We really enjoyed our stay, the cottage was really nice and in a great location.
The stairs are steep but were well lit.
Aspects were great with the last minute booking and organisation.

Great location close to the harbour. Close to beaches and shops. Only book if you have good knees as there are a lot of stairs and the only toilet is off of the kitchen on the lowest floor. Would suit older kids. Not good for babies.

Second time staying at Tykky Dyw. Absolutely love it. Can’t beat the location and the cottage is beautifully presented and well equipped. Stayed with one small dog and three teenagers. Everything you’d expect from a traditional Cornish fisherman’s cottage, enjoy the quirkiness!

Wouldn't stay here again especially when you have two entitled stuck up neighbours next door that speak down to you like your something of the bottom of their shoe over a minor mistake in regards to the bin out the back, wasn't a welcoming stay felt intimidating going back to the cottage! Oh forgot to mention that they owwwn their cottage and they need to realise the one next door is a holiday home for families i wouldn't recommend taking your pets or young children here as they will complain about anything oh and do not use their bin as they will come outside and speak to you with attitude I felt so sorry for my mother inlaw just wanting to put rubbish in the bin as our general waste bin at home is black easy innocent mistake! Be aware

Have stayed here numerous times… they really have thought of everything!
Really do pay attention to the warnings of the stairs! A typical fisherman’s cottage… beautiful but the layout is a little awkward even after a week…

Fabulous location with amazing beaches, restaurants and shops within a minute or twos walk.

Tykky Dyw is in a great location, just behind the harbour, near the island car park and beaches.
As warned in the advert - the stairs are as described- steep, and its two sets of stairs from the bedroom to the bathroom however completely manageable.
The property is tired but clean.

Tykky Dyw was all as expected and promised, quirky and very homely. Great position in St Ives for beaches, eateries etc.

Great location, lovely clean house in the centre of St Ives. Really easy to pull the car up for load/unloading without being in the way of traffic. Spent a week, working from there and it was a good set up with good internet. Not great if you want to watch TV in the lounge as the room is an odd shape so the set up is uncomfortable but not something we were too worried about. Bathroom is also very small and on the basement floor, so quite a long way down for a midnight trip from the bedrooms but stairs are well lit.

As always, a great experience with Aspects. Now in our 6/7th year with Aspects and it's always great. Super choice of accommodation, always clean and welcoming. Only ever had a minor problem but was sorted super quickly. But always fan, will continue to use and work our way around the rental catalogue. Diolch yn fawr Aspects!

This priority is very tired and not at all clean. It seriously needs freshened up and maintained. The cleanliness was quite appalling.

I have taken a number of photographs to support my comments and will also be looking for some recompense as the cottage is not as described .

We had another lovely stay at tykky dyw, we’ve stayed there a few years on the trot. the location can’t be bettered, the outside space is very useful, the house is very comfortable and it felt like home. We’ll definitely be back.

It is very much a fisherman’s cottage. The stairs are very steep. Something to really consider if you have mobility issues or children. We used the stair gate to stop our dog potentially judging them wrong.

The location is fabulous, the cottage itself was really comfortable. Aspects dealt with any problems very quickly, a great place to stay for a break away.

Lovely cottage in a great location for everything. Very well equipped. The 2 flights of extremely steep steps down to the toilet and shower caused some problems for us as older customers but we managed. Sitting out front in the small garden with a glass of wine was a joy!

Location Location Location - was amazing!

The cottage is very Narrow inside we were a family of 5 for 2 weeks and it felt very small!
The stairs are steep on all floors, bedrooms are good sizes. I thought the bathroom being on the ground floor would be a problem but it really wasn't.

Overall the house is good, in a great spot. I would stay again for 1 week purely for the location.

Stayed here as a family of 4. Excellent location, cottage clean and well equipped.

The bathroom is located on the basement level so not convenient if you need the toilet in the night. The stairs are very steep and narrow, small children will need help going up and down these. The access to the top twin room is definitely not for anyone tall. I could only leave this bedroom by sliding out on my bum. My daughter had a bumped head as she is quite tall also. This however would not put me off booking this cottage again. Excellent location (just off from the Wharf and near to Olive’s cafe). The seagulls did not keep anyone awake at night.

I’ve booked holidays with Aspects the majority of my annual stays in St Ives and they’ve always been excellent properties. Tykky Dyw is great for location and charm, would be inconvenient for some because of the multi floor layout, but I loved it for that. It has all the usual amenities and is clean and in good order. It is versatile and has extra bedding, as advertised.

We had a great holiday staying at Tykky dyw. It was comfortable and perfect location and would definitely stay here again.

This property is so well equipped & located in St Ives. Please do take into consideration the stairs. Although I have arthritis I quickly became used to them & was quite sprightly by the end of my weekend! They are integral to the beautiful character of this property.

Loved this little cottage! We booked again for next year as soon as we got there. The parking is something to content with though, so we left our car in the island car park for the duration of the stay. Luckily all the beaches, town and restaurants are literally a few minutes walk from the front door. Would highly recommend

Tykky Dyw is in a perfect location within St.Ives. You are never more than a few minutes from several beaches and the harbour (30 second walk), but it is still in a very quiet and private position. Although there is no parking space provided, we managed to get close enough to unload our gear and found a much sort after parking space nearby (we were so lucky with the weather that we didn't move the car all week!). The cottage could do with a lick of paint and a bit of modernisation, but it is a great place to stay.

Great location, very comfortable, very well equipped too, nespresso pods etc. nice touch to have bottle of Prosecco for us too. Definitely will come again

lovely property but a bit small for our family, 2 teenagers 2 adults and one child . and dog , very central to all beaches which was great . excellent hot shower was the best thing .Would of liked a king size bed as we were a bit squashed, but all in all we had a great time as always. Thanks .xx

Great location, great house, be careful of the stairs.

The cottage is in a great location right in the centre of town. It is a sweet old fishermans cottage and it is not suitable for elderly as it has very steep, narrow stairs. But this is part of its character and just how they are.
The biggest downside is that the beds were very uncomfortable. The springs stuck out, they swayed and moved during the night every time you moved and no one had a full nights sleep the whole time. The sofas were the same, very hard and uncomfortable.
Such a shame. We all went home looking forward to a good nights sleep.

Great location, very quick walk to Harbour Beach & also Porthmeor Beach. Well equipped property, TV’s in all bedrooms & lounge. Great hot shower. But the stair cases are very steep & the bathroom & kitchen is on the very ground floor/1/2 basement level meaning if you want to use the toilet in the night you will have at least two flight of steep stairs to negotiate.

A wonderfully relaxing week in a beautiful place. Can’t wait to come again.

Perfect stay at Tykky Dyw! Myself and my family had a lovely stay, the cottage was clean, well decorated, perfect for a family of 4/5 with a dog and a great central location. The staff at Aspects were really easy to deal with, friendly, accommodating and will sure to be using them in the future when choosing a holiday rental.

Only heads up about the property is that it is across 4 stories and very steep stairs going to every level, so was a bit of a pain after a while and my mother really struggled. Also be prepared for some frustration parking as there is no parking near the property and the car parks are jam packed and take several laps ready to swoop!

Tykky Dyw is in a lovely location . A very warm cosy house . Front and back entrance plus courtyard are great if you hv surfers in the family . Kitchen facilities are good and cottage has a great shower .
St Ives as always is gorgeous.

It's a very nice cottage in a great location just off the harbour. Lots of character. Would not be suitable for anyone with mobility problems or very young children as there are three flights of steep stairs but as a family of four with a 10 year old and a 12 year old we really enjoyed it.

Fantastic property in a wonderful location. Everything you’d need for a stay is provided. Best of all, the dog loved it.

Perfect location, but property very small - attic room not for anyone who isn’t very agile as steps exceptionally steep.
