Low Rigg
Come and enjoy a break in the Yorkshire Dales and relax with the rustic charm of an original Yorkshire stone cottage. Semi-detached Low Rigg is huddled at the edge the charming village of Muker, with amazing views over the hills from both the front and the rear. Straight from the doorstep saunter through the famous seven fields, and their sheep, to the Swale.
Go through the front door and into the dining-room with its original stone floor and the piano left for you to use along with a selection of music. The large dining-table is a great place to gather after a day out exploring and share a meal of wonderful Yorkshire fayre. Relax in the sitting-room and either watch TV, curl up with a good book, or you could just watch the time go by on the large grandfather clock while warming yourself in front of the open fire. The kitchen to the rear has all the equipment you could need to cook up some wonderful meals.
When evening comes around climb the staircase to your choice of bedrooms, two large doubles and a cute twin, ideal for younger children. Each one has fantastic views over Swaledale. The accommodation is completed by two spacious shower-rooms.
It is outside where Low Rigg comes into its own, with walks and the village to the front and a glorious and unusually large garden to the rear, with a well-built dry-stone wall holding it back from joining the hills. The well-kept lawns and the colourful borders are a delight, and the summer-house is perfect for those who prefer the shade. In the evening you can enjoy an al fresco drink while marvelling at the dark skies, dotted with a bounty of stars.

Mr Greig
Low Rigg is in a fabulous location in Muker just a stones throw from the pub and the start of some stunning walks and the river. It also offers easy access to nearby places and the rest of the dales. It's quiet with beautiful views. The kitchen and downstairs are dated, the kitchen in particular is small with no space to store food in cupboards, far too much clutter and a very small fridge. It needs to be brought up to date to accommodate a family of six which the property is advertised as doing. Parking is also a problem unless you have a very small car. Parking at the property is in the garden and involves trying to manoeuvre a car through a back gate with hardly any space to do so. The only available and stress free parking was down on the road as the only other logical space in front of the property was commandeered by the neighbour who would leave a traffic cone out very day with a sign telling you not to park there as the farmer needed access to the field. The sign was then replaced by her own car at the end of the day.

Very nice and quiet place in an authentic village in the Yorkshire Dales National park. With a beautiful garden and viewpoints. A lot to discover in the surroundings. A place you want to return to.
