Reviews

Iconic Kynance Cove is the perfect backdrop for your next holiday at Gwel an Mor - meaning "view of the sea" in Cornish, the name could not be more perfect. This modern and stylish house is simply stunning. It's bright and airy with fabulous views from each room, located right on the South West Coast Path and in the heart of Lizard village, making Gwel an Mor a true destination property.

This detached house is in a small cul-de-sac with only three other properties – set on the cliffs overlooking Kynance Cove and Lizard Lighthouse ensuring no guests will be without a view. The house is perfect for a large party with lots of space for everyone. The kitchen/diner has been perfectly designed for socialising with a large island/breakfast-bar so you can sit and sip your wine whilst chatting to your nominated chef of the night. There is every appliance you might need, from a Nutribullet to a wine fridge, to create a fabulous feast to enjoy around the dining-table. In the warmer months you can open the double doors straight onto the patio for some al fresco dining and perhaps cook some fresh local produce on the huge Weber barbecue.

The sitting-room has views out to sea, hours can be lost gazing at the waves crashing against the rocks. This large room has squishy sofas to snuggle into while watching a good film after a day exploring this stunning coastline and there are double doors which also open to the patio. The snug provides the perfect space for teenagers with its own TV, there is also a desk should you have some work to do.

Climb the oak staircase and at the end of the landing is the most wonderful outlook which is rather distracting, you may forget what you went upstairs for. The four bedrooms are all on the first floor, two of the bedrooms overlook Kynance Cove which is a rather dramatic landscape, and the two other bedrooms look out towards Lizard Lighthouse. The main bedroom has a luxurious king-size bed and a large en suite shower-room – crisp white linens and the sea air will lull you into a deep slumber. There is also a lovely family bathroom with a large free-standing bath to soak in along with a shower and there is also a handy loo on the ground floor.
