This is our 3rd time here and we love it. Walk to an empty beach, amazing playroom, can’t wait to come again. Thank you
Mr Kellett
We had a really enjoyable stay at this holiday property. It’s a large, traditional home—full of character with older-style décor and furnishings. Whilst the decor is not modern, it was comfortable, well-kept, and had a great atmosphere.
The kitchen was modern and well-equipped, which made self-catering easy, and the ample parking is a real plus, especially for a larger group, although a tumble drier would have been useful on occasion.
The property is full of charm, but it’s worth noting there are several level changes throughout the garden and house. It takes a little time to get used to, and it would benefit from clearer markings or added safety measures to help avoid trips or falls.
The location is truly fantastic—peaceful, scenic, and just a short walk to a beautiful beach that was perfect for walking our dogs and long coastal walks. There’s a public footpath that takes you directly to the beach, and the walking opportunities in all directions were one of the highlights of our stay. We even met a lovely, friendly neighbour who was full of local tips and very helpful.
The garden is spacious, private and a great place to relax, very well maintained and with interesting planting. Having electric car charging on-site was a real bonus—it made things so much more convenient.
The owner was responsive and helpful when needed but always discreet. And while we did get a crash course in septic tanks, it’s manageable and just something to be aware of.
All in all, this is a charming and well-located property in the beautiful west of the island, ideal for larger groups looking for a quiet coastal break with excellent walking and beach access (or a noisy one during TT week). We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.
