Stylish, contemporary yet sympathetic to its origins this perfectly appointed holiday cottage leaves you wanting for nothing in a magnificent holiday home, Higher Gwavas comes exclusively to Classic Cottages.
Pulling up outside the grandeur front elevation you will be welcomed by a large parking area and a handy entrance vestibule, perfect for kicking off your walking boots or beach shoes. Heading inside you are greeted by a spacious and characterful open plan sitting and dining area, complete with wood-burner.
From here you can access the second sitting-room which is an extension on to the original cottage and is stylish, contemporary and expansive, do mind the unique slate steps down into this space. You can also head into the beautifully appointed kitchen that has plenty of workspace for creating culinary holiday treats, with gorgeous features such as a Belfast sink and Rangemaster cooker.
Polished wooden open-tread stairs invite you up to three elegant bedrooms; choose from a dreamy double, the characterful stone chimney breast dominating in beautiful king-size bedroom two or the calming hues of the principal bedroom with its private en suite shower-room. Choices, choices. The stunningly impressive family bathroom also on this floor has a free-standing roll-top bath and separate drench head shower - bathroom bliss.
There are double doors here to access your garden, which is a real showstopper - but do take care on the steps to the immediate area. Outside you have a fantastic hot tub, big enough for everyone to enjoy, with play equipment for the children, close enough to keep an eye on them! The garden is an innovatively designed double level and has a fantastic sundeck on the upper level (again please do take great care on these steps), complete with a decadent dining set, perfect for al fresco meals or evening aperitifs.

Mrs Daniel
A very relaxing and enjoyable stay at High Gwavas. High quality and comfortable accomodation. Our family loved the hot tub and the cinema room was a particular bonus on the one very rainy day we had. A good central location made most destinations an easy drive away.
Mr Bratton
Fantastic quality home in a tucked away location, yet still close enough to local amenities and attractions to have a thoroughly enjoyable holiday
Mrs Middleton
We stayed at Higher Gwavas during August. The house is well equipped, comfortable and clean and well positioned for a peaceful holiday. Plenty for the children to do in the garden and the hot tub a huge success for the adults. Great beaches within a short drive, particularly loved Gwithian. Highly recommend a stay here, can’t wait to return.
Mrs Owen
Higher Gwavas was the perfect cottage for our family, big enough for everyone to have their own space, with comfortable beds and seating. The location is great for access to walking and some of Cornwall's attractions whilst being quiet. We enjoyed the walk across the stepping stones down to Helston and the highlight of our week was a visit to the Jubilee Pool in Penzance. We shall miss sitting outside watching the busy swallows nipping in and out of the adjacent barns. A very relaxing week!
