A tapestry of coloured cottages in a charming quiet lane with many houses dating back to the 1700s, is where you will find this cosy, yet stylish terraced cottage, nestled in Cockermouth in the Western Lake District. This pink cottage is a wonderful retreat for friends, a couple or a small family, and your four-legged friend, it perfectly marries a mix of comfort and period charm. Just a mooch away is the town and its independent shops, restaurants and cafes where there is plenty to delight and entertain all the family.

Behind the front door you will find a cottage which is brimming with country style and a gentle, warm welcome. The comfy sofas settled in front of a crackling wood-burner invite guests to sink into relaxation of an evening at any time of year. Gather together in the kitchen/diner for simple yet delightful meals, sip a home-made cocktail or enjoy the simplicity of a well-made cup of tea. From the contemporary and well-equipped kitchen step up into to the charming, whitewashed courtyard where the large table and benches sit aside the decorative potted plants. It's the perfect place to relax in the fresh air and enjoy mornings plotting adventures with a generous breakfast laid out in front of you. And for a different view you could climb the steps to the upper terrace with its bisto table and chairs.

Come bed time, two timeless bedrooms await you at the top of the open staircase, one double and one king-size, promising a well-earned slumber in crisp sheets and cosy duvets. The family bathroom has a bath with an overhead shower, so you can either start the day refreshed or enjoy a hot bubble bath with a good book in the evening. 11 Cocker Lane is the place to unwind and enjoy days exploring the traditional towns and pretty villages of the Lake District National Park.
