Reviews

This gorgeous quirky treehouse situated just two hours from London, is the perfect escape for a romantic getaway. Truly unique and in a lovely part of West Sussex, it sits in a secluded spot in the middle of a beautiful woodland glade.

Split over several levels, there are sofas, a dining-table and a wood-burner effect gas stove which is the perfect place to relax in front of whilst listening to the sounds of nature that surrounds you. On cooler days and for out of season escapes, you can pull across the transparent canopy to keep the space nice and cosy. There is a spacious kitchen with a gas oven and hob, fridge and just outside the kitchen area is a wood-fired pizza oven, so there are plenty of options to rustle up something tasty.

Decking leads to another dining-area, which is a nice spot for breakfast or afternoon tea, and stairs lead to the second floor where there is a bistro table and chairs and the most amazing views of the woodland and surrounding farmland.

The bedroom is a welcoming retreat with its wood-burning stove and is dressed in sumptuous linens and decorated in muted tones to reflect the tranquil surroundings.

A few yards away, and still in the privacy of the woodland, is an outdoor shower area with compost toilet and sink.

Little Oak Treehouse is truly wonderful, the perfect bolthole for those looking for a romantic hideaway and somewhere peaceful where you can escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

For those wishing to stay with friends there are two shepherd's hut on site, Douglas Fir (5290) and Cala Lily (5289), which share this lovely location.

It is such a magical place! Book it if you love spending time in nature & taking a step away from the hustle & bustle. Thank you to the owners for keeping it going & developing it, we have stayed 3 times now and have loved it every single time. It never gets old and each time something new was added. This time it was the new kitchen & pizza oven - they are a wonderful addition. The bedroom underfloor heating was amazing in the mornings. My socks were even warmed up by the floor so could put on warm socks in the mornings! The new fire pit makes the fire lasts longer & it also means you use less wood! We love how sustainable the place is - it feels like it doesn’t interrupt nature ?? The owners are so so so soooo lovely too, they were very helpful on the phone. And they also helped us out when our car wouldn’t start = A++++ service!!!! ?? Thank you again for helping us out, so very kind of you. We wish we could live here!!! We will 100% be back in the future to make more wonderful memories ??

Mr Morell

Really excellent time at the treehouse. Highly recommend if you're looking for a bit of tranquility. Our little four-legged fiend (yes, fiend) loved it to. The guest book is full of praise and it shows how many people love this place. We will look to come back!

ms Pierson

Very comfortable bed with good quality bed linen and towels. Unbeatable views and so peaceful - totally amazing to see all the wildlife in the field opposite Friendly owners. Great to be able to take our dog. Felt very at home and sad to leave

Mrs Prismall

The treehouse is an absolute hidden gem. A stylish comfortable and unique getaway to relax and recharge in nature. I would highly recommend.

Miss Hodge

We had a stunning break away for my partners birthday! We loved it and so did our little fur baby. Being outdoors, watching the sunrise, feeling free. There is electricity on site in the treehouse. We went away to turn off from the world but it was a nice little touch. This is a stunning little break away and ticks every box I highly recommend. We will definitely be back in the future. Thank you again!

Mr Robinson

The Treehouse is a magical place to enjoy in total privacy, peace and quiet - truly a special place to create wonderful and romantic memories - and great value too.

Mr Lewis

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the treehouse with fabulous views across the fields. The outhouse shower and bathroom facilities were fun and a glass of wine by the firepit was a delightful way to spend the evening. Spiders throughout, but it is a treehouse after all. Not so pleased by the sight of an outside event venue 10 metres from the treehouse which rather spoilt the ambiance. Very quiet for us, but there's a camping site in the next field so not sure how special you'll feel if that's busy. No WiFi as promised but 4G signal good enough. No hot water in kitchen. Despite the negatives we had a lovely time, including our four legged companion.
