peaceful village that is ideally situated for visiting local places of interest and beach walks. Very clean, warm and cosy. Friendly hosts. Lots of welcome extras such as cream tea, toiletries, and dog accessories. Can recommend Coach and Horses pub for food and friendly service. Wonderful Trebah Gardens, Godolphin House and Michael's Mount all within easy driving distance. Parr Beach terrific for dog walks. Cottage is an excellent base for exploring and restful to stay in. Would visit again.
Mrs Hobday
This was our 2nd stay at Church Cottage and we had a lovely holiday. The cottage is second to none location wise, with Helston and Penzance, our 2 favourite places in Cornwall, just a short drive away! The cottage is always warm and comfortable and we always feel at home there. Thank you so much to Richard and Alice, who always make us feel so welcome x
Ms Benham
Church Cottage is well located in Germoe, a pleasant and peaceful village. I would not recommend it unless you like very old-fashioned properties and being overwhelmed by knick-knacks. It was clean and just about ok to stay in for a couple of nights for a wedding nearby. It is not suitable for dogs, having a very small courtyard area for an outside space which is covered in large pebbles which would be very difficult to clean up
Mrs Cox
We loved the cottage so much that we intend to book up again soon. We have stayed in a number of properties around Helston and this one by far the best value for money.
Ms Egilson
We had a lovely stay in this charming, quiet cottage. So thoughtfully prepared - everything we could possibly need or want was at our fingertips. Loved the beautiful ancient and active church; the footpaths, the people we met, the warmth of the owners and neighbours. Delightful - exceeded expectations in every way.
Mr Hederington
Church cottage was beautiful and made our stay in Cornwall perfect. The cottage owners were really pleasant and helpful. It's perfectly situated and so close to praa sands. Thankyou
Mrs Middlemast
This is our second stay at Church Cottage. It is a lovely quiet location close to Praa Sands beach. Perfect for the dogs. Other attractions and amenities are only a short drive away. Will definitely be back.

Dr Phillips
Lovely cottage in a quiet village one mile from the sea. Owners very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Thanks so much for the tasty scones, delicious! Plenty of space for the 4 of us and kitchen very well equipped. Recommended.
Mrs Hobday
A nice cottage, in a good location for our holiday. Richard & Alice the owners of the cottage, were very friendly and made us feel at home.
Mrs Langford
Parking car is tricky took me several days to get it right. I have an estate Dacia long reversing is best mind the decking! Plenty space at church green but you can’t see vehicles parked. Very quite . No bells that week. Wonderful history of church etc.
Mrs Maldonado-Ontiveros
We loved our stay at Church Cottage! Everything was just as we would have wanted it to be! Very thoughtful and generous owners, who visited on our first night, and left us a bottle of wine as a welcome gift! A beautiful village and perfect location with everything nearby, including a great little pub which does a good Sunday roast. We will definitely return!
Mrs Tilley
A spacious cottage situated in a very peaceful location. A good base for exploring both the Lizard and Land’s End peninsulas.
Mrs Curtis
A character cottage in a pretty village, which was comfortable, clean and well equipped. It looked a little tiered and needed some updating
Mr Carpenter
I would not recommend for tall people. Parking outside the cottage is very tight.
Mrs Molton
A warm and welcoming cottage in a beautiful location. The walk to the beach was worth the effort as were the circular walks from almost the front door. Sunday lunch at the coach and horses was delicious and nearby garage had a little shop attached. A wonderful time was had by all. thanks you.
Mrs wrenshall-Parker
Church Cottage was perfect for our stay. A very well equipped cottage with a washing machine , tumble dryer, separate freezer and 2 bathrooms. Very close to Praa Sands beach. We found some amazing coves near by that were quiet, beautiful and great for the dogs to run around. Travelling in COVID times; I took meals with us to put in the freezer and heated up and able to cook fresh on the stove or oven. There is a lovely dining table for meal times. Supermarkets are not far away to pick up extra supplies. The owners were lovely. They called on arrival night to see if we arrived ok and knocked in the door the next morning. They told us of a field down the Lane that the dogs could run in. Perfect for the dogs to have a run after dinner. The location of the cottage is beautiful and quite. Thank you for a lovely relaxing holiday
Mr Jewers
This is a lovely cottage, a bit like a Tardis. It looks small from the outside but is amazingly big inside. It is In a nice quiet village which is in a perfect location for visiting areas of Cornwall
Mrs Middlemast
Lovely old cottage in a beautiful little hamlet. Perfect for our dogs as there was an enclosed courtyard and tiled floors. Amazing beach only 5 minutes drive away great for surfers and dog walking.
Mr Spicer
This is the second year of staying at church cottage, the area is just stunning and so is the little village where church cottage is located. There is everything you need at the cottage it's like a home from home and the owners are lovely people, you are 10 minutes from Penzance which has all of you amenities. 100% would stay again next year, our boys love it there.
Mrs Farnsworth
You will find everything you need at Church Cottage . Constant hot water and heating if you need it. Good washibg and drying facilities in a delightful village. Drive small, staircase very steep and narrow but overall value for money. Very dog friendly with easy clean floors.
