The Old Stable

Really would recommend this for two people and has plenty of space and everything that you need.

The stay at Stable Cottage was lovely. It is spacious and has everything you need. I loved the stable door and used that every day. Gunwalloe beach is beautiful and especially the walks. The pub nearby is great too and had excellent food. There were guides for walks available and a list of restaurants so you felt you didn't have to spend time searching around either. A great set up for a large group if you then rent out the other properties too.

The cottage comes highly recommended. There was a contact person on site every day who was on hand with travel tips. The cottage is very well equipped and cosy, tastefully decorated. It is very quiet, near the sea and also a pub

The property was most delightful in every way. It was well equipped, clean and comfortable and a perfect holiday retreat.

The old Stable is a quality studio let, but it's much better than any studio let I've known (I worked in letting for 30yearsbefore retiring recently) the fitments & furnishings are high level as well as the kitchen appliances. Site manager David is on hand and a pleasure to deal with. Cleanliness was excellent and bed & bedlinen top quality. Ideally located for seeing around that part of Cornwall with St. Ives, Falmouth, Marazion etc. all within a short distance. Lidl & Sainsbury's close by if you want to stop off and shop.

This was our second stay at The Old Stable and it did not disappoint. A very cozy and peaceful little place. Very good weather meant we were able to enjoy some time in the lovely little garden and also visit all our favourite places nearby. Perfect place for a relaxing break to recharge your batteries! ??

This little cottage for two is truly beautiful. We were disappointed in the rather overgrown garden, which didn't have enough space to lie out and sunbathe.

Honestly it’s the first time I’ve ever left a property completely happy, expectations were exceeded and you thought of absolutely everything and I couldn’t of wished for a better stay, the stay we needed. All I can say is if you look at this property just book it you will love it. They didn’t provide soap but that’s it everything was amazing Thanks Michael

Feeling worn out we booked a week at the Old Stable to rest and regenerate. The Old Stable feels spacious despite its bijoux proportions and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We felt as though we were in the middle of nowhere when at the cottage, but everything we needed was in easy reach. It delivered everything we needed and expected, and some. Thank you!

We had a lovely September break at The Old Stable. It was peaceful and really comfortable and the private garden courtyard was a lovely spot to sit in the sun. An excellent base for touring The Lizard and a short drive into Porthleven for loads of restaurant options.

The Classic Cottages website is easy to navigate and and we found staff very helpful. They have a wide variety of accomodation that can cater for all needs. My wife and I will certainly be using them again. So thank you, it has been a vey pleasant experience, Linda and Roger Church.

Lovely to be back in The Old Stable again for two weeks. We love the location and have found the property to be ideal. The cottage is quiet, clean, well equiped, comfortable and reasonably priced. We shall look forward to staying again. The owners should be congratulated on a job well done.

A perfect place stay for 2 people. Not too far off the beaten track, and within easy reach of all main attractions and outstanding views. Scenic beach and lovely old pub with excellent meals less than two miles away. Lovely farm location with the added bonus of friendly cows.

A very comfortable cottage. Ideal for one or two people. A lovely place from which to explore the local area. I have stayed at these cottages numerous times and have never been disappointed. I never want to leave!

We had a great time at The Old Stable! The cottage was even better when we arrived than it looks in the pictures, more modern and spacious. Had a great time and it was in a good location as near Porthleven and Helston which we could drive too!

We enjoyed our stay at the Old Stable. Everything was clean and we found the accommodation to be very comfortable. The location was a little isolated but we soon got used to this and had a very enjoyable week staying here.

The fact I was straight on Loe Bar in five minutes was a lovely surprise! Warm bathroom was great. Nothing really. Just what I needed. A quiet away from it all break from work and COVID 19 troubles. Thank you.

It was a most enjoyable break and the property suited us perfectly. We much enjoyed meeting the owners who were visiting on the weekend we arrived. They were really helpful and couldn't have been more hospitable. We will definitely be visiting Lower Tregiddle again in the future.

I loved this wonderful place and would go back in a heart beat...especially nice that there were no other people around. The secret garden belonging to the old stable is lovely but the seating a little uncomfortable after sitting for a while. Would recommend a couple of new seats such as those allocated to Pebble Cottage. Otherwise, the place is perfect. Lovely welcome basket.

The Old Stable is an amazing property. It was everything we’d hoped it to be. Very tastefully decorated and furnished. Love the location. There is nothing we’d can fault. We are already looking a booking it again for next year if not before !!! We even meet the owners who introduced themselves and were very interested in our comments. We stayed here last September and came back to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary A lovely peaceful place to stay very comfortable accommodation and the location was central to our needs for travelling around Would recommend it to those looking for a quiet tucked away holiday

Close to the local attractions & some beautiful coves by car, a clean comfortable & very well equipped accommodation, able to feel at home straight away! Clean bedding & towels half way through our stay made a lovely fresh start in staying there for two weeks. A welcome hamper also milk scones & cream in the fridge plus fresh flowers a thoughtful touch.

It is a very peaceful and beautiful location. Made all the better having a working farm right next door so that you feel you really are in the heart of the countryside with daily farm life going on around you. Very easy to get all around the county from there.

Very good holiday but be careful of the diffrent floor levels.

We have stayed in Tregiddle properties for 10 years - our eldest daughter was married from there in 2009 - and we have always been highly satisfied with the quality of accommodation and high standard of service. Our family love Tregiddle and would not consider staying anywhere else on our twice yearly trips.

We liked that the cottage was in close proximity to lovely beaches and walks - Dollar Cove and Church Cove in particular, but also easy access and parking in Helston to visit the Penrose estate where we enjoyed a beautiful (and traffic-free) cycle ride to Loe Bar. Overall a brilliant place for a peaceful holiday!

Secluded, well equipped, charming little studio cottage in ideal location for the far west of Cornwall.

To point out the coziness of the place.

lovely cottage every equipment you could possibly need. cosy homely atmosphere and very comfy bed. close to all main tourist attractions in the area. very happy customer would defiantly stay again.

It would have helped us to choose elsewhere if we'd known how the parking was arranged. Otherwise, it was cosy and nicely set out with only minor problems, which could be fixed. I really hate complaining, but other people's large cars parked immediately outside your front door and bedroom window is not relaxing!!!!

A perfect, cosy, clean, peaceful, comfortable, practical little place to stay with bags of charm. We will be back for sure. Great place for a couple to have a fun break. The restaurants in Porthleven were fantastic and Porthleven has the most incredible pasty shop ever... and I know my pasties!! I'd book again in a heartbeat.

We thought the cottage was everything that you had described it as, it had a really good "wow" factor, was well equipped. very clean and helped us to have a really good experience of staying in a Classic Cottage.

A small but fun studio type apartment. location is excellent to access coastal path by bicycle. The local pub has superb food and great sunsets. Ideal for one or 2 people on a budget.
