Reviews

Baljean is one of the oldest cottages in Port Erin and has been renovated and modernised to the highest standards for use as a truly memorable holiday home. Whether it's a summer visit to enjoy all that goes on on the Isle of Man or a cosy winter break, Baljean is a comfortable retreat at any time of the year.

Baljean sleeps up to four people in two bedrooms, one double with king size bed, and a second bedroom containing an two adult sized comfortable single beds. Both bedrooms are en-suite to the modern bathroom in a Jack and Jill style.

There is a modern fitted kitchen including a dishwasher, fridge and freezer. A washer/dryer is tucked away.

The living room has a magnificent Manx "Chiollagh" stone fireplace with wood burning stove, comfortable seating and a fold-out dining table seating up to four people. Kick back and relax on the chairs in the bay window of the living room which overlooks Port Erin bay and Bradda Head, often bustling with beachgoers in the summer months. The beach is a popular spot for dog walkers in the quieter months too! Baljean is pet friendly too, perfectly geared up to bring them with you as the property features a washroom with a basin around the side of the property.

You can sit and relax outside at the end of the day, enjoying a glass of your favourite tipple and watching the sun go down over the bay.

There are lots of hidden gems to discover and details to admire at Baljean. There is a heated window sill in the master bedroom so you can sit and admire the sea views with a warm bum! Baljean also features art by local artist Kate Summerville, whose work explores the sea and the coast, perfect for a seaside cottage such as this!

The Manx influence extends throughout the property, featuring soft furnishings made from local Loughton wool and Pooil Vaaish black limestone flooring embedded with fossils!

An excellent base for enjoying the beauty and all that goes on in the Isle of Man including or for just relaxing and soaking up the views, which, from this cottage are simply incredible.
