Driftwood, St Ives

Lovely modern property with a great specification.

We had a wonderful stay at Driftwood.
The apartment is well equipped and well looked after. Nicely decorated and very comfortable. Really peaceful and quiet.
A great little outdoor space to have breakfast and a cuppa in the morning.
The garage parking space is great.
The walk down to Porthmeor is about 5 minutes and 10 minutes to the harbour.
It's quiet hilly on the way back though.
Would highly recommend Driftwood.

A great stay in a quality holiday home. Warm and clean this home has quality furnishings. Nice quiet location with use of a garage. Great location for Porthmeor, Southwest coastal path and walking into town. We have had several happy holidays in this holiday home.

We have had a very pleasant stay at Driftwood, the accommodation is light, quite spacious and very comfortable with the added benefit of a secure garage.
There is also an outside patio area with table and chairs.
We would definitely consider staying in Driftwood again, we have booked a number of holidays in St Ives through Aspects and the standard of accommodation has always been very good.

Loved the quiet location and 5 minute walk to the beach. Excellent facilities in the house and parking and garage a bonus as parking and driving closer in St Ives is challenging to say the least. Walking to St Ives Harbour was only about a 10 minute walk.

First time in this lovely apartment Driftwood. Excellent location as just outside of town therefore quiet but near enough to just wandering in for food and beaches. Apartment very well equpt, furnishings were lovely. Beds and showers excellent. Beautiful view from the balcony.

Very comfortable and well equipped property in a great location on the quieter side of St Ives. Great for walking, especially on the coastal path.
Great to have a garage…a bit challenging for a larger car, but great to have parking.
Our 3rd stay at this property, we love it, it is so easy. Will be coming again soon.
Once again St Ives is just so lovely…..even in the rain and wind.
The bed is amazingly comfortable!!

This property is not suitable for older visitors because of the very steep hills in the area and difficult internal stairs in the property. There is a small garage. Internally the property is fine, well equipped and has great views. I imagine that it would suit a couple and two children. We did not enjoy our stay and left early.

Driftwood is a lovely property in a quiet residential area. Nice sea views and was well equipped with everything we needed.
Location was good for us-the hill up from town is steep but the walk to beaches, cafes and shops was only 10-15 minutes.
Garage was useful as parking in St Ives is limited, although I think we would have struggled to get a large car in the garage.
Great to be able to take our dog-St Ives is very dog friendly, lots of bars and restaurants let you take dogs in.

Another beautiful week spent in this lovely apartment that is very well equipped to a very high standard. We love staying here in one of our favourite places, in this brilliant location.

We have stayed in this location previously so knew how convenient it would be but this apartment surpassed our expectations. It literally had everything! I have never stayed anywhere with such a well equipped kitchen before! We would definitely book again

A fantastic property in a quieter part of town. Great views over Porthmeor beach. Been twice and had lovely time both times.

Unfortunately the level of cleanliness of the property was considerably worse than we might have expected for the price paid. There are a number of lovely touches in the property and essentially it’s a nice place. The welcome gifts were also appreciated, however it was let down completely by poor maintenance of furnishings (broken drawers and handles broken) and dirty carpets everywhere and black mould riddled in all the windows and in areas I would expect to be clean. Especially with weekly turnover and frequent guests. Had issues with all the tvs and facilities, all of which were switched off and not working correctly when we entered. Batteries needed replacing in remotes (only one set provided) and 2 of the lamp light bulbs were out, they were not where instructed in the owners guide. The garage was a welcome bonus altho the entry into it is not as wide as you might hope for. Ultimately a lovely property with clearly thoughtful owners, however let down by poor cleaning and basic maintenance of the unavoidable mould you will get in this sea facing type of property. Basic additional effort to remove long since built up black mould would be appreciated as this is not acceptable for a holiday rental where children are sleeping.

Really comfortable accommodation, clean, warm & up to usual high standards.
We love the location - easy access to Porthmeor, Porthgwidden & Porthminster beaches as well as close to coastal paths & wonderful walks. But it is on a hill, so just bear that in mind

A very comfortable & well equipped apartment, loved it. The Welcome pack was very thoughtful & loved the beautiful roses….

The garage was a godsend & we have a Renault Captur & went in easily.

Loved the ease of getting on the coast path with the dog. Also, liked good recycling facilities & very well kept communal gardens.

Absolutely couldn’t fault it & really enjoyed our stay. Thank you ????

Really comfortable appartment in quiet location

Driftwood was everything we could have asked for and more. We had a fabulous stay and loved every minute.

Driftwood is a modern and well equipped property. It’s an easy walk to the town and beach - not such an easy walk back though! The beds are comfortable and quality furnishings have been used throughout.
We would be more than happy to stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay and found Driftwood comfortable and well equipped. Parking in the garage was not possible as it was too small. The Wi-fi is slow and could not connect in bedroom.

An excellently equipped holiday property in a very convenient location in lovely St. Ives. Parking in the generous sized garage was a bonus and the property had everything we could have wanted and a few things we never thought of!!! Excellent and generous welcome pack - excellent value too, thanks!

Great accommodation

A very comfortable stay, great location only a few mins walk to the beach or into the lovely town of St Ives. Quality furnishings throughout this property, really well equipped, lovely comfortable beds and bedding. Making in all a lovely stay.

Lovely apartment, clean and everthing you need. The showers were good and beds comfy, however we had a visit from a four legged friend on the balcony! This was reported to Aspects but as we never heard anything back we assumed no-one from pest control had been. Might have been a one off, this things do happen but on this occasion think Aspects should have been more on the ball.

The owners of Driftwood have obviously gone to some effort to ensure the apartment is well presented for guests. It is well furnished/equipped and in a good location. Unfortunately the same attention was not given to the housekeeping and it was disappointingly dirty, meaning we had to clean it on arrival so we could finally relax and enjoy our holiday.

This property really can not be faulted. Beautifully clean and crisp. Coffee machine, dish washer, clothes washer. All mod cons. Overlooks the sea. 10 minute walk into the center of town 15+ for me on return as it is a bit of a hike up the hill. Otherwise superb.

We had a lovely Christmas holiday. A very well equipped kitchen “everything we could possibly want” The apartment is very comfortable so much so....We’ve already made a reservation for 2019

The location suited our needs nice walk into st Ives and the hill kept us fit! Lovely people in the local shops.

Fantastic property in a great location

An excellent and comfortable apartment in a great location .. Quality fittings throughout make this a real "home from home" but with the bonus of a fantastic Sea view from the lounge and master bedroom! Its a 10 minute walk from the town centre , only a few minutes from the beach and restaurant at PorthMeor... Plus, you have the bonus of a garage for the car !

Flat light airy and spacious. Beautiful views. Good quality fixture and fittings. Well equipped. Comfy bed, beautiful pillows. What more could you asked for. Made our holiday. Thank you

Driftwood is a lovely property in a pretty, quiet location with spectacular views. Everything was there to make our stay really enjoyable. No expense has been spared with with the decor or fittings and the beds are most comfortable. Everything in the apartment has been well thought out to the smallest detail. We even had garage which is a great plus for a St Ives property!!

Super layout, superb fitting and beautiful holiday home.

Lovely apartment in a quiet location but just a lovely 10 minute walk from the heart of St Ives. The kitchen is so well equipped and the whole apartment beautifully furnished and comfortable. A great place, whatever the weather, I happily gazed out to sea through the living room windows as the snow came down in March!

Yet again, another lovely stay at Driftwood! Clean, modern, tidy, quiet and extremely well equipped apartment. Mum and I were saying we could easily stay and live there very comfortably! :-)

I shall be returning for a visit next year!

Driftwood is a lovely property with all high quality equipment, all amazingly comfortable furnishings, located with a fabulous view of Clodgy, the Island and Porthmeor, and is somewhere we found extremely difficult to leave.

A comfortable, well equipped house with a high standard of fixtures and fittings in an ideal location just ten minutes walk to the centre of town and even closer to Porthmeor beach.
The perfect rental: everything works and everything is clean.

This was a lovely place which was decorated and furnished to a high spec. We loved that there was a highchair and cot available to use. There was ample supply of kitchen utensils, crockery and appliances..to the degree that we were spoilt for choice. The beds were comfy and the pillows smelt of lavender which was a lovely touch. The property was about a 5 to 10 minute walk to the beach and to the heart of St Ives. It is located at the top of a hill so some people could find this a bit of a challenge but we managed with a pushchair and found it to be a good source of exercise. We also loved the fact that there was a separate garage which did accommodate our estate with no issues. Would highly recommend this property and would happily stay here again.

A thoroughly lovely property and a fantastic base for a holiday. We loved being able to walk to the beach and St Ives centre! We enjoyed all the homely touches such as the feature fire and candle lanterns which made it very cozy even on the most wintery, wet and windy days! We hope to return in the summer.

Beautiful decor, and the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in! Great views of the sea from the living room and main bedroom. We were able to sit ton the balcony and enjoy the view, even in October.

Driftwood has been a wonderful retreat after a hard day on the beach. we've had such great week in a very warm & welcoming cottage. We're already planning next years holiday back at Driftwood :-)

Beautifully furnished with care and meticulous attention to detail and the views are breath-taking. Loved the little touches such as flowers on arrival and access to Netflix. Wish we could stay longer!

A beautiful apartment , lovely views from all front windows, Great place to stay with dogs , great walks from house did not need to use car all week . So quiet. Every thing to a very high standard. Definitely be booking again . Wonderful.

I was really impressed with the attention to detail of the soft furnishings and the excellent standard of kitchen appliances.
It was without doubt, one of the nicest places we have stayed in Cornwall over the last 20 years.
