Ballachrink Lodge
Ballachrink Lodge is a stylish self catering holiday cottage located in the small village of Glen Maye on the west coast of the Isle of Man, just south of Peel.
The property sleeps 4 people across 2 bedrooms and is immaculately presented with modern furnishings. Floor-to-ceiling windows let in plenty of natural light and there is access to the rear enclosed garden through French doors from the open-plan living area. There you can find a patio area featuring garden furniture and a BBQ to make the most of the summer sun!
Glen Maye is a quiet village, perfect for a relaxing getaway or if you'd like to get off the beaten track! The village is the home to a listed Manx National Glen of the same name, famous for its waterfall and bridged gorge. Follow the path through the woodland and the stream will lead you to a pebble beach and the Irish Sea. You can discover other walks across the Isle of Man here!
Peel, one of the Isle of Man's main towns, is a short drive or bus journey away. Here you can visit Peel Castle, originally a place of worship before becoming the fort of Magnus Barefoot. Don't forget The House of Manannan, which explores the Island's Celtic, Viking and maritime past! Discover the culinary delights on offer from fresh ice cream to kippers smoked on the quayside at Manx Moore Kipper Factory using oak chips in a century old tradition. Peel has an array of pubs and restaurants. Explore the town's mazy streets and it' independent shops, you never know what you might find!

Accessibility: This property is based on the ground floor, with small steps in and out of the property at the front and rear doors. If a shower stool is required, please let the owner know on arrival.
Damage: Important! We are committed to protecting our properties which is why we now take a £35 fee from each booking as a damage waiver. This is included in the price you pay and covers you for up to £500 worth of accidental damages to the property that could occur whilst you are staying.

Amazing I’d definitely recommend this too all.. The welcome pack for both us & the dog again first class & lovley to have after a long journey.. Very clean & well stocked. Lovley & very friendly hosts.

The welcome pack is the best we have ever seen. There was almost enough items to last a week. The property is very warm and cosy. The open plan kitchen/diner/lounge is huge. The waterfall is a 10 minute walk away and well worth a visit. All of the Manx heritage sites are also worth a visit (free for NT or EH members). Roberta was very friendly and the property is a testament to her (and Shaun's) hard work.

Roberta and Shaun were friendly and helpful and Ballachrink Lodge is a lovely place to stay. Very clean and tidy and accommodated our three boys and dog very well. The garden is kid and dog friendly and the location is ideal for travelling to our favourite places. Would highly recommend.

A lovely lodge with all the home comforts we needed. Spacious bedrooms suiting 2 adult couples, each with en-suite and good storage space. Great living, dining & cooking room, with all the utensils & equipment we could possibly have needed, and comfortable seating. It was very warm during our stay, and the multiple fans provided were appreciated, as was the garden furniture in the well-maintained garden.
Thoughtful owners who provided an amazing Welcome Hamper and lots of useful information, and clearly want to provide a lovely experience for all guests.
A good location to explore the island from. Due to no local pubs/restaurants etc we found it best to eat out during the day and then enjoyed relaxing in the property and preparing evening meals there.
