Reviews

Tucked away in a quiet location, yet just a stone's throw from bustling Bridport and the Jurassic Coast, you will find Bluebells. Situated at the end of a pretty row of cottages, this charming home is a wonderful holiday bolthole.

As you step through the front door you will begin to feel that holiday relaxation wash over you, as the cosy and characterful features become clear. From the hallway you have a glimpse right through the rear stable-door to the beautiful garden. Just off the hallway there is a spacious dining-room, providing the perfect spot to sit together and enjoy meals. The sitting-room has true cottage charm, with country-style furnishings and plenty of space to snuggle down with a good book. If you're feeling energetic, why not challenge your friends/family on the Wii. Completing the ground floor is the kitchen/breakfast-room that provides a more informal spot to sit and savour a coffee, whilst admiring the garden. You are sure to be delighted with how well-equipped the kitchen is - you'll have everything you need to cook up that Sunday roast.

Both bedrooms at Bluebells are situated on the first floor, along with a family bathroom. Occupying the width of the house is the main bedroom, with two sash windows overlooking the front of the property. This room is wonderfully light and spacious and has been decorated thoughtfully to emphasise the peaceful location. Adults and children alike will be delighted with the twin bedroom that has lovely views across the garden. Next to the twin bedroom is the family bathroom, with bath and separate shower enclosure.

Heading into the garden from the kitchen/breakfast-room is a real treat, as this is a garden that was originally curated by a floral artist. There is so much to catch your eye whatever the season and we are sure you will make fond memories relaxing in this space. Your four-legged friend will also have plenty to explore and can take shade under the beautiful apple tree on those balmy summer days.

Miss Clark

The cottage was impeccably maintained and thoughtfully equipped, providing a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The homeowners remained in contact to ensure everything was satisfactory and were incredibly welcoming, even allowing us to take apples home from their apple tree. Every detail had been considered, including amenities for children such as bedding and utensils, which made our visit particularly convenient. This stands out as one of the finest accommodations we have experienced, and we would not hesitate to return.
Also definitely try the butchers across the road, good value for money and delicious.

Mrs Ryan

Bluebell cottage was well placed and in a very quiet area. We loved the garden and the house was spotlessly clean and comfortable.

Mr Rowe

Mrs Maylin

Bluebells is a very well appointed, cosy cottage with a lovely, secure garden.
Very close to Bridport and Burton Bradstock.
Washingpool Farm is close by and is excellent for groceries.

Mr Tivey

This is a lovely location a couple of miles from the coast , but a lovely rural feel. Very peaceful and the house is reasonably well equipped and very clean. We have stayed there twice and would recommend it. Lots to do within a ten or eleven mile radius and Bridport and West Bay are close at hand.

Mrs Matthews

Actually the cottage exceeded our expectations. It was a very quiet area where the cottage was located and there were lots of walks nearby,we particularly enjoyed the walks to Loders and Uploders. We didn’t have a car with us but found a quiet countryside walk into Bridport a mile distant and as always a very interesting town, brilliant market and very interesting museum. Overall we found the cottage very clean, comfortable and well fitted out.

Mrs Davis

A lovely peaceful location and pretty cottage. A good pub, nearby, The Loders Arms, at Loders a nice walk across the fields.

Bluebells is a beautiful cottage set in a lovely quiet location.
There is a well kept secure back garden with a patio area, perfect if you are bringing a doggy friend with you.
The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable.
Thoroughly enjoyed staying there and would be happy to visit again.

mrs Pearson

We really enjoyed our stay. It was pretty perfect for our needs. The garden was perfect for the dog and the street was very quiet.
9 mins drive to the beach and 20 mins to Lyme Regis. Lots of great walking in the area. Great butcher's shop on the corner.
kitchen was well stocked for cooking and everything worked well. We especially liked the big fridge freezer.
Shame there's no dishwasher but it was a like, not a need for us.
We enjoyed our stay so much we booked to return in a few months. ??

Mrs Arnold

A beautiful cottage, extremely well equipped, with a lovely garden which we’d have enjoyed if it hadn’t rained so much! We’d have happily lived here!
Parking a bit tricky ,felt rather vulnerable on the narrow road, but there’s very little traffic.
