The sitting-room has doors which open out on to the pretty garden so you can relax on the sumptuous sofa and listen to birdsong whilst enjoying a good book. The wood-burning stove will keep you warm in the cooler months making this property ideal for holidays at any time of year. The kitchen is well laid out and equipped with everything you could need to cook up a feast. Conveniently, doors lead out from the kitchen to the rear courtyard where you can enjoy your morning coffee in the secluded sunshine before heading out for a day of Island adventures.
Please note the shower-room is on the ground floor.
The two comfortable bedrooms are on the first floor, a king-size double and a twin room. The double bedroom has fabulous sea views over the Solent and you can sit up in bed and watch the water world go by. Both bedrooms are beautifully styled with luxurious bedding for ultimate comfort.

A fantastic time spent staying at Solent view cottage. It very clean on arrival and the kitchen had everything we could need to cook whilst staying. The views across the silent from the bedroom window were fantastic. I loved sitting in the lounge with the front patio doors open of afternoon enjoying the sun whilst reading.

This a lovely tiny cottage, well presented and clean.
We found it suitable for a couple with one young child, though the stairs are steep as noted and it's a 2 up ,2 down cottage with a bathroom.
The location is great, 5 minutes walk to the pebble beach, pub and playground. On the 32 bus route and a 10 minute walk to the Number 1 bus stop to Cowes or Newport.

This is a lovely comfortable cottage in a quiet lane. It's a bit on the small side but perfect for 2-3 people. Lots of lovely local walks down to Gurnard/Cowes and along the coastal path. The cottage was very clean and Clare, the housekeeper couldn't have been more helpful and the welcome basket was very welcome with scones and clotted cream as well as some wine. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, lovely shower and the log burner with its supply of logs was cosy on the cooler evenings. We would definitely recommend to family and friends as a great place to stay.

We enjoyed our week at Starboard Side Cottage. It is well located a 5 minute walk to Gurnard beach and around 30 minute walk along the coast to Cowes. It has been very tastefully decorated and the kitchen is well equipped. The beds are comfy and it was clean. BUT, be aware that it is VERY small! There are only three chairs in the sitting room (a small two seater sofa and and a small armchair) and there are no dining chairs around the small table in the kitchen so there is no where for four people to sit or eat. We walked to the beach where there are picnic benches which was fine in sunny weather but obviously not ideal!

I loved the decor, you can tell the owner is an interior designer. I not only went home feeling relaxed, but also got some great ideas for my home.
I had the best time in IOW. I'm a single Mum of a son who is 8 years old, it was a full on holiday, but I could relax here and I am hoping I can go back.
