Tom's Cottage
Managed by Classic Cottages
Giving a nod to the creative owners, Tom's Cottage has been lovingly cared for and whilst retaining its character and charm has been beautifully furnished with contemporary flourishes creating a most relaxing and comfortable holiday. Whether you are looking for a peaceful retreat in idyllic Cornish countryside, or wishing to explore the stunning coastline, beaches and fishing villages of the north Cornwall coast, family and friends both young and old will never want to leave this rural retreat.
Found down an unmade track, Tom's Cottage is a Cornish gem waiting to be discovered. The ground floor sitting-room is perfect for relaxing after a busy beach day and the place to gather for movie nights in front of the Smart TV. The kitchen/breakfast-room has all the equipment you will need to cook a holiday meal served up on the breakfast table or in the dining-room, whichever you prefer. With a plethora of farm shops, you will never be short of fresh produce. A large entrance porch/utility-room is the perfect place for all your holiday gear and for some quiet time, there's also a snug where you can snuggle up with a good book on a bean bag or sit at the desk if work calls. The wet-room sits on the ground floor, perfect for rinsing sandy toes after a day at the seaside.
Climb the stairs to the first floor, given the age of the cottage they are a little steep, and four gorgeous bedrooms await, all elegantly furnished in restful tones and luxury bedding for a great night's sleep. The two main bedrooms are so spacious and light with super comfy king-size beds. Bedroom three has twin beds, ideal for either children or adults, and bedroom four can be made up as a single or twin bedded room for flexibility. The family bathroom on this floor has a bath, perfect for a leisurely soak.
Outside and Tom's Cottage really comes into its own. The wraparound gardens are a delight, with oodles of space for the children to let off steam. Pick a quiet spot under a tree, relax on a sun-lounger with a good book or sit at the bistro table outside the kitchen with your morning coffee, there are so many choices! Across the lawn, a wooden table and chairs invite you to dine al fresco and rustle up a culinary delight on the barbecue, enjoying the great outdoors spotting the wild and birdlife who frequent the garden. As if your four-legged companions weren't spoilt enough with the garden , from spring 2026 the owners are opening up The Fold. Just across the track from the cottage, this special field is yours to enjoy—plenty of space for dogs to run, play, and burn off energy.
Surrounded by blissful countryside yet close to the stunning north Cornwall coastline, you will never want to leave your rural idyll.

We were absolutely delighted with our stay at Tom's Cottage. We stayed here with our family for our wedding weekend and adults and kids alike, we did not want to leave!
Tom's cottage oozes charm and history and the gardens and surroundings are beautifully peaceful.
There are lots of comfy places to sit inside and outside and games to play with the kids.

The cottage is absolutely beautiful - thoughtfully designed and incredibly welcoming. We really appreciated the peaceful, quiet location; it was the perfect escape. Every detail had been carefully considered, and all our needs were anticipated. We especially loved the selection of games, books, even dressing up clothes and all the thoughtful extras that made it feel like home. Thank you for such a relaxing and memorable experience!
Mr and Mrs Ferguson
We found that Tom's Cottage was even better than we expected - so are very grateful to have had a wonderful holiday in the beautiful, very quiet and secluded place in a very special old farmhouse with a happy atmosphere. The cottage was delightful in every way and spotlessly clean, warm and very well thought out. We loved practically everything: The owners, local farmers have been very conscious of the environment, and that the land should be organically run and in a wildlife friendly manner. The owners have powered and equipped the cottage in a sustainable and eco-friendly way.
(and add? The Five Star Gold Award for 2025 that they have achieved is well deserved)
Mrs Power
We had a wonderful week in Tom’s Cottage and loved the rural location and large garden for our Spaniel. It suited our family of mixed ages though would not recommend for those with mobility issues. Kitchen really well equipped for cooking in.
It was just what we needed and we would definitely go back. Thank you.
ms Allen
Toms cottage was amazing. It offered everything we could've wished for. We had a fabulous family holiday. So many places to visit just a short drive away.
A lovely touch was the chalkboard with daily ideas of what to do!
We will definitely go again.
The only downside....5 days wasn't enough!!
Mrs Blunt
Lovely old farm cottage in a pretty garden, fully fenced so our dog was safe and happy.
Very clean and comfortable interior; light and bright.
I would happily return
Mr McInroy

Mr Kenward
Toms Cottage is a beautiful accommodation in a fantastically peaceful location. Our family loved the charm of the property, the wonderful gardens and the wildlife which frequently came to visit. We look forward to returning in the near future.
Mr Ashton
I have no hesitation recommending Tom's cottage. It is an oasis of calm set away from the road in a rural setting but within easy reach of tourist attractions.
And the cottage itself has all the comfort you need even if it rains all day.
Mrs Brindle
Lovely quiet location, central to lots of great places to visit.
Nice welcome pack of scones, jam and cream!
Dogs were made welcome with dog beds, toys and poo bags provided!
Well thought of kitchen equipment for all kinds of cuisine, except a pizza cutter!
We enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider returning.
Mr Davis
The cottage (which is probably better described as a house given its size) is tucked away down a lane next to a farm. It is idyllic in every sense. Yet it is only a few minutes drive from the gorgeous North Cornwall coast path and from stunning beaches. An ideal spot for those who favour a quiet hideaway in this busy part of Cornwall.
Mrs Tildesley
This is a beautiful, really comfortable and well equipped cottage. Furnishings & fittings are of a high quality.
Mrs Foskett
Tom’s Cottage was a beautiful base to explore the North Cornwall area.
We had such a wonderful week and it was such a pleasure to return to Tom’s each evening.
It is so comfortable and peaceful and perfect for a family. The boys loved driving back down the track and over the little Ford every evening.
We heard owls, saw dragonflies and a badger.
Such a perfect week.
