The majestic Dartmoor National Park and many more nearby hotspots and attractions are on your doorstep, making a day of action and adventure on foot or bike so easy to find. However, it's not all about walking and trekking, a day on the beach is also a must! You are spoilt for choice when it comes to the glorious south Devon coast which is only a short car journey away. Or perhaps a spot of shopping and fine dining is on the agenda, if so, the stunning Cathedral City of Exeter is a short drive away. Exeter offers a wealth of boutiques, shops and eateries to enjoy, all of which are nestled down the prettiest of side streets and shopping squares.
Back at the retreat, giving a nod to the creative talents of the owners, this charming cottage has been beautifully crafted to seamlessly marry traditional features with luxurious furnishings. The living area is warm and inviting with super-comfy furniture and a beautiful fireplace home to the warming wood-burner to keep you cosy at any time of year. Climbing the stairs to the first floor, two opulent bedrooms await. The beautiful principal bedroom features a super-king size bed, perfect for a restful night. Bedroom two is a super cute single room equipped with a canopy bed, which creates a calming space to curl up with a good book. The beautiful shower-room located on the ground floor boasts a walk-in rainfall shower to wash the sand and sun cream away.
Step outside and a sheltered haven awaits in the rear courtyard, complete with a fabulous hot tub. Enjoy secluded al fresco dining from dawn until dusk along with a sneaky dip in the gorgeous hot tub, or why not try your hand at pizza making in the fabulous pizza oven - all perfect ways to relax on holiday. Or sneaking off to the tree-top terrace with a bottle of something tasty to enjoy the sunset sounds like the perfect way to end any day, simply magical.
The friendly owners live in the attached farmhouse and are on hand should need anything but will leave you to enjoy your stay in peace unless requested.

A beautiful cottage set in the lovely grounds of a country house surrounded by trees and fields but easily accessible to Exeter for shops and Dartmoor and the coast for walks. Very peaceful and private, gorgeously decorated with style and comfort in mind, and well equipped with attention to detail, even down to the nice coffee and tea bags. Loved the courtyard with the hot tub and pizza oven, and the bedroom had a very boutique feel- loved having morning lie-ins! It is the sort of place that instantly makes you feel relaxed, you could easily just while away the hours there but there is also so much to do in the area. We enjoyed walks on Dartmoor, visiting National Trust properties and had a lovely meal at Riverford Farm Kitchen. Most of all it was lovely to come back every day and relax in the hot tub then climb into the very big, comfortable bed. If you are looking for an escape from the business of life in a special, luxurious cottage I would highly recommend.

Bluebell is beautifully decorated and exceptionally well equipped property. The pictures on the website don’t do justice to the high quality furnishings and comfort of this property. The owners have clearly gone above and beyond to ensure that every detail has been thoughtfully considered. We had a most relaxing, comfortable, and restful stay at Bluebell. The bed was lush and extremely comfortable.
We absolutely loved the location and the outstanding views from the lookout. The hot tub was beautifully positioned in a charming courtyard, creating a private, peaceful, and welcoming space to relax and unwind. The owners were absolutely fantastic so friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. They kindly allowed us to walk our dog around their beautiful grounds, which offered stunning views across the surrounding moors and hills. It was a truly peaceful and picturesque setting that we thoroughly enjoyed with excellent links to explore Devon and within easy reach of the City of Exeter.

Absolutely beautiful stay - hot tubbing under the stars, tennis courts and super comfy bed were highlights for us. Host really friendly too - we hope to come back one day!

Bluebell is a beautiful cottage, tucked away in the fabulous grounds of the big house.. we used the hot tub a lot.... it was too hot to play on the available tennis court, rackets and balls provided .. The tree top terrace was amazing.. the views were glorious.
The Antiques Village at Hele, is definitely worth a visit.. about half an hours drive away, so much to look at and a great cafè.... like most places around, it was dog friendly....
