Seal Rock
Seal Rock offers a perfect base for a couple or small family looking for a conveniently located two bedroom property in the south of the Isle of Man. As a ground floor apartment with private parking to the rear, it is also well suited for those with mobility issues. The apartment is also pet friendly with two well-behaved dogs accepted. Both bedrooms also have en-suite bathrooms.
Located on Castletown promenade, enjoy panoramic views from the sunny south facing lounge out to sea and to Langness lighthouse. The lighthouse itself was built in 1880 to guide boats around the treacherous rocks that make up this peninsula which marks the most southerly point of the Isle of Man. On a stormy day it is not unusual to see the waves crashing over the promenade which makes for a great spectacle! To the front of the apartment there is a small patio area where you can sit and enjoy the sea air. This area is shared with neighbours however Seal Rock does have an exclusive patio area.
Castletown town centre, the ancient Capital of the Isle of Man is just 5 minutes walk away from the apartment. Go across the historic footbridge and you'll find a choice of cafes, bars and restaurants. Castle Rushen, a medieval castle once home to the Kings and Lords of Mann is well worth a visit, as is the Nautical museum where you can discover the story of Peggy, the earliest known example of a British armed yacht.
Castletown also offers great public transport links should you not be travelling with a car. Close to the Isle of Man airport, buses serve the south of the island and Douglas every 20 minutes at peak times, and the Isle of Man Steam Railway offers a great day out with a station at Castletown.

Mr Holmes
We returned to Seal Rock for the second time. Great property in a great location. Very spacious and comfortable. I will be booking a return in 2026.
Dr Simmons
Delightful, quiet GFF with extensive sea views from sitting room and kitchen. Easy to find. 2 well furnished bedrooms (twin beds in second room not used in my stay) and very comfortable bed and well lit en-suite. Surrounding communal gravelled grounds rather unkempt but did not detract IMO.
Peaceful location despite proximity to sea front road with plenty of parking for a car or motorbike.
Easy walking distance to Castletown centre and shopping and a little further to get to the S100 races.
The only downside was getting clothing dry after washing, as too hot in July to have heating on and I didn't find any outdoor clothes line. Lovely spot and I highly recommend Island Escapes - I stay in one of their cottages every year for the S100 racing.
