Chyvean
In the heart of a quintessential Cornish village and only 500 yards from the sea you will find the charming Chyvean. Nestled in Gunwalloe on the Lizard peninsula, this delightful semi-detached property is set in the perfect position to explore this unspoilt part of Cornwall. Pretty Church Cove can be found along the coast path or a very short drive, and you are only a 10 minute walk from a fabulous pub too. If you want to explore a little further hop onto the South West Coast Path to discover foodie heaven at Porthleven and the fabulous beach and cafe at Poldhu or venture even further if you are feeling adventurous!
The bright blue door at Chyvean opens into a welcoming hallway, and you will feel a wave of relaxation wash over you as soon as you enter. The open plan living space is lovely and light, making this a great place to relax together. The cosy wood-burner (with unlimited logs) is perfect for the cooler months or even after a swim in the sea to warm your cockles and the dining-table has plenty of room for you and friends to join.
The kitchen looks out over the enclosed patio which catches the morning and lunchtime sun, perfectly positioned for a long lazy lunch. The family bathroom is found at the back of the property on the ground floor, and has a bath and shower attachment. There is also a fabulous hot and cold outdoor shower to rinse those sandy toes and a muddy dog after a day out exploring this stunning part of Cornwall.
Upstairs you will find the three fabulous bedrooms all with hand-made mattresses from the south west of England for a true feeling of luxury. Each bedroom has a lovely outlook over fields and the countryside beyond, lie in bed and listen to the birdsong on your holiday, what a lovely way to wake for the day.
In addition to the patio, there is also a lawned area at the front of the property as well as parking for three cars on the gravel drive.

Excellent location with onsite parking, close to a Pub with a very good Menu. Plenty of walks and beaches close by, my dog loved it. Short drive to the Lizard and Lands End and in between, to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Chyvean has it all, inside and outside showers, electric car charging point etc., etc.,even a stairgate to stop the dog going upstairs.

This is an absolutely lovely cottage for a family holiday and exactly as described on the website. It is located five minutes drive away from Church Cove which is an ideal, family friendly beach. There is also a beautiful beach within walking distance of the cottage, perfect for evening strolls and very close to the Halzephron Inn. Slightly further afield, but still within easy driving distance, are Helston (for food shopping), Lizard Point, Poldhu beach and Porthleven which boasts a wide variety of places to eat. We thoroughly enjoyed our week and would very happily return in the future.

A lovely comfortable cottage which thanks to the directions given was easy to find. It is clear that much thought had been taken with both furniture and décor. Comfy beds and sofas added to a relaxing break. The cottage is ideally situated for some beautiful coastal footpath walks, including Gunwalloe to Porthleven and Gunwalloe village to Church Cove.

Nice little house, well looked after and recently refurbished. Close to the coast path with Church / Poldhu Cove and Porthleven within hiking distance for a pair of 7 year olds. Gunwalloe itself has a pretty decent play park and a library in their bus stop, which we all enjoyed, and this is a great base for trips out to Lizard, Helston, and further afield!

Chyvean is one of the best cottages we have stayed in. The house is in a lovely quiet location for the beach which was perfect for walking the dog. The house is very comfortable and well equipped. The beds are amazing…..where are they from?! Great that the courtyard garden is enclosed for the dog too. Easy to walk the local pub which served great food. Close enough to explore other great places in the area. We will definitely be back very soon!

We really enjoyed our holiday at Chyvean. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped, and very cosy with a great stove. The road is quiet and there's a children's playground, and the Halzephron Inn is a great pub a few minutes walk away. Even though it was half term we often had miles of the beach to ourselves even when Church Cove was busy. Great walks with the dog along the coastal patch to Poldhu Cove and Porthleven too. Can't wait for our next holiday!
