Coastguard Cottage
Managed by Classic Cottages
Located down a stepped path (via 15 steps), arrive and walk inside to discover pretty as a picture interiors. The cute sitting-room has comfortable sofas, with touches of coastal blue throughout and a wood-burner effect electric stove, just perfect for those cosy winter evenings. Rustle up a delicious dinner in the lovely and light kitchen and gather around the dining-table to enjoy it over discussions of tomorrow's adventures. You will also find one of two shower-rooms located on this floor too.
Up the stairs, which are narrow and steep - typical of a traditional Cornish cottage - you will find two beautiful bedrooms, a wonderfully comfy double room with sea views and a very pretty twin room, both with crisp white linens. Your second contemporary shower-room is also on this floor.
Head outside to uncover the magic of the secret garden, nestled down the small lane adjacent to the cottage; a gorgeous place to relax, soak up the sunshine and admire the sea views. At the front of the house there's another outdoor space with a table and chairs - you can easily while away a few hours gazing out to sea.

Lovely cozy cottage with beautiful view of the sea. Thank you for the gifts as well, most welcome after a long journey.
Ms Draude
Coastguard Cottage is a gem. Small, but perfectly formed, it is beautifully positioned at the entrance to Mousehole with incredible views of the harbour and out to sea. The cottage was cosy and well-equipped with really comfortable beds, and close to cafes, restaurants and shops so we were well-catered for.
We were sad to leave, and will definitely return.
Ms Chitty
We highly recommend this cottage. The location was excellent and it is on the right side of the village for parking on the road in from Newlyn out of season which meant we did not have to pay for parking. There is no road outside either which would be the case for other holiday rentals in Mousehole. It was such comfortable cottage, really cosy and the view of the harbour from the upstairs bedroom was gorgeous. The welcome hamper was a treat!
And Mousehole is wonderful!
Thank you.
Mrs Walkinshaw
We had the perfect week away. Quiet location and lovely to hear the sea. The front garden is a little sun trap where we could sit with our morning coffee, lunches and a few evening meals too. Sun all day and sheltered from the wind. The welcome hamper was amazing and full of treats. We relaxed instantly in the cosy cottage which was small but had everything we could need. We loved being able to stroll into the village with its pretty shops and cafes, and having the beach so close. The secret garden was another bonus but we didn’t need to use it much as the little area infront of the cottage was picture perfect.
Mrs Hodgetts
Traditional cottage with a really useful utility area and great little garden for dogs. Although it’s small with steep stairs to the bedrooms, it’s very well equipped and comfortable, with 2 really good shower rooms. There are lovely sea views from the double bedroom and the garden. Your a very short stroll to the centre of Mousehole and the harbour. There was a much appreciated welcome basket of goodies on our arrival.
Mrs Colman
A cosy little cottage with fantastic views over beautiful Mousehole. Two minutes from the harbour but still a peaceful and relaxing place to stay. It’s worth knowing that there is a small deli in the village that sells some milk and bread.
We would love to return to stay at the cottage again one day.
Mrs Bassett
Coastguard Cottage is a beautiful and homely cottage which we have been to many times. It is decorated beautifully with some lovely pictures on the walls. It is small but it has pretty much what you need. We will definitely come back.
Mrs Digweed
Beautiful cosy cottage in a fantastic location, with gorgeous views.
very grateful for the generous welcome hamper, we loved it there.
Mr Tristram
Coastguard Cottage in Mousehole is the perfect place to enjoy Mousehole. 90 seconds walk from the harbour/beach, lovely view from the front of the house, sunny sheltered sitting out at the front of the house and with its own very attractive garden 10 metres away. Who could want more?!
Mr Hobbs
a lovely cosy base in a quintessential Cornish village- dont miss the seals in the sea just below the cottage and the coastal walk over to Lamorna, suggest pre-booking the car park in The Parade a short distance from the cottage. Sennen and St Ives only a short car journey away.
Mrs Collins
A delightful, stylish and comfortable cottage in a perfect location. Beautifully presented - nice touch was fresh flowers and welcome basket. Make sure you bring some basic groceries as Mousehole no longer has a general store.
Mr Rodwell
We had a lovely week in Mousehole, it proved an excellent base for everything we wanted to do - and we don't drive. The cottage was well located, quiet, very clean and really well equipped, with the welcome items (milk, bread etc.) particularly appreciated. Would definitely stay again!
Ms Upjohn
We had a wonderful stay here. It really is in a perfect location. I loved being able to see the sea from bed! The cottage has a warm and friendly vibe to it that makes you feel at home and able to relax. It's beautifully decked out. We would definitely come back.

Miss Connelly
Nice cosy property to stay for couples or small family with their 4 legged best friends. Lovely location with coastal views and plenty of places to have a coffee or a pint and some food. We would recommend The Ship Inn.
Mr Sandford-West
A beautiful cottage in an excellent location. Light and airy, and well equipped. We will be back.
Mrs Pinney

Mr Percy
Coastguard Cottage is a great base for exploring the quaint Cornish village of Mousehole. It is very comfortable and clean inside and the welcome goodies are lovely. The cottage has both a courtyard and a garden, making it a great place to enjoy the beautiful Cornish surroundings. It is good for dog owners.
Ms Covert
Coastguard Cottage
was overall a lovely getaway, well stocked
and a lovely location.
Ms Elgar
Fantastic stay at this lovely cottage. Very clean, beautifully furnished and beds very comfy. The pictures don't do it justice! Cottage is literally 1 minute away from the harbour. Parking closeby in one of 2 Mousehole carparks. Cottage is also very well equipped with things such as board games, a fan, dog bowls etc. Fantastic welcome pack. Very highly recommended!
Mrs Mather
Excellent, clean and very well equipped cottage with a lovely garden, sea views.
Mrs Owen
Lovely cottage in a perfect location. Really enjoyed sitting outside in the little garden enjoying the sea view. Small bedrooms but comfortable beds. Would stay here again.
Mrs Coney
This tiny little cottage is a joy from the moment you walk in!
Mrs Owens
Difficult to beat location - sea views and close to all the amenities of Mousehole and yet also surprisingly private and quiet.
House is thoughtfully equipped and beautifully furnished. There are steep stairs but there is a toilet both upstairs and downstairs.
Although an obvious choice for the summer, access to the beach for our dog, the views of the sea, the friendly restaurants and the cosiness of the house made this a successful Autumn break.
Car parks are very close so unloading was not a problem. You may decide to use the upper car park near the Coastguard hotel during the summer as although that is more expensive it does mean that you avoid the narrow roads of Mousehole during the busy season.
Mrs Nicholls
Stunning location in the centre of Mousehole with views out to the sea
Mr Percy
Very good cottage at a fair price. Great location. It was clean and well equipped. Lovely garden with some nice touches inside. However be careful with the stairs inside as they are steep so if you have mobility issues I wouldn’t recommend it. The main bedroom is cosy.
Thank you for a lovely stay. It was a lot better than the last place we stayed at in Mousehole.
Dr Ponniah
We had a mixed experience at this cottage.
On the one hand it is in a great location that is really quiet, apart from the seagulls :) Walking distance to pubs, restaurants and shops. Near the coast path. It has a fantastic garden with an incredible view. Nicely decorated and designed. Well equipped kitchen. Lots of character. Lovely welcome basket and chilled Prosecco in the fridge!
On the other hand we did not sleep well. The mattresses were soft and and the one in the double room was very uncomfortable especially on one side where it had seemed to have collapsed somewhat. It needs replacing. Only one of us could sleep in that room and one of my children ended up sleeping on the sofa from the third night onwards. Also the macerator in the upstairs bathroom is rather unpleasant and noisy. The sink and shower in the bathroom do not drain well and probably the waste pipes need cleaning.
If these issues were resolved we would 100% book again.
Miss Hatherall
We loved our stay at the cottage and couldn’t recommend it enough! We had everything we could need and a beautiful welcome package! Thank you!
The cottage is perfectly placed to pop back and well placed to travel back up the coast if you want to. Beautiful food in the village and the people are so friendly!
Parking is all paid although it’s close to the cottage.

Our stay in Coastguard Cottage was absolutely perfect. The cottage is welcoming, calm and cosy, with gorgeous views and outside spaces. Our stay there was so relaxing and easy. The kitchen is really well equipped, and although only 2 of us stayed, it would have been great for 4 people too. Mousehole itself has great amenities, nice places to eat and get coffee, and access to the coast path and ocean adventures nearby. I'd definitely recommend a trip to The Minack Theatre, which was only 20 mins away by car. There is plenty of opportunity for coast path walks, sea swims, snorkelling, paddleboarding and surfing nearby too. And lots of places to curl up with a good book. I want to go back already!
Mrs Blakey
Had a lovely stay at the cottage, decorated recently, very clean, everything you need is at the cottage! Welcome pack a nice surprise too. Good location just walk down the footpath to the harbour., the garden is also along footpath. Parking North Quay £5 per 24 hrs and you can also use ticket in South Quay. The Parade parking is £11 for 24 hrs. Booking advisable in local restaurants. Great little cafe, Rockpool nr the parade car park. Porthcurno beach v. clean and pretty little cove; a visit to the communications museum interesting. Geevor also worth a visit.
Mr Wilson
Very cosy cottage, well equipped, could not fault it.
Lovely reception when arrived.
