Nestled in the heart of the surfing capital of north Devon, Crydda Cottage is a 17th Century retreat with all the modern comforts you need to create your dream getaway. Sleeping up to six, this charming double-fronted cottage is a ten-minute stroll from Croyde beach, renowned for its reliable surf, golden sands and enviable Blue Flag seal of approval.

The cosy sitting-room at Crydda Cottage, complete with atmospheric beams and stone feature wall, has been recently revamped. The new sea-hued sofas and chairs are perfect for sinking into after a day spent exploring this gorgeous corner of north Devon. On wintery trips, light the wood-burner and indulge in a film on the wall-mounted flat screen TV. Alternatively, throw a family games night on the games console, curl up with a book in the dedicated reading nook or unwind with your favourite tunes using the Bose wireless sound system instead.

The kitchen, a calming oasis of cream Shaker units, is robust and perfectly equipped for self-catering with its large Belfast sink, range cooker and generous American-style fridge freezer. There's all the equipment you'd expect, along with extra memory makers too - anyone for waffles hot from the waffle maker? You'll also find a dishwasher, along with a washer machine/drier so there's no need to return home with all your holiday laundry in tow.

There's a separate dual-aspect dining space featuring a chunky wooden table and seating for eight. Flooded with light and charming beams, it's the perfect spot for fuelling yourself for a day of Devonshire fun.

Climb the stairs leading from the sitting-room to the four bedrooms, all decorated in calming neutral tones perfect for holiday recuperation. There's a double, two singles and the principal bedroom is kitted out with a king-size bed and en suite shower-room. The main suite also benefits from its own set of French doors leading out to a decked terrace and lawn beyond, an enticing spot to enjoy your morning brew in peace.

There's a family bathroom with spa bath and shower over it. Conveniently, there's also a downstairs WC and outside shower just right for cleaning up after the beach.

Outside you'll find a manicured lawn with an upper terrace kitted out with dining for up to twelve, charcoal barbecue and lighting - sausages at the ready! The garden itself is fully enclosed, so any children or dog can play outside safely. There's also a handy hanging rail for wetsuits and parking for two cars.
