Mr Buck

Great location, no more than a 5 min walk to all the beaches, museum and shops. Great choice of restaurants nearby. St Ives bakery is a minutes walk away.
Cottage is homely and warm with comfortable beds.
Great for couples or small families.
Everything is on your doorstep.

Mrs Darwin

Great place to stay , close to beaches and shops , lovely little cottage

Mr Baker

Really nice cottage good location just a short walk to the town couldn't fault anything we had a great time looking forward to next year

Ms L’Oste-Brown

We had a lovely stay at Trecara. It’s in a great location once you’re in! We managed to find a space in the Barnoon car park and unloaded from there as we didn’t want to give up our space. Don’t even attempt to drive down The Digey unless you’re on a motorbike!
We were a family of 4 (kids aged 2 and 4) and we found there was enough space upstairs to unpack for the week. The outside space was perfect for our trolley and other beach gear. The bath and shower were really nice.
The sink is a bit awkward but nothing you can’t manage with for a week. The tumble dryer was very useful. The TV is on the small side, as is the fridge/freezer so bear that in mind when you’re doing the food shop for your stay.
We’ve already re-booked for next year!

Mr O`Donohue

This was our second stay in Trecara. We had a great holiday, Trecara is ideal for us and our small dog. It had everything we needed.

Mr Cryer

Wonderful little cottage, very bright and airy. Brilliant location, just off the Digey, very close to Porthmeor beach, harbour and town.
Amazing how they've fitted so much into the small kitchen - only negative is the sink is difficult to get to.
But that's a minor issue really, we'd definitely stay again!

Mrs Quinn

Great location, close to the beach and the shops and harbour front. Really comfortable living space, comfy beds and lovely property. Will definitely be back again.

Mrs Milnes

A fantastic property for a family of 4 with excellent access to everything St. Ives has to offer. Description and photos were spot on.

Mrs Boardman

Fantastic property, great location, clean and suitably resourced with all you need in terms of home from home.

Mr Baker

We had a great week close to everything our dogs loved it will definitely book again

Mrs Haynes

This picture perfect little house is in a great location. A stones throw from shops, pubs, restaurants and beaches. The tiny gated courtyard is perfect for the dog too.

Lovely seaside themed holiday cottage. Really close to beaches, the Harbour and the High St. Aspect Holidays were so helpful, especially Charlotte. Thanks so much

Mr Baker

Mrs Darwin

Mrs Phillips

Trecara is a lovely cosy cottage within walking distance to everything St Ives has to offer. It is dog friendly and very close to beach for morning walk. Would recommend and hope to stay again

Mrs Boardman

Lovely cottage, thoughtfully and lovingly decorated as well. Used the property as a base for walking and swimming around St Ives and surrounding area.

Mr Rodriguez

Lovely stay and very comfortable. Excellent location and very close to St Eia for excellent wines and lunch. Short walk to beaches, highly recommended.

Mrs Hatton

Trecara is a well equipped & comfortable cottage ideally situated just a few minutes walk from the beaches & main shops.

Mrs Keay

The location was fantastic as that is why we chose it. It was compact but there was enough space to store everything in the main bedroom, and there was no lack of equipment with even a washing machine and tumble dryer included. The outside space was also ideal for just sitting out with a drink and for storing beach equipment, with the tucked away courtyard location meaning it was private enough to feel secure. Also really like the split opening door to create airy feel inside. Lots of spare bulbs etc provided if needed. Heating came on at night /early morning which helped with drying swimwear. Netflix available on downstairs tv was a bonus, as we were able to log into our account. Lots of useful information and user guides for equipment which came in handy.
Downsides, storage very tight in smaller bedroom and we did laugh that the wardrobe was shared between the two rooms, with unexpected connecting doors on both sides! It was fine for kids though.
It was very clearly stated that the property allowed pets so can’t really complain but not being a dog owner myself I did notice a smell of dog on the sofas and throws that put me off using them a little and the downstairs rugs were clearly well trodden by both pets and people.
If planning on using the hob for cooking bring matches or a lighter.
These were all fairly minor issues that we were able to work around so would not stop me from staying here again.

Mrs O’connor

Perfect location. Although the property is small, the owner has managed to squeeze in all basic facilities such as washing machine / tumble drier / dishwasher. Good size for 2 adults, 1 toddler and 1 baby but living room space restricted if you want to put dining table up. Would stay here again.

Mrs Darwin

Great cottage in a great location, very close to beautiful beaches and the town shops , highly recommended and would stay there again

Mrs Perry

Trecara was a lovely cottage to stay in. Tucked away down Hicks Court you felt away from the world and yet, a stones throw from the heart of the action in both the town and Porthmeor beach. Recommend to park on Island car park and buy a week's pass.
We left the car for the whole week and did everything by foot or bud as we explored the surrounding area. St Ives provided all that we needed and Trecara was a homely winter holiday venue. Loved it!

Miss Jackson-Tait

This is a lovely old house ideally placed for exploring the old streets of St. Ives and minutes from the harbour and beaches. Around 5 minutes walk from the island car park.
The decor is lovely and the sofas are comfortable for relaxing after a day exploring. A modern bathroom and a nice little courtyard which was perfect for letting the dog out for their business.
It’s the kind of house where you really have to eat out during the day and evening - the kitchen is quite sterile (stainless steel) and far too small to do anything substantial. Couldn’t open the dishwasher as it hits the folded table, and the sink is so badly placed that washing the dishes or filling the kettle is uncomfortable and awkward.
Overall it’s a lovely base to explore from and it must be difficult to place Modern amenities in a traditional house. Stay if you’re not cooking and want to be in the perfect location.

Miss Siddorn

Trecara is a lovely, cosy home from home.
We had everything we needed for the week and we had an amazing week

Mrs Goodman

A fantastic little gem , within walking distance to the beach , shops , restaurants etc in the amazing st Ives , yet tucked away so also very quiet with no Evening noise etc .
We were a party of 2 adults , 2 children and a dog . The gated courtyard was perfect and safe for our dog to go out and do her business.

We arrived to a lovely bottle of fizz and dog treats which was a lovely touch after a long journey . Thank you .

Beautifully decorated throughout with all that you need for a home from home experience. Even a washing machine and dryer .
We pre-booked the car park for the week as recommended by aspects and glad we did as we may have struggled to find a space .
I will say storage upstairs is a little tight for 4 people but then again I do overpack haha .

We had a wonderful week and would definitely stay again .
Thank you aspects as always .

Mrs Powell

A lovely property with good amenities in a central location. The bedrooms are a decent size but they do interconnect

Mr Solari

Lovely cottage down a sweet little alley in superb location close to beach, pubs restaurants.
Comfy and cosy. Had a great week.

Miss Wright

The cottage location was excellent. Seconds to Porthmeor Beach as well as the harbour, with some lovely wine bars within a stones throw. The cottage was clean and well equipped with a washing machine and dryer, as well as a dishwasher, and has a great rustic feel to it. There was also a nice outdoor terrace area which we used every day. The only downside was space. We were a family of four adults and a baby. It was a little on the tight side for storage, with one wardrobe between the two bedrooms and some of the other storage in the bedrooms taken up by other household items. It is perfect size for a couple. I would also advise arranging parking before arrival, we managed to get a spot on Barnoon car park which is a short hilly walk away after we had unloaded nearer to the cottage. We would definitely come back again.

Mrs Howell

Beautiful cottage in a perfect place in St Ives. Cottage is light and airy and has all the things you need for a perfect break.

Mrs Baxter

Amazing holiday in St Ives staying at the beautiful Trecara. In a brilliant location and very quiet even though in a central location. We did not want to leave!!

Mr Cann

Small, cosy cottage offering great location (apart from access by car), 50 metres from Porthmeor Beach and 50 metres from the main high street yet tucked away in a really quiet, historic corner of the old streets of St Ives.
Cottage offers "rustic charm" rather than luxury comfort but it's location is so good, everything is right there on the doorstep to explore.

Mrs Hatton

We enjoyed a lovely week staying at Trecara which is tucked away in a quiet courtyard but is within a few minutes walk of Porthmeor beach, the Tate and main shopping streets. The cottage was a good size, clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything needed for our stay. Plenty of seating in the living room area and large main bedroom & bathroom. Nice to have the choice of a bath or use of the over bath shower. We would definitely like to stay here again in the future.

Mrs Allen

Beautiful cottage in perfect location for all St Ives. Characterful yet modern. I would love to return.

Mr Okeeffe

Trecara is a beautiful property set in the heart of The Downalong area, perfectly situated for easy access to Porthmeor, Porthgwidden, Fore Street and the harbour. Stunningly decorated and well equipped for a wonderful holiday. As a very regular St Ives visitor, I would highly recommend this property.

Mrs Munro

I'm not leaving a review as I don't think this would be fair to the property owner. Trecarra is not a property we would ever have chosen to stay at (we ended up there after the boiler in our original property broke down).

Mrs Matthews

Wonderful cottage in superb central location but still really quiet and restful. Loved the quirky decor and really looked forward to coming back and snuggling on the cosy sofas in the evening! Will defo be returning, can’t wait!

Mr Crowhurst

Excellent service & the cottage was very clean & comfortable in a prime location I would highly recommend Trecara!

Mrs Payne

Perfect holiday cottage, great location, well equipped, comfortable sofas & beds..... will definitely be rebooking..... my 3 year old even asked if we could stay in it forever!!

Mrs French

See comments above please.

Ms Hunter

We had a lovely week in Trecara. The location is superb , just minutes from the beach and the hustle and bustle of Fore Street yet really quiet inside . It was great to have the outside space for post beach drinks. Having a bath as well as shower was a bonus , the cottage was spotless and well equipped.

Mr Martin

Wonderful location minutes from both Porthmeor Beach and the Harbour.

Mr Jeoffroy
