The Cove

We have used aspect holidays for a few years now never had a problem but if we did we are sure they would sort it out they are very easy to talk to.

Lovely spacious property with great views and proximity to the beach.
8 of us got together in this property for our 70th year birthday reunion and there was plenty of room for us all.
Kitchen and equipment supplied was great and the wine fridge got good use.
Close to shops and a lovely little tea room just off the beach
However, be aware that it can be very steep for those with impaired mobility of hip and knees.
Bus stops were less than a 2 minute walk away to get all around the coast and also to Newquay airport as some of us flew in.
Bedrooms were of a good size and loved that all but one had en suite facilities. Only down side was a bit of a squeeze between the basin and door to get into some of them if you ate too many pasties.
Would be more than happy to return for another visit

The property is ideally located and the beach views are fabulous. There was plenty of space for us all and the property was clean and well equipped. Overall we were very pleased but certain elements of furniture could do with updating. Would definitely recommend and return in future as there is so much to see an do

The Cove is a great holiday home for large families with children and the bonus of being dog friendly. It’s just across the road to Porth beach and a short drive or long walk to Watergate Bay and Newquay. There’s ample parking for 3 cars on the driveway.

Absolutely loved our stay at the Cove in porth. The location to the beach was perfect. The property was comfortable and had everything you could need including lots of games for the evenings. I would definitely come back again.

Position is lovely with view over the beach. Outside space & seating is good. Views from the front bedrooms & lounge and dining room are lovely. Welcome pack of scones, jam & clotted cream as well as Tiger bread was great. We had several maintenance issues with the property, Aspects Holidays did their best to help though & can't fault their support. Cleanliness of downstairs toilet not good. Whole property is tired & the shared shower room & ensuites in "garden view" bedrooms are extremely small. Shower in shared shower room was hanging off the wall. The back bedrooms are described as having a garden view but there is no garden. There is not enough seating in the lounge for 10 people, we were a party of 7 adults & there was just enough seating for us but not comfortable. Sorry to say we were disappointed with the property but the position is great & parking in driveway for 3 cars. The size of the house is probably more suited to a family of adults & children.

Had almost everything you could think of, incredibly comfortable beds, in an amazing location.

Arrived to teabags, milk, jam and fresh scones with cream which we were really impressed with.

Would highly recommend this property aswell as aspect holidays to anyone.

Only issue we had was that the WiFi was slow in certain areas of the house.

We had a wonderful weekend at The Cove, it was clean and comfortable.

Great to be able to take the dogs away with us.

Overall the property felt a little tired and in need of some TLC. The location is great.

Superb location close to beach. Facilities just like being at home. A great space for a large family holiday. The Mermaid Inn just opposite is great, right on the beach and pub grub was yummy.

The positives of the property:

Very close to Porth beach - approximately 50 metres

Good car parking at front of property

Adequate kitchen which has a range of utensils

Dining area with table where 10 can be seated.

Aspect Holidays, as previously recognised by us, is very responsive to any queries.

The challenges of the property:

Although the property has five double bedrooms ( four en-suite), the showers are substandard and if more than one shower is used at the same time, the water pressure is inadequate.

The decor of the property is tired and not of a standard that we have previously experienced with Aspect Holidays. All bedroom doors have individual locks that risk children being inadvertently locked in a bedroom that then requires a key to gain access. All bedrooms have a number on the door and gives the feel of a youth hostel.

Wine fridge does not cool drinks.

The sitting room has comfortable seating for only 7 adults

Although there is a decking area at the front of the house, there is no access to the rear of the property The decking area has unrestricted access to the main road which represents a significant safety hazard for children.

We all had a great time at The Cove even though the weather was not that great. Beach was lovely and so close! Our 4 year old great granddaughter loved the pool left behind by the tide. Would definitely love to go back again.

We had the best time staying at the cove. It has everything we needed and more. We have rebooked next year and this will be our third visit. Great place to stay with little ones as the beach is so close and the property provided us with: stair gates, cor bed, high chair, baby monitors. We had a wonderful time.

Our stay at The Cove was wonderful, it was a real home from home for all the family. We had everything we needed. The Cove was in such a convenient spot for the beach, pub and buses into town.

We had a lovely stay here for February half term. The house is well equipped for larger groups with ample parking (we had 3 cars between us and it was very easy to get in and out). Just a minute to a lovely beach and walks along the coast path. Ideally located for trips out - we went to St Michael's Mount, St Ives, tintagel and the Eden project - as well as for exploring the beaches of Newquay.

Lovely house. Well equipped for more than 10 people. Was a nice surprise when we went into the property. Milk and a welcome pack left for us was a nice gesture and appreciated after a long journey. Looked out onto the beach and was nice to sit on the decked area to watch the waves etc. Will be booking again .

Amazing house in a perfect location. If cleaning of property improves this is definitely worth a visit. We will hopefully be returning again next year!

The Cove at Porth has delivered exactly what we wanted! a family friendly break with simply the best beach for children in all of Cornwall. we were a party of 6 adults 3 toddlers and 3 babies, the Cove was more than big enough for us all and equipped perfectly (the house has everything) for our week long stay.

Sitting on the Deck with a cold Rattler whilst the sun goes down is just bliss!

we would not hesitate to book the Cove again for future family holidays.

The cove is a beautiful house. Really nice furnishings, and has everything you need to accommodate you. 10 of us stayed, the house is very tastefully decorated. The bedrooms are spacious, and the bed linen is beautiful. We are looking to book for next year already.

We have just returned from a most successful three-generation family holiday at The Cove. The property afforded beautiful views over the bay, and the beach was within easy access. It was well equipped with all that would be needed for a self-catering holiday and the en-suite bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. Porth is an excellent centre, much quieter than neighbouring Newquay, with opportunites for walking and body boarding locally, but also within a short drive from many of Cornwall's wonderful attractions.

A lovely stay in a perfect beach location. Aspects offer a great level of service and sorted issues when they arose. We stayed in Porth and with young children it is the perfect beach. It is also a lot quieter than Newquay so you feel removed from the hustle and bustle.

Please beware anyone with children the drive from the property leads straight onto a very busy main road. There are no gates at all. This was not indicated on the website only when i rang and complained was it adjusted. It spoiled our holiday as we were constantly on edge. Also the house is a guest house with out breakfast. Its not homely at all very poor.

Great house with everything you’d need, kitchen with high spec appliances and all rooms en-suite bar one. Bedrooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. We had a lovely week with family spanning 3 generations. Porth beach is great for swimming/ body boarding with a life guard on duty. Nice headland walk a few minutes away. Not much else in immediate area but a short drive away and you have the Cornish coastline and towns/villages. Aspect were very good to deal with, easy and efficient. We had a small issue with them smoke alarm and after putting a call in to their office, we had an electrician with us within the hour, brilliant service. You won’t regret booking The Cove.

Excellent location with plenty of space and excellent decor throughout. Perfect for anyone wanting a relaxing coastal break.

The Cove is a beautiful home, and the owners have been incredibly kind too. The house is located in a prime position to enjoy the views and soak up the sun during the day, and to be a cozy haven at night. Sheer perfection!

All ten of us (three generations ) had a wonderful time at the Cove and would have booked again for next year had it not already been full - perhaps 2022!

The Cove is a great house for a holiday in Cornwall. Plenty of room (and bathrooms!), well equipped and spotlessly clean. Lovely to find tea, coffee and homemade cake on arrival after a long journey. Great sea views and wonderfully close to the beach. Would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful holiday at The Cove. The property was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. There were even freshly baked flapjacks to welcome us! Delicious! Great location as beach just across the road. It was great to relax on the front patio and admire the amazing views. Only wish we could have stayed longer!

Perfect large house. Well equipped, good quality beds with cotton linens, tasteful furnishings, noise between rooms was minimal, fantastic location, great to have so many ensuite bathrooms.
I miss the sea view!

We really enjoyed staying in this property for a family holiday, it’s been beautifully and thoughtfully furnished throughout and is in a great location right next to Porth beach.

We absolutely LOVED The Cove! Every need was catered for! From the kids games, beach toys, amazing pressed coffee and the outside seating, I cannot fault anything because it was a perfect stay! Absolutely loved the homemade lemon cake on arrival, that was a lovely welcome!
We had a mixture of children and adults from 5 years to 80 years, and everyone was well taken care of in terms of facilities provided. The location was excellent for the beach and the morning walks, and the fresh pizza from the opposite Mermaid Inn was delicious. A perfect family house in a superb location with sea views!

The property was exceptional and of a very high standard. The whole family ranging from age 71 to 16 months really enjoyed our time there. The beach was only about 100 yards away, great for the children. The decking at the front of the property was just perfect, and we spent many a night there watching the sunset.
