The Shepherd Hut at Bluebell Down Farm
Managed by Aspects Holidays
The Shepherd Hut at Bluebell Down Farm is an harmonious, snug retreat, away from the rest of the world with quirky features. The perfect hideaway for up to two people to relax, rest and sleep with a comfortable double bed which has a pull out table underneath to enjoy a lazy dinner and a bottle of bubbles. This delightful shepherd's hut looks out over the fields and working farm, with natural pastures of plants such as wild carrot, bluebells and chicory and beyond down to the sea. As well as interesting places to visit locally, there is plenty of scope for walking and cycling or alternatively, just sit on the steps of the hut and take in the views, the birds and the wildlife around. On a clear night, stargazing is a must.

Mrs Hacking-Gaines
We loved the situation and quiet stillness of the hut.
Miss Morgan
I return again and again because of the location in West Penwith and because the Shepherd Hut is in a safe and secluded spot. I enjoy sitting in the pretty wildflower garden, listening to the birds and watching the sea and sky change colour. Walking to Portheras Cove is one of my favourite things to do, as is an evening stroll to Chun Quoit. The Shepherd Hut itself is cosy, cleverly designed and adequately equipped. It is a very relaxing and restful place to simply be. I don't have a dog but, if I did, I'm sure they would enjoy it too! Whenever I am there, I think about my next visit.
Miss Morgan
That I return again and again speaks for itself. I love that the Shepherd Hut is off the beaten track, that I can see the sea and that I can walk to Portheras Cove.
Mrs Jones

Mrs Burnhill
We had a really enjoyable stay at Bluebell Down Farm in the shepherds hut which was very cosy and comfortable. It was wonderful to light the wood burner and enjoy the amazing view across the fields towards the sea. On arrival we enjoyed a cream scone and a pot of tea which was very welcoming. We would definitely like to stay again.
Thank you Gina & Terence from Somerset.
Mr Brooker

Madame MANUELLI
it's a cosy place with nice view to the sea and the country, very well provided for all necessary equipement to stay one week in this small hut. we had nice and warm evenings with the little wood burner ?
it's such a lovely place that we were bluesy when we left!
The way to find the sheperd hut was explained perfectly and precisely by aspects-holidays
we reached many locations of south cornwall very easily and quickly
Ms Bishop
We thought that this was a unique and dreamy property .The location and views were second to none if you want to experience the wild beauty of West Penwith . It was peaceful and an amazing place to look at the sky and ocean as the light changed . We sat by the open door on our little armchairs with a cosy fire in wood burner The outside space was also really great and it looks as very useful to be able to wash and dry clothes .
The hut itself was so well considered and beautifully decorated .. so tasteful and comfortable , It was really like perfect camping in comfort. We will definitely return it’s a rather special place.
Ms Lloyd
Nice cosy hut in a great location for walkers but driveway would be problematic for some cars
Mrs Goodman
Lovely 2 weeks at the Shepherds hut beautiful countryside and wildlife. We came to walk some of the coast path which we did. Bought a weekly bus pass which was good value for money, ditched the car and progressed around the coast walking a different section every day, which was very enjoyable. The shepherds hut is tiny, don't think I quite appreciated how tiny when I booked, but adequate for our needs as we spent most of the time outside. The grumble I had was lack of reliable Internet, however the holiday company and the housekeeper were very helpful when trying to sort it out.
Ms Smith
A wonderfully located & provisioned shepherd's hut - It was peaceful. I loved watching the landscape change throughout the day; and enjoyed all the sounds & sights of nature while I was there including young rabbits grazing in the garden. There are some fabulous walks all around & I indulged my love of macro photography. It was a blissful fortnight.
Ms Clayton
Beautiful hut, lovely location, would definitely use this hut again.

Cosy cabin with some great walks. Straight out onto the moors to the south or walk a couple of miles the other way to the beach at the wonderful Portheras Cove.
A great place to unwind.
Mr Moores
I do not wish to leave a review at the moment until I hear from you.
Mrs McKay
We love the tranquility of the environment and the serenity and peace we felt. All I recall hearing was the moo of a cow and the warbling of a warbler at night. The view was mesmerising and the accommodation so comfortable and unique. We will likely return and recommend this place to others.
Mrs Metherell
We loved our time at the Shepherds hut a really beautiful peaceful retreat. The hut was really cosy and lovely and comfortable. We definitely intend to return and would highly recommend to anyone, thank you to Aspects holidays your service was brilliant.
Mrs Dale

Spend a lovely week here.
Watching the sunset over the Atlantic
Lovely peaceful location
Ideal for couple. Lovely local walks. Remember your binoculars.
Good base to explore West Cornwall.
Miss Morgan
I find the clever design of the Shepherd Hut delightful. I love that I can see the sea from the raised bed. I also love how the Shepherd Hut is secluded but not isolated, allowing me privacy whilst feeling safe. I know and enjoy several wonderful walks from the Shepherd Hut, including to Portheras Cove, and it is restful not to have to drive to have a lovely day out. I also enjoy simply sitting in the garden, watching the birds and the ever-changing view of sky and sea.
Mrs Futcher
We had an amazing time staying in the shepherds hut. It is such a tranquil location with the most amazing views and pubs in walking distance. We loved it so much that we booked to go back before we left. A very special place.
Mrs Koren
It was cosy, comfortable, quiet with fantastic views and sunsets but also well protected from the windy weather we had during my visit. A perfect retreat and base to explore the West coast of Cornwall. I had a wonderful relaxed stay and would happily return.
Mr Duckett
Lovely location, far reaching views and very peaceful. We were there in November just prior to second lockdown but would love to go back in Spring or Summer.
Mrs Wilson
Always wanted to stay in a shepherd’s hut and reckon this is one of the best I could have chosen. The location is amazing with views down to the sea and easy access to the Penwith Hills. Hut itself is very cleverly designed, well furnished and equipped. Enjoyed the isolation and safe feeling during Covid epidemic. Great access to coastal path and inland walks direct from the hut. The dog and I loved it!
Mrs Allison
The Shepherd’s Hut was perfect in every way. Everything we needed to self cater was provided and all amenities were spot on. The wood burner was a lovely addition on cold evenings and made the hut really cosy. The view from the hut was stunning and its location, although close enough to Pendeen and Penzance, felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. Just perfect!
Mr Mahoney
Amazing place, so peaceful & relaxing with amazing views
Mr Ridley
Excellent peaceful cosy retreat with amazing views. Be prepared to full in love with West Penwith from this romantic shepherds hut.
Miss Allcorn
We loved everything about the Shepherd Hut at Bluebell Down Farm. It is a beautiful setting surrounded by green fields with glorious sea views, but also has essentials like a decent shower and wifi. It definitely isn’t camping!
We didn’t take the car out all week. The coast path and Pendeen are both within easy walking distance. For further afield bought a weekly pass and used the bus that runs between St Ives and Lands End. Definitely a place for people who enjoy the outdoors.
We only booked the day before we went. Thank you for your assistance, everything went smoothly. Thanks also for the cream tea on arrival, most welcome. :)
