Reviews

Parc an Nance Barn is a tucked away chocolate box delight. This dreamy, detached barn is located next to the local village school, and with views of the church and a pub just minutes away get ready to immerse yourself in true countryside living.

Walk up the gravelled path past the very pretty shrubs and trees and you'll find a warm welcome through the front door. This lovingly converted granite barn is beautifully restored with whitewashed walls and furnishings in soft greens, pinks and creams, and is perfect for families or couples simply wanting that extra bit of space. Those with canine companions will be pleased to know dogs (up to 2) go free here, so be sure to mention that when you book and ask for the pet fee to be relinquished.

The layout is reversed so the living area is upstairs with gorgeous warm wooden floors, two sofas ideally placed near the wood-burner (perfect for snuggling up on a winter night), and a good-sized television for cosy movie nights. You'll find the country style kitchen upstairs too - with a hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, there's all you need to put together a delicious meal (maybe some fresh fish, caught and bought straight off the boat). There is a cute cottage style table in the kitchen area for long leisurely family suppers or wander outside on warmer days and take your meals al fresco on your own private terrace.

The three pretty bedrooms are all located on the ground floor. The main bedroom with super comfy king-sized bed is beautifully decked with luscious linens, throws and cushions. French windows lead outside - perfect for a morning coffee listening to the birdsong. This room also boasts beautiful antique furniture. Bedrooms two and three both have single beds with an option to have an additional 2ft 6 trundle bed in bedroom three. The stylish bathroom has under-floor heating and a wonderful bath to soak in after a day out exploring.

Outside you have a useful little outhouse where you can store your bikes, surfboards and wetsuits. Here you will find a washing machine and handy outside WC too!

Mrs Allison

Fantastically well equipped and dog friendly upside-down house, in great location, well served by buses, and footpaths. Very clean and comfortable.

MR GREEN

The Barn was very comfortable and relaxing. It was very well equipped. The overall position was great for getting to Porthleven and The Lizard Penninsula. It was a very enjoyable five nights that we had.The little extra's were very nice especially the Lemon Drizzle Cake.We look forward to returning again to this little gem !

Mr Marrison

We had a very comfortable and relaxing holiday at Parc an Nance. The Lemon Drizzle cake and Wine was much appreciated. The cottage was very clean, comfortable and homely and extremely well equipped. It was very private with a very nice garden though unfortunately were unable to enjoy the exterior due to storm Kathleen. We still managed despite the weather to enjoy some spectacular scenery at the Lizard and Porthleven during the storm. We were somewhat restricted by the inclement weather but still managed visits to Trelissick, St. Ives and would thoroughly recommend the cottage and location.

Mr Howard

Good location, spacious grounds. Bedrooms need updating. Wi-Fi variable

Miss Grigg

Such a fantastically equipped property - Genuinely could not have asked for anything more! The welcome items were such a wonderful touch. The property is just gorgeous and so comfy - Just what is needed after a day exploring. I am positive my pooch also enjoyed the comfort of the property. Lovely pub within a short walk and another a very short drive if you don’t fancy going far. Location is brilliant for visiting the bottom of Cornwall. In addition had contact with the office and house keeper during and after the stay and they were both absolutely delightful to speak to. In all I want to move in and be looked after by classic cottages!!

Mr Bradburn

Lovely, well equipped cottage that worked very well for our family. Great location for exploring the area.

mr crossland

We had a relaxing and comfortable stay in this lovely cottage as a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children). We arrived to homemade biscuits and a bottle of wine which was very welcome. The cottage was very clean and spacious, we all slept well in the comfortable beds and the cottage had everything we needed. The local village pub was very friendly and only a 5 minute walk. Porthleven is a short drive away with Penzance, St Ives and the Lizard a little further afield. We would happily recommend a stay here and hope to return. Thank you.

Mrs Hawes

Parc an Nance Barn was great for us, a couple with a dog, very well equipped, upside down house with everything thought off. Very comfortable. Nice garden. Lovely welcome pack. Location great to explore areas without having to travel far. Dog walks locally as well. Would definitely recommend.

Mr Page

We had the best time staying here. For the first time a truly dog friendly cottage. Garden was very secure, and the stair gate made it possible to restrict where the dogs went. Our welcome was great. The food left for us (especially the flapjacks!) was very thoughtful and delicious. Great walking but also fantastic places to visit nearby.

Mr Lawton

Lovely cottage with easy access to Porthleven, Praa Sands and local pubs, with a nice garden.

Mrs Watts

A beautiful cottage with an excellent dog friendly garden. Ideally situated for exploring the Lizard Peninsula and beyond. The cottage had everything we needed, it was only a short walk to the village pub (which is dog friendly and also has a gluten free menu) and the village shop. Highly recommended.

Mrs Moralee

Absolutely wonderful stay at this gorgeous property. Our little one loved the enclosed garden and the house is beautifully finished - even better than the photos. Fully equipped to just arrive and enjoy. Eva this housekeeper was brilliant if we needed anything and loved the welcoming touches. A fabulous base to explore this area of Cornwall and equally to have cosy days at home too. Classic Cottages were great throughout as well and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again !

Zoe Zoe.gaze@gmail.com

We had the most wonderful holiday here, the house is so well located for access to every part of west Cornwall. The photos don’t do the house or gardens justice - the interiors are luxurious and comfortable and the fully enclosed garden is stunning while remaining very pet friendly. We loved it and can’t wait to rebook.

Herr Hillebrand

We felt very comfortable; the garden was ideal for our dog. A very beautiful property, which we can only recommend!

mrs Digger

Lovely cottage. Well kept. Had everything we wanted. Garden beautiful. Very secure for dogs. Location good for visiting many areas.

Ms Sansom

This wonderful cottage is perfectly situated to visit the many sights and villages of the far west of Cornwall. We absolutely loved our time at the cottage and wished we could have stayed longer. It is comfortable, clean, extremely well equipped, spacious - inside and out and is not over looked. The upside down living was a perfect arrangement for us. The bedroom was cool for sleeping and the main spaces cozy warm for lounging about on a brisk March day. We highly recommend Parc an Nance Barn.

Miss Cox

Really enjoyed our stay here, so much so we have already booked up for next year! A lovely cottage which located within easy reach of many areas of Cornwall, as far as Padstow and all the way over to Falmouth, which meant we were able to visit many new areas this year and discover lots of beautiful coves. The cottage was very welcoming with bottles of beer, wine and biscuits on arrival - which was much needed after our journey which was delayed due to traffic. Despite our late arrival we were able to find the house easily as the lights were on for us. The cottage is built and furnished to a high standard with an superb garden, which is also very secure for dogs too. You can benefit from the morning/afternoon sun on the higher patio which is also screened odd really well for privacy, and then you can enjoy the evening sun on the patio on the lower level. Was lovely to hear the birds including a tawny owl at night and to be able to watch the horses in the field behind. There is also a utility shed with washing machine, tumble dryer and outside loo if you’re caught short! It also has a private secure drive to fit more than one car so it’s ideal. We can’t wait come back next year!

Mrs Marsden

Beautiful cottage. Really handy location for all of West Cornwall. Really well equipped. We used it as a cycling base and really appreciated the large shed for bike storage.

Dr Shannon

We had an absolutely wonderful week at Parc an Nance. The blackout blinds in the children's bedrooms were brilliant, the cottage was extremely cosy, the shower excellent, and the kitchen exceptionally well equipped. Lovely quiet location, pretty garden, and a great base for exploring beautiful Cornwall.

Miss Mason

This property is wonderful. Beautifully secluded while being close enough to Porthleven and the coastal path to access the rest of Cornwall. The house is very comfortable and has everything you need including two sunny deck areas. Comes highly recommended.

Mrs Mason

A beautiful very comfortable well equipped cottage, location is ideal, gardens very well maintained, the photos do not do this cottage justice.

Mr Parish

Parc an Nance Barn is a delightfully relaxing place to be, it is well equipped, well located, has a great enclosed garden all wrapped up in a very attractive and comfortable holiday home.
