This newly converted and eco-friendly barn is rather unique, the perfect holiday home for those looking for a multi-family getaway in the heart of the Sussex countryside.

Situated on a 120 acre working farm in a peaceful and secluded valley between West Hoathly and Ardingly, you can truly relax, make memories and enjoy the delights this beautiful area has to offer.

This cleverly designed interconnected barn has a huge living area/event space "Pickeridge Hall" with dining-table, modular sofas, table-tennis and enough space should you wish to dance, do yoga, Pilates, meditate or any other activity. Pickeridge Barn is a combination of two barns (North Barn at Pickeridge (5215) and South Barn at Pickeridge (5211). North Barn has an open plan living/dining/sleeping space with a king-size double bed, dining-table, sofa, TV and stairs leading to a mezzanine floor where there are two single beds. This side of the barn is perfect for families or couples. It has access to a shower-room and a fully equipped kitchen.

The south side of the barn South Barn at Pickeridge (5211) has three bedrooms. On the ground floor is a spacious family bedroom featuring a comfortable king-size double bed. There is also a single bed and an en suite bathroom with bath and shower cubicle. This room has double doors that open onto the terrace and garden. There is an open plan living area with a fully equipped kitchen and door leading to an enclosed garden, perfect for small children and pets. On the ground floor is an additional shower-room and stairs leading to the first floor where there are two twin rooms both enjoying countryside views.

To the back of Pickeridge Hall there is a very large open plan bedroom/living area featuring a king-size double bed and single bed and an en suite bathroom. The hall also has access to a disabled WC and changing area.

Pickeridge Barn is the perfect holiday home for families and friends wanting to spend quality time together, yet versatile enough if you want to shut the door and have a little me time.

The owners who live nearby can help guests find local chefs should you want a celebration meal or yoga teachers if you would like some wellness activities for your holiday. These can be arranged and booked with the owner.

Outside there is a large patio with table and chairs where all parties can dine together. Above the workshop is a fitness-room shared with the owners. There is a rowing-machine and yoga mats with blocks for general use and the Peloton bike (please bring your own shoes) and weights are available on request (used at own risk). This area is available on a rota basis. You can work out whilst taking in the views over the surrounding farmland.

Mr Best

This accommodation was booked for my husbands family to stay in whilst they were visiting from overseas for our wedding. Rachel was a brilliant host, going above and beyond to make everyone's stay as great as it could possibly be. The barn is absolutely fantastic, and perfect for a big gathering of family and/or friends. The barn was kitted out with very high end furniture and equipment, including everything you could possibly need. Thank you Rachel!

Mr Dobres

What an exceptional property, built and decorated to an incredibly high standard. With its big open hall space, it was the perfect place to take a group of actors, to go through a play and to treat them to a break in what they felt to be a bit of a paradise. The beautiful setting was idyllic. Huge thanks too, to our hosts who couldn't have been more helpful.

Mr Drane

Absolutely fantastic. We were a group of 14 adult friends and absolutely lived the place. The property os in pristine condition .Bedding and towels like new and not a spec of dust to be found. 2 well setup kitchens we had everything we could possibly need except a lighter for the BBQ which was happily and quickly provided on request. You really can't go wrong at this place.I think we will be back next year.

Mrs Beaumont

If you’re after a place for a gathering of friends or family this is brilliant. Beautiful bedrooms with generous en-suites and a huge hall area where we enjoyed eating together, playing ping pong and a Pilates class. Quiet, secluded location where we could enjoy muddy runs and walks from the front door. The host Rachel is so attentive, kind and helpful.

Mrs van der Horst

Stay was perfect.

Ms Hughes

Pickeridge Barn has all the ingredients for a large group, numerous bedrooms including 'family' rooms, and a smashing amount of sociable open space, indoors and out. We enjoyed meals at the large table, and an outdoors that was great for children, including accessible walks in the woods and fields, making it easy to have a relaxing time without having to drive around. The place has unique advantages in terms of flexible space and attempts to be energy efficient, but the unusual layout can impinge on privacy and logistics. We would have liked faster hot water, a microwave - which is pretty standard - and better housekeeping equipment, so some improvement would be welcome. (We'd like to give 4.5 (rather than 4) stars to the rating, if that's possible.)
