Duxbury Cottage is a renovated and well-appointed rural barn conversion minutes away from lush plantations, mountain bike trails and the south coast of the Isle of Man.

Formerly named 'Kingsley Cottage', this self-catering accommodation is based on a single level and sleeps 4 people between 2 bedrooms. It's an ideal choice for a small family or some friends. Both bedrooms have access to the paved outdoor area where you can sit on the outdoor furniture and bask in the sun on a summer's day.

On entrance, guests are greeted by a spacious living area with a double-height ceiling stretching all of the way up to the exposed wooden beams in the loft space. Velux windows flood this area with natural light.

Duxbury Cottage is superbly located, overlooking the south of the island from the Ballamodha Straight. This is a great vantage point to experience panoramic sunsets as the sun dips behind the distant hills. The cottage is conveniently situated nearby to Silverdale Glen, Rushen Abbey and Castle Rushen, in the island's ancient capital, Castletown.

For guests with dogs, an enclosed field of approximately four acres is available right next to the property for off-lead exercise. Access is free of charge but must be requested during the booking process.

South Barrule plantation is minutes away, where you can walk your dog, adventure on quad bikes, play outdoor laser tag or walk amongst the trees on a high line obstacle course! You can also find purpose-built mountain bike trails in the plantation. Stumble upon the cosy Coffee Cottage, who serve food and drink in front of a log burner to keep you nice and toasty!

Clayton

I stayed in Duxbury cottage for 5 weeks on my move from the UK to the Isle of Man. I loved the cottage which was very comfortable and welcoming and contained all I needed for my temporary home. It is in a great location with good views and was snug through some wild weather. I would certainly recommend it to friends if they wanted to stay in a cottage on the island.

Blake

A lovely place to stay with lots of room for our dog to enjoy the fields etc. Easy to access with lovely parking area. Would recommend to others and definitely be back again in the future

Burrows

Beautiful well equipped cottage in a stunning location. Yes, the cottage is on a fast main road, but it is set back behind very secure electric gates and this is honestly not an issue. We had a dog with us and although there are a couple of paddocks for dogs to use, she was quite happy using the patio and garden as she doesn't tend to wander off. The cottage is stunning as in the photos, the bed extremely comfortable. We stayed on what was the hottest week ever, but the cottage remained cool and very comfortable. The owners live just behind the cottage and are extremely helpful and really want to ensure you enjoy your stay. Situated on the Ballamodha Straight, the cottage is only around 15 minutes drive from Douglas. Close enough, but far enough out to enjoy a peaceful and stunning location. We would definitely love to stay here again.
