Rossmoyne
Managed by Classic Cottages
Rossmoyne is a grand semi-detached Victorian villa and you will not fail to be impressed by the original features that have been retained, from ornate coving to wonderful ceiling roses. Each room has been furnished to the highest standard with family gatherings and comfort being thought of throughout.
The kitchen/breakfast-room is bright and airy, situated at the back of the house with views over the enclosed courtyard. The kitchen is equipped to cater for 10 people with an additional cooking option in the utility-room which links via a door from the kitchen. The utility-room offers a great space for coats and shoes and extra food storage, and this is also where the washing machine and tumble-drier are located.
The hallways and landings link each room with a grand central staircase; the shower-room is located on the half-landing with all the bedrooms being on the first floor. The first two bedrooms are situated to the front of the house with both offering en suites. These rooms also have additional seating should some quiet time be required – the benefit of a Victorian villa is space, and this house has space for everyone.
A further twin bedroom (bedroom 4) is accessed through a twin (bedroom 3) and is the perfect set up for children or individual travelling friends; bedroom 4 is located down two steps and separated by a door. The final double bedroom has views of the countryside and moorland, and with the windows open you can also enjoy the sound of peacefulness or the joy of the children playing in the garden. This is a versatile room with a 'zip and link' option and is closest to the shower-room on the half-landing.
The garden is a wonderful space for young and old to enjoy and will offer hours of playtime for your little people. The sitting-area outside the front door is perfectly positioned to enjoy a family barbecue and the last of the sunshine and birdsong. There is a stream by the entrance gate and whilst the stream is a feature it is at the bottom of the garden so children must be accompanied at all times.

Mr Farnham
The cottage was lovely and we had a great time, although the remoteness of the location was a bit of a surprise!
Mrs Morgan

Beautiful views. Perfect for walking. Castle pub great
Mrs Bowman

Ms Langlois
It was a beautiful cottage in a wonderful location. It was clean and very comfortable with good quality linens.
Mr Dillon Hatcher
An attractive House in a great location but very disappointed with crockery, seating, heating and towels. Great housekeeper.
Mrs Evans
A great house for family holidays and get-togethers. We celebrated two birthdays and despite a week of rain had a lovely time. The house is very well equipped and comfortable with a lovely view of Brentor.
The village of Lydford is lovely and really recommend the Castle Inn (bit too far to walk to). Lydford Gorge on doorstep. And easy access to all of Dartmoor.
Mrs Gerard
A superb family home from home to comfortably accommodate grown families. In a pretty and peaceful setting, a wonderful place to go and recharge your batteries! Our first UK holiday in years, courtesy of Covid restrictions, but a thoroughly pleasurable experience.
Ms Dixon
This is a spacious house which has been very nicely done up, with a well equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds, a generous allocation of bathrooms, and even a piano. The location is great for exploring Dartmoor and trips into Cornwall, but make sure you have your shopping delivered as there is nowhere to pop out for a pint of milk, and be prepared for no phone signal for miles!
We loved the outdoor dining area at the top of the garden with views of the moor (a real suntrap at breakfast time) and a robin serenading us from the oak tree. The view of the church on Brentor from our bedroom upstairs was beautiful.
Mrs Yates-Smith
A lovely large private house, although joined still offers plenty of privacy to holiday users.
Good for walking, cycling and a couple of good pubs nearby. Lovely beach for children and dogs not on leads was Northcott Mouth, short walk from car park about an hour away at Bude.
Miss Ashurst
Amazing house, very special place to stay. Can’t wait to return.
