Island Cottage - excellent accommodation with plenty of equipment. Lovely dining table in kitchen.
Comfy furniture in lounge , although top bedroom bed matttress too soft.
Cleanliness was excellent.
Location was great for walking to beaches, shops, cafes etc.

Another fabulous week in St Ives - the location of the property is perfect.
The cottage still retains a ' cottage like feel' the kitchen has a full range of equipment!
Key code check in & check out was fantastic! This was our 2nd time !

First time staying at island cottage. Family of three adults and three children aged 10 years and under.
The cottage is cute and comfortable and has literally everything you could need! Loved the location, everything being so close meant we were able to do everything we’d hoped to.
The bonus for me was - and this is a sign of age I’m sure - there was a washing line outside! Being away with children there was lots of washing and it made life so much easier.
Definitely would book this cottage again.

Fabulous little cottage in the absolute perfect location. This was a repeat visit and everything was as good as we remembered. Will be back again.

Great location. Double bed wasn’t the comfiest and wifi was a little weak but a good place to stay for a week. Good bathrooms and kitchen.

Ok for the younger members of the family they just wanted food and local pubs.

Really lovely cottage very comfortable ,it had everything that you would possibly need in the kitchen.
We had an issue with a leak and with just one phone call it was resolved within hours.
We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely cottage with loads of room. Close to the Island, beaches and the town. As well as some really nice restaurants

The property was reasonably clean

The outside area was a bonus and it was nice to chat to the neighbours when we sat out in the evenings

On the only downside my husband needed to check his emails occasionally and the internet was a waste of time. It was down more than it worked

This was our third stay at the cottage and was as happy as always with everything. sadly the weather disagreed with us this year so we had a soggy week but the cottage was warm and cosy and perfect for board game playing.
We will be back again.

Lovely cottage in an excellent location just yards from Porthmeor beach and the wharf. The drying line at the back door was brilliant for drying out surf gear.
Showers were strong and hot. Very well equipped kitchen with plenty of crockery for our party of six.

Lovely cottage, has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Just wish I’d booked for longer!

This property is in a really good place, not far to go into town but just lovely being near the island and beach and marvellous for our dog

Perfect location for this excellent property which has a very well equipped kitchen and other little touches making this an ideal holiday home.

Island Cottage is perfectly located for walks round The Island, Porthmeor beach for bodyboarding, Porthgwidden for a swim & the Harbour for taking the sun! All this plus restaurants & shops within a few minutes walk. Aspects provide an excellent admin. & support service too - staff always friendly & helpful. We locked ourselves out one evening and help (& spare keys) arrived within the hour. All good/highly recommended.

Second time at this cottage. Nice comfy house with lovely large kitchen. Excellent location short walks to town and all beaches. Dog Friendly which was our main reason for booking. Steep stairs so not suitable if mobility issues. Recently refurbished with wooden floors downstairs and fresh paintwork . Very pleased and would stay again.

Thank you for a lovely Christmas break at island cottage. This is our second stay and it was just as great as we remembered. The added touches of the new sofa and the Christmas decorations as well as the amazing welcome basket really made our time there fabulous. The cottage is cosy but has everything you could possibly need, the kitchen is particularly well stocked and equipped. Being in the heart of Downalong means that you are never far from anywhere in St Ives and this cottage has become our favourite place to be.

Perfect in every way!

Island Cottage is in an ideal position for Porthmeor and Porthgwydden beaches. It is also just two minutes from the harbour and shops yet the street is quiet.
The cottage is comfortable and warm with plenty of kitchen crockery, cutlery and utensils etc New carpets and floors appear to have been fitted throughout.
It was spotlessly clean on our arrival and we felt very cosy in there.
The accommodation on offer is excellent value for money and ideal for families with children.
We had a party of 3 on our trip and there was plenty of room. It might be a little cramped in the sitting room for 6 adults but bedroom and kitchen space is more than enough.
We loved our stay there and will certainly use it again.

Absolutely lovely cottage

Lovely property for a large family. Great location and everything you need for a relaxing stay.

location, area to hang out wetsuits, lots of room for 6 of us, wifi and Aspects and owner were fantastic when i called because the hot water had gone due to small power cut.

Wonderful cottage in an amazing location. We have already booked to return next year. South facing bench outside the back of the cottage was perfect for sitting in the afternoon sun! Thanks.

I had a lovely holiday in St Ives, but unfortunately was extremely disappointed in the cottage as it was dated, dark, stained carpets, ripped settee and a broken cooker hood, (informed cooker hood will be replaced when owner goes there.) This property is in desperate need of a makeover.

I would not recommend this particular property to anyone.

The Cornish people are all very friendly and welcoming. The Restaurants and cafes are very welcoming, the restaurants are having to social distance but the Mermaid Restaurant in Fish Street is doing a takeaway service of restaurant quality food at very reasonable price. The Balancing Eel fish and chip shop by the sloop was a very organised set up order at the front door pick up at the side window. The St Ives shops are running well in these hard times, don’t listen to the negatives because they are very positive.

Location amazing! Has all amenities you could want for a lovely time in our favourite place, St Ives.

We have stayed at island cottage several times and love it. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with a cottage feel and the location is ideal for beaches and the town which are within a few minutes walk. My children refer to it as ‘ our holiday home’ and I truly wish it was!

Lovely stay Island Cottage

Decoration throughout needs updating, very dark and depressing. One bedroom needs refitting, no walking room around bed at all, totally impractical.
Step into kitchen very steep, found unsuitable for toddler, elderly and anyone with knee problems. Mattresses need replacing, no one slept well. Not a comfortable stay.
Having stayed in identical property on Island Rd for many years, will not return to Island Cottage, not worth the savings in rental cost.

Amazing little cottage in a perfect location, we were able to nip to the beach, or town and managed to avoid some of the downpours that Storm Dennis brought us. This house had everything you could need, including hot water bottles for the chillier nights. The kitchen was probably the best stocked kitchen we have come across in a holiday let, and it made self catering very easy. The cottage itself is cosy and welcoming and we felt very much at home here and wouldn’t hesitate to come again.

Very cosy cottage. Well stocked with crockery etc. Comfortable beds. Nice shower rooms.

Needs a complete update, wouldn’t stay again.

Excellent location for beaches and island carpark.

The cottage was in an excellent location. Ideal for 6 adults as the added bathroom was a bonus. Lovely and warm making it very cosy.

Our stay at island cottage was fantastic the location couldn't be more perfect.

I would be happy to recommend Island Cottage to potential future guests. The cottage is clean and comfortable, contains all the facilities required for a fun family holiday, and is ideally located for easy access to beaches (Portgwidden beach is literally a one minute walk from the cottage), the coastal footpath, shops and restaurants.
