Reviews

Blending the best of both classic and modern interiors, Parc Brawse House stands in an enviable position with near panoramic views of the Lizard peninsula. One of the most southerly residences in the United Kingdom, this impeccably presented and expansive home boasts contemporary design combined with traditional charm resulting in an aesthetic that is timeless and chic.

Developed in the 1800s, it was extended from a fisherman's cottage in the late 1700s. Generations of the family will take great delight in spotting the iconic Lizard Lighthouse from several of the windows. Thoughtfully refurbished, the owners have created a space that is light and airy in the warmer months and yet cosy and homely in the winter months.

As you enter through the signature blue door, opulence radiates from every corner. Beautiful high skirtings and crown mouldings complement the lofty ceilings throughout. Enjoy relaxing to your favourite playlist on the remote Bose speakers whilst you chat the night away.

Delicately styled in relaxing natural hues the first sitting-room is a lovely space that you would never want to leave! Wind down in front of the log-burner after a blustery coastal walk or take the time to sit and reflect on those holiday memories you are sure to make. The room is complete with a Smart TV and Sky.

Parallel to this sitting-room you will find the grand library - filled with plenty of inspiration for your holiday. From the breathtaking views, handy local guides, maps, and books, you won't be short of ideas to inspire those holiday adventures. For those who may need to catch up on emails or some work there is a handy desk space.

From the hall you will find the kitchen and dining-room. The kitchen is perfect for the chefs in the family to whip up some holiday treats; with plenty of fresh produce to buy locally you will be spoilt for choice. The gorgeous breakfast-room lies adjacent to the kitchen, lovingly restored with more contemporary rendering.

There are two thoughtfully decorated ground floor bedrooms, both complemented with en suite shower-rooms, to the rear of the house. Here you will also find the second sitting room/snug ideal for teenagers wanting to hideaway and use the games console or offering a quiet spot for those wanting a moment or two of peace at the end of a busy day adventuring. From the dining-room, you can access the games-room which has a table football for you to spend many an evening competing with the family.

Passing the beautiful stained-glass window climb the grand staircase to the sumptuous landing which leads to a beautiful bathroom complete with free-standing bath and separate shower. You will also find three exquisite bedrooms. Bedroom three is next to the bathroom. The jewel in the crown is bedroom four; featuring unparalleled views in the south west of Cornwall, which can be enjoyed whilst taking breakfast in bed.

Bedroom five is down a couple of steps at the end of the hall again with pretty views you can enjoy whilst relaxing in the mornings.

The garden is a sun-trap where those summer days can be extended into spring and autumn and with plenty of space for the kids to run around or the dog to doze in after a long day exploring the coastal path.
