Good or bad, we publish all the reviews left by the guests who have stayed at this property.

Sorry, we don't have any reviews to show you for Meadow View, Newlyn yet.

Mr Homewood

It’s our third year staying at Meadow View, can’t recommend it enough. A very easy place to stay and unwind.
Newlyn its wonderful with just about everything you need, we really enjoy eating out in some of the excellent restaurants.

Mrs Whitelaw

Excellent location for attending course at Newlyn school of Art , easy walk to Newlyn & co-op. Parking, lovely garden, nice views out, - very comfortable. Light is beautiful.

Mrs Blunden

We loved everything about our stay at Meadow View.
The view, the garden, the location!
The cottage itself is lovely - so comfortable and clean.
We would love to return again - it was a delight.

(A word of warning to motorists. There is parking but the turn into the lane has a pothole and cement post which is tricky if a car is approaching and a car parked by the entrance.
We learned this when our car was damaged as we drove in. It’s also tricky getting on to the main harbour road so another person is great if they can guide you).

Mrs Groves

Lovely place, short walk into the town, beautiful views and lovely to sit in an evening with the bifold doors open.

Very well equipped and comfortable, lovely garden, ut a washing line would really help.

Pls note garden is not secure if you have a dog, there are 2 sets of steps leading onto the lane, which ruined our enjoyment of the garden, because we had to constantly watch our young dog.

All in all a super place.

Miss Tompkins

We had a wonderful stay at Meadow View in Newlyn. We were blown away by the beautiful garden, the chalet was beautiful, very well appointed and comfortable. The parking spaces with the chalet were hugely valuable and a welcome haven from the narrow lanes of Newlyn.
Beautiful view over Mounts Bay too to wake up to every day.

Mr Gledhill

We booked the property last minute due to the excellent weather forecast for the following week.
Property is well located for flat walking to Mousehole (2miles) and St Michaels Mount (4miles), and has bi fold lounge doors affording views across the bay. Internal decoration is good, but external redecoration to the wooden structure is well overdue.
The access road to the property is narrow, but so are all roads in Cornwall. The property description states not suitable for ‘low slung’ vehicles, and to clarify my experience was that any front trim with less than an 8 inch clearance from the ground will scrape on the road when entering or leaving the property.
There is no roadside parking available and the public car parks fill up with locals cars as they are free to use from 16.00 to 9.00 daily.

Mrs Payne

This was our second visit to Meadow View and it was as lovely as the first. The cottage is perfectly positioned within walking distance of Newlyn and Penzance and has great views across the bay. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay especially the wood burner for the chilly nights (it was February). All in all a great stay, we will be back again.

Mr Homewood

Our second time at Meadow View and it’s such an easy space to relax in.
We appreciated the garden for our small dog and the parking is a real bonus.
Perfect spot for exploring Newlyn and the surrounding area. We only moved the car twice as it’s so easy to walk everywhere or to use the public transport.

Mrs Payne

Fabulous stay at Meadow View, the location is amazing as is the view of St Michaels Mount. The property has all you need and is very comfortable and the garden is a bonus, our Cockapoo loved exploring. The access is a little tight and you may have problems with a large 4x4 type car but it was fine for our small SUV. We will definitely be back.

Ms Cohen

Meadow view is absolutely gorgeous. A cute little property with everything you need but what really makes it is the fantastic location (very short walk into the shops, pubs, Harbour), completely stunning view and wonderful big garden (a rare find in Newlyn!)

Mrs Pospiech-Einbrodt

We had a wonderful week in Meadow View. The House is very cosy and comfortable. The stunning garden invite you to while away the time.
South Cornwall with its incredible sights and beaches is easily accessible.

Mrs Beale

The house is welcoming clean and tidy. Beautiful views of the sea from a really lovely garden
Newlyn is a pleasant surprise and great to be staying there
No complaints

Mrs Purdy

Great location. Ideal for exploring Mounts Bay.

Mrs Bainborough

Lovely stay at meadow view, great base for exploring the area, clean well equipped very comfortable lovely garden and views really enjoyed our stay

Mr Homewood

Excellent location for exploring Newlyn.
We found it very easy to stay in and the use of the garden was excellent for our young dog.
Parking was a bonus.

Mrs Price

Comfortable, well equipped cabin in a large, well tended garden which is like a little oasis in amongst the narrow streets of Newlyn. Lovely, open view through the bi-fold doors. Parking was a real bonus

Mrs Berry

Two week stay at Meadow View: Newlyn is very quiet compared to other villages/towns nearby. It has some lovely pubs and restaurants - especially enjoyed Mackerel Skies and the Fisherman's Arms. The fishmongers down the road are great and Stevenson's also sells lovely bread. Newlyn and Penzance beach are safe for swimming and there are a lot of early local swimmers. Nice walk up to Polgoon vineyard with excellent wine. Using the buses was a really nice way to get around and do linear coastal walks.

Mrs Higson

Very pleasant stay in comfortable house -we would think about returning

Mrs Fellowes-Murakami

Meadow View is in excellent location and has spacious parking space, although it might be very difficult for big cars to approach. You can sleep four, but bedrooms are too small for big beds. Nice comfortable lounge.

Mrs Beale

The review is as written in what we liked

Mr Morrans

In all the years we've been going to Cornwall.
"Meadows View", Newlyn, is probably the nicest accommodation we've ever stayed at.

The accommodation is very well appointed, and with the most beautiful large secluded garden, giving nice views to the harbour and Mount's Bay.

Like other reviewers have mentioned. Accessing the property is very daunting. Steep climb up the road, with an acute turn onto the property. You need to hope there isn't another vehicle coming the other way. Not much better if you drive down the road either. That said. Once you're on the property. The parking is ample.

Not sure why. But there aren't any curtains or blinds up at the patio doors. Not a problem during the day. But would have been nice at night.

Also. Be careful with the hob extractor. Otherwise. You'll be bound to bang your head.

All in all though. "Meadow View" is a fabulous place to stay at. Apart from one or two relatively minor things. We cannot recommend the accommodation highly enough. With a fair wind and a bit of luck we'll be back. Kernow Bys Vyken!

Mrs Potter

Lovely cottage enjoyed our holiday there very much definitely would like to go again garden keep neat and tidy view great we really had a chilled out holiday. Just be careful of the kitchen extra fan hood rather low easy to bump your head on

Ms Mertineit

Mr Islip

Had a lovely week in this property. Adequately equipped and with views to die for ! Lovely large garden for us and our pooch to enjoy ?? .Care needed when entering and exiting the lane but not a problem, we have a Kia Niro for comparison if that helps . Two pubs close by . The Red Lion is an earthy locals pub with good food and the Fisherman’s Arms a little further up the hill is a new more upmarket pub with a good varied menu and great views. There is also a well stocked coop down the road. Nice flat walk into Penzance , and a taxi back is about £8 .Will definitely return .

Mrs Murphy

Loved Meadow View. Will defo book again.
Comfort was good, very clean, good bike storage, loved all of it.

Mrs Slater

Very useful to have a parking space. Some terrific restaurants in Newlyn - a good base.

Ms Collins

A lovely quiet location with lovely views overlooking the bay.
The large garden is well maintained.
The property is not suitable for to people who are infirm due to the steep lane and steps down to the property.
Not suitable for large cars.
Fine for a small car driven with caution.

Mrs Gravenell

A beautiful cottage in a fabulous setting! A short walk to to the harbour to buy fresh fish is a must! Penzance is not to far to walk either with shops and restaurants.
The entrance and exit along the drive and road is a bit tricky but is manageable as long as you don’t have anything bigger than a Mokka or you might find it difficult.
Would definitely book again!

Mrs Ryan-Atkin

A lovely, airy property with beautiful gardens, overlooking Newlyn harbour. Probably best for one couple, owing to limited clothes storage in the bedrooms, although the living-room is big enough for 4.
Good dining options in Newlyn - Mackerel Sky Bar, The Tolcarne Inn, and some lovely cafes and food shops. Penzance is a short walk away along the prom, and there is a good bus service into Mousehole (although it's only a half-hour walk), and on the open-top double decker Coaster which goes all around the Penwith peninsula.

Ms Younger

We had a lovely week in Newlyn, the accommodation being exactly as described, quiet, beautiful views of the bay, gorgeous garden, well appointed and thought through accommodation. I’d recommend it. The approach is tight, don’t go with a huge gas guzzler tractor type car!

Mr Arbor

Meadow View is a fantastic place to relax and enjoy in a good location. Huge bonus is the Private parking. Good size property with great views over St Michaels Mount. It has a wood burner which is fantastic for cosy evenings. Beds very comfortable. Fantastic shower. Very much like Meadow View it really is a wonderful place to stay. I look forward in returning.
Aspects Holidays were professional, good and very easy to deal with - you done good with this one :)

Mrs Lawson

Lovely hidden away property in the hilly back lanes of Newlyn. Views over the Harbour and towards St Michaels Mount … Downhill 10 minute stroll to the town
Comfortable and lovely stylish living space , well equipped kitchen. Bathroom had a lovely shower
The property was quite hard to access with luggage as we had to carry everything down several gravelled steps from the parking space then across the lawn with further steps up to the front door . Also not convinced it would accommodate 2 couples for sleeping arrangement as the bedrooms were very comfortable but small in size with limited space for luggage ,clothes storage and dressing space but would happily stay just as a couple at Meadow View again

Ms Hodgson

Lovely property. One level in a gorgeous position up above the harbour. Not for the infirm at all. Steep Rd to property if walking and very tight turns for car access . Bonus is there's a parking plot for 2 cars. One bedroom has no wardrobe so you need to share the other small space in other room. I have mentioned this in my feedback though so hopefully owner will make a change. Great for 2 people but for 4 its limited but doable . Fabulous main window bifolding door in living space that opens fully to the fab sea views over St Michaels mount. Quiet and relaxing. Few quirks that need fixing which I've mentioned but all in all its a beautiful place to stay. Laundry room underneath property , patio and table x6 chairs etc and outside showers for washing down after the beach . Good for furry froend too. Our little dog loved the huge garden. Parking on private Rd and steps down to the property which light up at night. Recommended for anyone not on stick or infirm. Lovely stay . Thank you

Ms Prescott

We loved our stay at Meadow View - it was such an easy place to relax at. The garden is huge and we loved having breakfast on the patio. The the sea/harbour views were gorgeous and it was so relaxing to sit on the comfy sofas and armchairs and enjoy them. II'll be honest and say it was the location and the availability of parking that made us book Meadow View - but it was the gardens and sea / harbour views that made us not want to leave! Highly recommended.

Note: if you use this quote could you not put my full name on your website (Lizzie or LP is fine). Thanks x

Mrs Arnatt

Meadow View is a small two bed property in the heart of busy, characterful Newlyn and is approached via a steep narrow street which requires competent car-reversing ability. The parking spaces are separated from the property by a wide lawn and steps. If you expect to arrive in the dark you may want a torch. We were very disappointed by the poor standard of cleanliness and maintenance in this property, which, in current times, was unnerving. I first noticed a layer of dust on surfaces such as sills and skirting boards. This did not give us confidence that the property had been thoroughly cleaned between guests so we went over handles and tops with anti-bac and washed crockery and cutlery immediately.
The ice-box in the fridge did not fit and required defrosting. The bathroom door is also on wobbly hinges and should be repaired so it will close properly. Overall, both house and garden need some love and attention and a jolly good clean!

Mrs Chalmers

Perfect holiday! Cosy, clean and super convenient for everything! We hope to return in the future!

Mrs Chapman

A lovely Christmas spent in Meadow View. Great views, especially the Christmas lights in the harbour, very festive! Thoughtful goodies left out for our arrival, much enjoyed. Property was warm, clean and inviting. Thank you.

Mr McCall

Aspects are always helpful and thorough. And they know their area No hesitation recommending them

Mrs Wagner

It has been a very pleasant stay, the cottage is as described with all the things (and even more...) you need for an enjoyable holiday. Everything was perfect: the booking from Germany, responding to questions during our stay, the cottage, the christmas decorations, the location ....

Miss. Carter

Lovely property with great outdoor space.
