Carn Stables

This is our third stay at Carn stables but our first ever at christmas, as always we had a fantastic stay and it just feels like a home from home. The accommodation is lovely, such a good location and the hosts are always so welcoming and friendly. We have dogs so the secure outside area is so handy, if your looking to book here do not hesitate, gorgeous all year round.

Carn stables was the perfect location for a relaxing break away. The property is equipped with everything you could possibly need, even down to dressing gowns and slippers! The dog shower was a great addition for us after a muddy walk. The property was extremely clean and felt like a home from home. The location was perfect for visiting lots of different places, and the owners were extremely helpful and friendly. This is easily one of the best places we’ve stayed and we will definitely visit again in the future!

The accommodation was perfect and in a beautiful location. The owners had literally thought of everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The location is a great base and we visited many places very easily that were within a short drive away. We will definitely be returning!

Really great stay, me and Dolly will be back! The property is very comfortable, clean, plenty of equipment like a spacious fridge, BBQ, sun loungers, crockery and cooking items in the property. If you don't request the counter top freezer, there is no freezer box in the fridge.
We received a lovely welcome package - apple juice, eggs, cookies, milk, coffee, tea, sugar. Plenty of lovely fluffy towels. The owners seem to have thought of everything! There is also a washing machine in case you're taking a longer stay.
The location is good - there wasn't really anything in less than a 20 min drive so access to everywhere but also you need to drive everywhere unless you're going on very local walks.
2 things that are worth noting:
- the property is down narrow roads so the supermarket delivery couldn't reach us - we met him at "Kitts Cottage" and transported the goods back in my own car (It's less than 2 min drive)
- The property is not completely private, the people in Carn Villa use the fields and subsequently can see directly inside and definitely in the garden. This wasn't an issue for us but might be useful for others to know.

The Owners are incredibly friendly and helpful.
The cottage was very comfortable and beautifully presented. Stunning views and very peaceful. The dogs loved having a run around in the paddock. It was piece of mind that they were safe.
Very handy having a shower for the dogs although they didn't think so.Would definitely like to return sometime.

The hosts, the property, the views and the peace and quiet were the highlights of our stay. If you need a break, a good nights sleep, hosts that are attentive but not bothersome, a clean, tidy, well working space to just relax and unwind Carn Stables is right up there.

We loved everything about our stay! 5 star property, with 5 star touches throughout. Super welcome pack, with lovely fresh, local produce. We loved the space inside and out and so did our dog (including the extra paddock for ball games). The hot tub was very much enjoyed on our sunny evenings. The view spectacular. Gorgeous walks from the doorstep and well situated for visiting all coasts. Lovely hosts, but completely private from them. Would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful holiday at Carn Stables. Helen and Dusty were great hosts but never intrusive. They have done an incredible job in creating a beautiful holiday home. So comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. The welcome gifts were very generous and much appreciated. It is set up the hill with stunning views across to the coast at Falmouth and the location is perfect for exploring Cornwall. It was unbelievably quiet and private. We will definitely be returning as this was by far the best holiday accommodation we have stayed at.

Our stay at Carn Stables was fantastic, the property is beautiful and so well thought out. We were stunned when we arrived.The listing does not do it justice.

We felt that our two dogs (well known escape artists!) were more than safe and they thoroughly enjoyed the open garden space. The property had everything we needed and more. Helen and Dusty are also fantastic hosts and were a pleasure to speak to.

Truly a gem of a find, we cannot wait to stay again!

We had a lovely week at Carn Stables. Both Helen and Dusty introduced themselves but left us to it and responded quickly on text to our one and only query.
The space is gorgeous, we made good use of both the hot tub and log burner. The bed was comfy and the whole place was finished to a great standard.
We aim to return soon for another visit.

A beautiful home from home setting , a perfect haven of tranquility. If you want to recharge from the hustle and bustle of life then this is the place to do it. Helen and Dusty are the perfect hosts and have thought of everything. The stables are decorated to a high standard and it's easily one of the best places we have stayed in and we have been using Aspect holidays for 10yrs ( but staying in Cornwall over 35yrs ). Nothing was too much trouble and the hot tub and all the details for the dogs were just the icing on the cake.

Carn Stables exceeded our expectations and we would love to visit again in the future. From arrival, we were overwhelmed with how lovely the property was. Helen and Dusty have considered everything to make the stay as comfortable as possible for both humans and pooches. The area is very quiet which we appreciated and there are beaches to explore close by. The hot tub was an added bonus for us. Thank you for a great holiday :)

Amazing holiday stay, possibly one of the smartest dog friendly holiday cottages we’ve ever stayed in. Perfect location and the hot tub was a fantastic treat.

We had such a wonderful stay at Carn Stables. The property is beautiful and so much care has been take to ensure everything you need is there. The welcome pack of fresh eggs from their own hens, along with some traditional Cornish fare was a lovely welcome. The location is wonderful enabling easy access ti many parts of Cornwall. By happy way through our stay we’d booked again for next year!

Fantastic property; very comfortable and well equipped. We really appreciated all that was provided, including the items for our dog. The selection of goodies were appreciated too! Dusty & Helen are the perfect hosts. This is a place that I can see us returning to many times in the future.

This was our second visit to Cornwall and our second stay at Carn Stables. We loved it so much two years ago that we just had to return and I honestly don't think we would stay anywhere else now. Carn Stables is the perfect countryside retreat, well equipped with high attention to detail, super cosy with incredible views and just what we needed; switching off from busy London life. The enclosed garden worked perfectly for our little Pom, he loved having the freedom to run around and very much enjoyed our week away.

Helen and Dusty are fantastic hosts! Thank you again for a lovely holiday (and for the eggs Dusty!).

Absolutely loved our stay at Carn Stables!! Helen and Dusty are very welcoming and have done such a wonderful job with the holiday cottage! Everything has been very highly finished. The dogs loved having an enclosed garden to run about and enjoyed the Cornish sun! Also so handy having the dog shower!! My little one loved crawling about in the grass and spying on the horse!!

We had the pleasure of staying at Carn Stables over Christmas. For us it really is just perfect. It’s our third stay here and we would stay again in a heartbeat. It’s so easy to be here with our dogs, having the dog shower is ideal. Lots of safe enclosed areas for the dogs too.

We really enjoyed our stay at Carn Stables and booked to return the following year before we’d even left! The cottage is furnished to a high standard and contains everything you need. Our dogs loved the enclosed garden and use of the adjacent paddock, as well as relaxing in front of the fire. We stayed in the middle of Storm Ciaran and our hosts ensured we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Great location for lots of local beaches and places to visit.

Loved everything about Carn Stables. It was spotlessly clean. The bed was so comfortable and the Hot Tub was just the icing on the cake. We loved our stay at Carn Stables. Spotlessly clean , the accommodation has everything you may need for a super comfortable stay. The surroundings offered peace and quiet, heaven. We visited Cornwalls amazing beaches such as Kynance Cove and Porthcurno and then to have the tranquility of Carn Stables to head back to was perfect for us. Helen and Dusty are such lovely hosts, we certainly hope to visit again.

Carn Stables was so much better than was described and shown in pictures we were very impressed. It was super light and much larger than expected. It was very clean and had everything you could need. Helen and Dusty were great hosts, there if you needed them but otherwise left you to it. My Husband loved the hot tub! The garden was enclosed which was great for the dog and there were a couple of fields she could also run in. Loved the herb garden, which we made use of.
We loved our stay at Carn Stables and would definitely return. Definitely deserves its label of Unique and Boutique!

Beautiful and very well equipped. The best cottage we have stayed in. Very secure for the dogs and everything had been thought of to make our stay as good as possible. Loved the little extras like the trolley for transporting the luggage, the dog shower and the hot tub. Highly recommended.

We had the most excellent stay at CARN STABLES Easter 2023, Helen and Dusty have provided the most PERFECT home to provide, peace, comfort and luxury. Every detail down to fresh herbs to dog towels in the hot dog shower were perfect, too many touches to list. We did not want to go home and will definitely be returning.

This was our second stay at Carn Stables. After our first trip we loved it so much we knew we would be back! It’s the perfect countryside retreat - so peaceful and was very cosy during the week of storms we had this time. We had the pleasure of staying for two weeks at Carn Stables and loved every minute. Dusty and Helen are fantastic hosts. It’s clear how much love and attention to detail has gone into creating the Stables. Thoughtfully created to be dog friendly especially the outside shower, useful for showering our spaniels off after a day at the beach.

Well what can I say this place is amazing in every way .Helen and Dusty are amazing hosts with helpful suggestions for places to visit and eat.The accommodation is well thought out with lovely touches .The food hamper and fresh herbs were amazing and used throughout the week.I We loved coming back after a day exploring ..The decor was very tasteful and accommodation was very comfortable ..It felt like a big warm hug when you came home ,so relaxing with amazing views … what more could you ask for .

We had the most amazing stay at Carn Stables and cannot rave enough about the experience, 10/10. The property is immaculate in presentation and cleanliness, you can really tell so much love has gone into it, the attention to detail with the facilities is unmatched! We brought our spaniel with us, and he loved (as did we!) the enclosed nature to roam, and the offering of an adjoining field for exercising. The local area is stunning and full of scenic walking routes, and jumping in the car, the majority of Cornwall's hotspots are within a half-hour drive! Highlights for us would be the use of the relaxing Hot Tub, the cosy log burner and the amazingly comfortable bed after long days exploring! Dusty and Helen are such lovely hosts, they truly care so much, and we would not hesitate in the slightest to return in the future!

Carn Stables is an exceptional accommodation. From the minute we arrived we could see how much love, care and hard work had been taken to make this such an idyllic place to have a perfect and totally relaxing holiday. It was spotlessly clean throughout amazing level of luxury and very generous Cornish welcome gifts. The bed was very large and superbly comfortable. The hot tub is set in the most beautiful location, equally spotless and so enjoyable to have an early morning dip listening to the birdsong or watching lovely sunsets.
We instantly knew Dusty and Helen were genuinely a truly lovely couple and the most perfect hosts.We can’t rate this gorgeous accommodation enough and will definitely return.

We had a wonderful week as first timers in Cornwall and Carn Stables really exceeded our expectations. Dusty and Helen were great neighbours and the attention to detail was just wow! You can really see how much love has gone into Carn Stables and every aspect felt like luxury. Dusty was fab and gave us lots of great recommendations of places to visit and things to see during our stay. We really loved how secluded and peaceful it was and so did Barney, our yappy Pomeranian. The hot tub was such a treat and we really felt relaxed for the duration of our stay - we were both able to switch off, recharge our batteries and we slept so well, we were sad to go home!

If you are thinking of staying at Carn Stables, book it ASAP, you will not be disappointed. We would definitely return!

Love it! We have stayed in lots of places in Cornwall now and this is right up there with the very best. The accommodation was exactly as described and spotlessly clean and has everything you need. Everything was just like in the pictures on the Aspect website. There is plenty of space for your dog to relax outside along with a hot tub for the humans to enjoy day or night. The property is in a lovely quiet location with lots of walking routes nearby but still only just over 30 mins drive away from St Ives. Helen and Dusty were really friendly and quick to help if you needed anything.

We had the most relaxing holiday with our dogs than we have ever had. The location was so quiet and peaceful. Loved it.
Clean and well presented, stunning really. The dogs were catered for just us much as us! We have 2 terriers and the garden was totally secure. The hosts were very lovely too!

A lovely spring break in a peaceful location. We enjoyed the hot tub after our bike rides and indulged in the delicious Cornish treats provided. At the top of a hill and seemingly miles from anywhere it was an ideal spot for us. Our usual supermarket delivered our shopping here and we also found a few interesting eateries in the area. The cottage was furnished to a high standard and had everything we could possibly need, even a trolley to help transport the luggage from door to door.

Wow, everything about Carn Stables exceeded our expectations. The standard and quality is exceptional and reflects the care and attention Dusty and Helen give to the property as well as their guests, especially our four legged friends. We love the little thoughts to detail... dog towels on hooks ready for muddy paws, the boot rack, cushions and blankets for outside, and not least the Cornish theme welcome goodies. It was lovely to meet Helen and Dusty, well done for such a lovely home.

do not hesitate to book carn stables for a lovely stay in cornwall. carn stables has been furnished and completed to a high standard it feels like luxury. our two sausage dogs loved staying here even more, the secure paddock and log fire was a touch. carn stables is a great location to get to nearby beaches 15/20 minutes away! we would 100% stay here again and we have already recommended to all of our family and friends. thank you so much for a lovely stay!

What a little gem. Awesome awesome awesome. Absolutely no complaints. The host Helen & Dusty were incredibly welcoming, professional but unbelievably discreet. The stables wants for nothing and the location is fantastic. 1 minute walk and you are on Carn Marth with an abundance of bridle ways and foot paths. So good we have booked again for 2022.

I would agree with all the positive comments made about Carn Stable. It was spotlessly clean & very comfortable, lovely under floor heating, soft fluffy towels, super comfy bed, great TV, well equipped kitchen, bubbly hot tub under the stars. We wanted for nothing during our week away, it was so peaceful & a real escape from the world but a short drive from the coast & Falmouth/Truro. We did some great walks from the cottage too which was area we hadnt discovered before. Dusty & Helen are really friendly and genuine people who put a lot of love into the property to make it a perfect holiday home. We don't usually go to the same place twice but I will make an exception for Carn Stables & intend to come back next year!

Absolute perfection is the only way we can describe our recent stay at Carn Stables! We have holidayed many times in Cornwall and this is our best property for two find ever. It was spacious, warm and very comfortable and we loved the decor and furnishings- you can tell a lot of hard work and thought has gone into the renovation by the owners Dusty & Helen, who are two of the nicest people you could meet. The central location is ideal for visiting both North and South coasts. Being able to have a soak in the hot tub after a day’s walking was fabulous and the enclosed garden was great for Buster the dog. We immediately booked again for Easter and the only disappointing thing was that we couldn’t book summer as it’s already full ??

The Stables and surroundings are just beautiful and are a credit to the owners. You can clearly see all the thought & hard work they have put in to the renovation.
If you appreciate nature, nice things and country life you will absolutely love it here.. We especially enjoyed the hot tub whilst watching the glorious sunrise, so peaceful.

Carn Stables is an amazing holiday let. It is a real home from home, every finer detail has been considered. If you need something, you'd be guaranteed to find in one of the drawers or rooms, as in home comfort equipment. They had made up the travel cot for the baby in advance of our stay which was helpful and saved on space in the car. Picturesque surrounding areas, lovely hot tub. The owners are friendly, helpful and welcoming. Perfect.

Carn Stables is absolutely stunning! It felt like home but at the same time it felt like a luxury hotel?! The welcome food / drink was much appreciated. Everything had been thought of to cater for guests & furry companions. The location is breath taking (I dreamt of winning the lottery & purchasing it!). Lovely touches like the dressing gowns & slippers, an outdoor heated shower for the dog. Obviously the hot tub took it to another level! Watching the sunset with a glass of prosecco in the evenings. And in the mornings watching the sun rise with a cup of Cornish coffee. We have already booked to come back next year!

We visited Carn Stables in August, the owners are lovely, helpful without being intrusive. The barn is so clean and very tastefully decorated with everything we needed. The hot tub is lovely, though the weather wasn’t great but we went in twice. The location is a bit difficult to get to as the roads are very narrow and the bushes are overhanging so did scratch our car! The customer service we received from Aspects wasn’t the best, I tried to change a few things when my circumstances had changed and didn’t receive much help or understanding! We had to drive to get to any facilities but we knew that when booking.

Carn Stables is a perfect place for a quiet rural relaxing time away, with beautiful views. Location is so convenient, all our favourite places within 20 minutes or so ( Helston, Lizard beaches, Godrevy, St Ives, Falmouth, Truro, Porthleven, onto Penzance and further on) First class accommodation which has been wonderfully thought out and clearly built with love. Everything provided that was needed and very private with fab outside space. Lovely welcome from Helen &Dusty.
We have booked with Aspects for 28 years, from honeymoon, to 3 young babies, to 3 teenagers and now back to just us 2!! First class service as always.

We absolutely loved our stay at Carn Stables. High quality accommodation, excellent facilities, lovely hosts and gorgeous setting. The location is pretty rural which is what we wanted, I believe there are a couple of pubs in walking distance although we didn’t attempt it. Ideally located to get to lots of Cornish beauty spots too. Initially I had a minor panic I wouldn’t be able to have ice in my G&T but panic not, there’s even an ice machine! Dusty and Helen are great hosts and close by if you need anything but not too close! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and would definitely love to return, Jenny & Steve

We booked this before the photos were even online so really did take a chance on this one, but oh wow did it pay off!

It is the perfect adult escape with stunning views and 5 star accommodation with all the trimmings. From the welcome treats on arrival to the robes and slippers in the bedroom we were well and truly spoilt.

You’re just 20-30 minutes away from gorgeous beaches, beautiful towns and fantastic food from this countryside gem.

We absolutely loved our stay at Carn Stables. The property was absolutely lovely and the setting beautiful! It was lovely to see the horse and geese in the fields (but you are completely protected from them) and the hot tub with a view was the dream! There is everything that you need for your stay, fluffy towels, hairdryer, iron etc and great amenities (washer/dryer, dishwasher, strong WiFi, smart TVs). Very comfy beds too and the skylights in the bedroom have blinds so you can choose your light levels to wake up to. All immaculately clean and well thought out. The couple that own it are super lovely, have thought of everything, and it was really nice to be able to chat to them about the history of the property too. The area is great for walking and easy to drive to the coast. Would happily live here! Will definitely be back! :)
