Located just a short stroll away from the beautiful beaches of Seaview, Alcantara is a magical place for a holiday. With oodles of space, stylish interiors and classic furnishings, this is the perfect holiday home for families or groups of friends looking for an Island escape.

From the moment you arrive at Alcantara you will be enchanted. The spacious entrance porch is ideal for storing your shoes and sandals and the hallway welcomes you into this beautiful home. The two separate sitting-rooms are cosy and inviting, both having a TV so the adults and children can enjoy different entertainment. Light fills the kitchen/diner where guests can gather around the large table for sociable meals and the kitchen has all the equipment you will need including the all-important dishwasher. A separate utility room is home to the washing machine and dryer.

Bedroom one is situated on the ground floor, with a comfy king-size double bed and en suite cloakroom. A separate wet-room, accessed via the utility-room can be found on the ground floor and is perfect for a refreshing shower or rinsing sandy toes. There is also a door from the garden into the wet-room, ideal for accessing direct from the beach. Climb the stairs where you will find two additional bedrooms. Bedroom two has a king size bed and bedroom three has two sets of bunk beds, great fun for the children in the party. The bunk-beds have the advantage of a double bottom bed and single top bunk however this room can only accommodate a maximum of four guests. Both bedrooms have access to the shared access bathroom with a bath and shower over.

To the rear of Alcantara you will find a secluded south-facing garden with lawn-area and established shrubs. This pretty spot is ideal for al fresco dining in the Island sunshine and great for the kids and family dog to let off steam. Private parking is available for one car with additional parking available on the road. This detached holiday home is in a great location, within easy reach of village amenities and perfect for holidays on the Island.

Our four night stay at Alcantara in Seaview on the Isle of Wight was excellent. The house had everything we needed and was particularly well equipped for one member of our party who couldn’t manage stairs so had the downstairs bedroom and bathroom. The location is perfect with a less than 5 minute walk down to the beach . Staying in late December, we weren’t expecting good weather, the space in Alcantara allowed us to play games, do a huge jigsaw and generally relax and catch up with family. The kitchen and dining facilities allowed a lovely communal space to eat and chat. A lovely place to stay. We would love to revisit in the summer

This was our second visit to this attractive and well equipped cottage. The location is quiet and very good for walking to the beaches and the community store. The down stairs bedroom is perfect for the less mobile, but the stairs are steep if there are two older couples or children with mobility problems. The garden is charming and the house is dog friendly. We have already booked our next holiday there! Would strongly recommend.

The cottage was excellent, very well appointed and clean. It had everything that is needed for a short stay. The village took me back many years to my childhood with few shops and narrow streets. We found this really refreshing in the midst of the razzmatazz of the the modern world. A short walk and you are on the beach and a slightly longer walk and you are back heading towards Ryde. This is a fantastic location and we would love to return.

Alacantara is very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. The best thing about Alacantara is the very short walk to the beach. Seaview is very small and the community shop supplies the essentials but there is big supermarket 10 minutes away in Ryde.

Fantastic cottage. We loved the location, and the fact that parking was plentiful, as we had two cars. Everything had been thought about when renting the cottage as a holiday let. The rooms are spacious and clean. Pleased that there was tea, coffee and milk supplied when we arrived. Kitchen well stocked if you wanted to cook. Lovely quiet location, yet minutes to the beach. Tesco is a ten minute drive away.
