2 Mackerel Building

I think this is our 5th or 6th stay at 2 Mackerel buildings. We love the location, the view and the allocated parking! It has all you need for a harbour based holiday and is just a few steps away from a great pub and lots of dining options. I’m sure we’ll be back.

Another stay at 2 Mackerel Building did not disappoint. The location and facilities were perfect for our needs, and the dedicated parking space is always a real bonus — even out of season. If you’re looking for comfortable, spotless accommodation with beautiful harbour views and immediate access to everything Porthleven has to offer, I would highly recommend it.
We will certainly be returning.

Great property in a great location

Fantastic location, we could sit and watch the tide go in and out forever! Amazing places to eat on the doorstep and the luxury of a parking space. In fact we parked when we arrived and didn't use the car all week, just ate too much and wandered and watched the sea.

Amazing property to stay in to fully appreciate Porthleven. Well equipped and nicely furnished. Could not hear the neighbours below or above. Would highly recommend Porthleven Fish & Chips and the Moonflower chinese takeaway.

We had a really nice time staying in this spacious and comfortable apartment overlooking the harbour for our first visit to Porthleven. We had such a great time it’s now our favourite Cornwall destination, with loads of lovely pubs, restaurants, food and shops to choose from, and so many nice people in all the local establishments.

The apartment bedrooms were really comfy and the living areas generously sized for a family of 4 (2 grown ups and 2 primary school kids). It felt well ventilated and no issues with temperature or noise despite it being mid August. The kitchen was well equipped for a bit of home cooking, although there’s so much nice food on your doorstep you might not need it! And if you eat too much there’s a gym next door!

We will be returning!

Very comfortable and well furnished flat in a wonderful location.

This is one of our favourite apartments and this time we ended up extended our stay as we were enjoying the location and views so much! Spacious lounge, great view of harbour and comfy beds make this a good place to stay if you want to be in the heart of the harbour.

Another enjoyable stay in an Aspects property. Great company to deal with. 2 Mackerel Buildings is an ideal location, and a great property, but it is now looking a tad tired and is in need of some minor updates, always a problem when the property is popular with clients. We will definitely book again with Aspects.

We had a very pleasant stay! Excellent location, comfortable house and very good service. Parking is a bit challenging with a longer car.

Porthleven is a special place made even better by this lovely apartment

Great location right on the harbour. Managed to park my Vw LWB van in the designated spot, tight but doable. Plenty of room for a family of four. Dog friendly too.!

A wonderful apartment, perfectly located overlooking the harbour, with its own parking space close by. This was our second visit, and, as before, we enjoyed a very happy and comfortable week, helped by near perfect weather.

One of us has been coming to Porthleven for over 50 years, so he knows a good spot when he finds one! Aspect Holidays were brilliant to deal with, and, on arrival, the lovely Rosina (Properties Manager) looked after us fabulously, offering us the warmest of welcomes, together with a cream tea and goodies pack, which was really kind.

Our second stay in 6 weeks and loved it. Great location and views (that you never get bored with). Nice large lounge, spacious kitchen area and so nice to be in the heart of the harbour. We will be back.

Flat very comfortable, ideally situated in the heart of Porthleven.

This was our first experience of booking via Aspects and staying in Porthleven and both were excellent. The location of 2 Mackeral Buildings is fantastic with great views and easy walks to restaurants and shops, plus just watching the view from the lounge windows is addictive! The apartment has all you need for a comfy week. The local office were very helpful with enquiries and the the whole week was very relaxing. We are already thinking about when to go back.

Well, this is Cornwall, what’s not to love?!!!

It was so easy to book with Aspects Holidays and our accommodation 2 Mackerel Building was exactly as described. It was definitely home from home and overlooking the lovely harbour of Porthleven. We have already booked again with Aspects and can't wait to return to Porthleven.

This is a lovely warm and comfortable apartment. We had a wonderful week. We had some lovely meals at the Mexico inn in Longrock thanks to a previous Aspects review and at The Star inn at Porkellis. The Ship inn was a warm and welcoming as ever! We will definitely be back.

Excellent apartment, stayed multiple times, always in perfect condition and service pre and post booking always timeous. Furnishings, kitchen appliances, WiFi, television, all high calibre and makes for a perfect working holiday from home!

We love Porthleven, our tenth stay always try to get a sea view one of our Happy places.

Lovely accommodation. Stragically located near our favourite pub ( the Ship) and everything else you need for a fabulous week away in our favourite place.

This was our third stay at 2 Mackerel Buildings, we absolutely love it. It is a brilliant location, so wonderful on a lovely weather morning to sit in the lounge, windows open wide with such a close view into the harbour.

We visited all our favorite places, Mullion Cove, Mevagissy, Sennen, St Ives (Porthmeor Beach), plus good for present shopping, Marazion, Praa Sands, Poldhu Cove.

Closer to home we had fabulous meals in The Square, Kota Kai, Mexico Inn (Longrock), and last but definitely not least The Gurnards Head, as well as some lovely lunches in Marazion, Mousehole, and Penzance. We took a picnic and a small bottle of Moët on a picnic on Poldhu Beach. We walked a fair bit, ate ice creams and generally had a lovely restful 2 weeks

The welcome cream tea was very welcome as we arrived late and tired so it ended up being our supper for the first evening, thanks to the staff for making the place ready for us, all in all a lovely 2 weeks.

We had a fantastic stay here, a really spacious apartment with a brilliant view and in a great location

Beautiful property in an excellent location over looking Porthleven harbour. The property was very clean & a great base to explore the surrounding area.
The car parking space is tight if you have a large car, but much appreciated on the busy harbour.

Absolutely love this place! It’s so wonderful to look out onto the harbour right below and just stroll out for a swim.

A well laid out apartment in a great location, with a picturesque harbour and beach and easy access to the many attractions of south Cornwall.

This ts the first time we have not re booked for same 2 weeks sure building hotel next door will create a big problem to access& parking check before booking

Porthleven is our happy place. Have visited eight times now and love it. Nothing better than the Harbour View and a drink in the Ship watching the waves.

A fabulous location overlooking the harbour. Very convenient for everything you could want in this lovely place. You can park the car and forget about driving if you want to.
