Skimming Stone

The flat was lovely and comfortable and was a short drive from the harbour. There had been a problem before we arrived, in that the allocated parking spaces were blocked off because of expected external works. However, we were warned about this and managed to park very close by .
The flat was very comfortable and clean. It was mostly well equipped - except there was only one saucepan ! We loved the shower as it was lovely and hot. We especially liked the very comfy sofa !
We would certainly stay there again.

We had a delightful stay at Skimming Stones. It was spotlessly clean, warm and cosy and in a great location.

Ideal location for our 2 week holiday in September 2025. Property was spotlessly clean and very comfortable.
A good base from which to visit many places and to enjoy when the weather was inclement!

We have stayed at skimming stone again this year and had a nice time there despite the weather . When we arrived we were pleased to be able to sit down and enjoy the welcome pack after the long journey and know that our car was parked safely outside in his allocated space . We met several people in the building whilst staying there and they were all friendly and helpful . We would be pleased to stay at skimming stone again in the future and would once again like to thank everyone invoved in our stay there .

Skimming stone and Charlestown did not disappoint! The apartment was amazing, we felt so comfortable and at home there, had everything you could need. We needed a chilled laid back holiday and that’s exactly what we got. Cannot wait to return!

Skimming Stone is a wonderful apartment in an ideal location. An easy walk to Charlestown, a beach within walking distance (no facilities) and another a 5 minute drive away with toilets and cafe. Make sure you have plenty of coins for car parks and WiFi for card or app payments doesnt always work. The apartment has everything you could wish for and is beautifully decorated.

Had a lovely week at Skimming Stone. The apartment is in a quiet area with parking. The whole of the apartment was clean and well maintained with everything you could need for a relaxing holiday. Beds and sofa extremely comfortable. The private access to the beach was very welcome and less than a 10 minute walk. Would highly recommend Skimming Stone

Lovely very spacious apartment. There is everything you need in the apartment. Good central location so you can visit many beautiful places in Cornwall.

Lovely sized property, spotlessly clean and very light, well equipped and comfortable with lovely beds and bedding and easy parking right outside the door. Although not mentioned in the description, it does have an outside area shared with the other flats.

It is well positioned for a stroll into Charlestown and has a good bus service from the estate. It is very close to some large supermarkets and has easy access to join the main roads to drive further afield. Wouldn't hesitate to return.

Lovely accommodation, convenient for charlestown and access to other cornish destinations. Very clean and lots of equipment. Access to private beach was an added bonus.

We had a fantastic stay at Skimming Stone. The location was perfect to enable us to explore so many areas of Cornwall. The access to the private beach was great and lovely to walk to of an evening. The flat itself was spacious and perfectly equipped for a weeks stay. We had a fantastic week at Skimming Stone and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to friends and family!

We would recommend a stay at Skimming Stone because of its ease of parking when you arrive , the fact that everything is lovely inside the property , and there is a welcome pack too , along with everything you would need to enjoy your holiday there.

This apartment is in a great location for all that Charlestown has to offer. The apartment itself is spotlessly clean and beautifully presented.
We re-booked our next stay before we left!

The property was very nice, just as described. It was immaculate and very well-equipped. The milk, biscuits tea and coffee on arrival were a nice touch. The area was very nice and quiet, the parking space was right by the entrance. The beds and sofa were very comfy, wifi was good. Walking distance to the lovely Charles Town was handy too. Also, close to a superstore and other food outlets. We would certainly go back.

Lovely, clean, peaceful ground floor apartment with parking right next to the front door. The flat has everything you could wish for (special mention for the VERY comfortable beds). The beach at Duporth is pretty and in easy walking distance although there’s a couple of flights of stairs so not disability-friendly. No facilities once you’re down there but that usually means you don’t get crowds of folks so that pleased us! Charlestown is a short stroll away with its lovely beach and harbour, plus places to eat. This is an excellent flat in a perfect spot and we had a great time.

We had a fantastic stay! Spent 10 days and defitinely will come back. Everything you need is provided. Location could not be any better for touring around in Cornwall.

Gorgeous apartment in ideal location. Both the king size bed and the huge sofa were super comfortable! Kitchen was really well equipped, wasn’t a single utensil or item we needed but didn’t have! Dishwasher and washing machine also included, which makes such a difference, plus a large airer for clothes. Perfect parking space right outside the apartment, separate bin stores. Really is the perfect place to stay, would go again in a heartbeat and recommend to all!
