Gull Rock Cabin
True tranquility can be found in the rugged landscape of The Lizard. Gull Rock Cabin invites you to switch off from the modern world and enjoy absolute peace and stunning sea views westwards across Mount's Bay. Set within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, sit back and relax on the sofa or in the sunshine on the verandah and relish spectacular sunsets as you watch seabirds wheeling in to roost on Mullion Island bird sanctuary.
Set on cliffs in a nature reserve, hidden half a mile down a track, the nearest house (apart from the owner's home at the end of the drive) is half a mile away. The seclusion of Gull Rock offers the opportunity to spot many species of wildlife: foxes, badgers, stoats and rabbits are frequent visitors; occasionally deer may be seen grazing on the cliffs. Offshore, seals may be spotted in season, also an occasional basking shark. Soaring above the cliffs you might spot buzzards, kestrels, and in summer peregrine falcons, what a treat.

Really lovely cabin with beautiful outlook and a feeling of isolation and seclusion, but still moments from the coast path. Perfect for a few days of rest and rejuvenation. Would recommend.
Mrs French
A beautiful cabin in an amazing location. Although the weather wasn't great during our stay, we managed to explore some lovely beaches and walks nearby, and enjoyed relaxing in the cozy cabin whilst we waited for the rain to clear! Very well equipped for self-catering and we enjoyed the biscuits and hot drinks that were kindly provided for our arrival. Thank you to the owner and to classic for a wonderful stay!
Mrs Finucane
Gull Rock cabin is a beautiful location for a total relaxing and peaceful stay.

This was our first visit to Gull Rock Cabin . After staying at Teneriffe Farm nearby with our caravan in previous years we had seen this little cabin on our walks down the lane and vowed to go at some point as it looked idyllic, and it was just that, so peaceful and quiet with amazing views over mounts bay ,the cabin was beautiful and clean and very well equipped, yes the road is a little bumpy , but just take it slowly, it certainly is worth the bumpy ride . We would definitely hope to visit again . Thanks to the owner for the lovely flowers, tea ,biscuits milk and coffee .
Mrs Rowlands
This is an amazing opportunity to stay in the most wonderful location virtually on the SW coast path. The cabin is characterful, has been well renovated and equipped. It is ‘out of doors’ - but that’s its beauty. We didn’t find the access or parking a problem.
Miss Tanaszi
We had a truly special experience at The Gull Rock Cabin and we really hope to be back.
Mrs Weston
Stunning location and lovely cabin. Getting the car out of the parking space is tricky.
Mrs Hill
What a delightful place to stay. The views and sunsets were amazing. We enjoyed our walks and of course we had a very happy dog. We remembered the patriotic bunting to decorate the veranda ready for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations. We had a lovely few days on the Lizard and the weather was great. Thank you to the owner for the flowers, biscuits, milk and tea etc.
Miss Farnham
Such a peaceful and glorious location - views wonderful! Cabin very clean and well appointed. I've booked with Classic Cottages a number of times and their standards are always good.
Mr Merry
Gull Rock Cabin is in a very comfortable cabin in fantastic 'off the beaten track' location, with fabulous views over Mounts Bay and immediate access to the coastal footpath. A perfect base for exploring the beautiful and rugged Lizard peninsula or simply watching the local wildlife from the comfort of the living room. In addition to many sea birds we were lucky enough to frequently see a Peregrine Falcon as well as a stoat, both making the most of the abundant rabbit population, which also kept out dog well entertained!
Miss Clarke
A lovely cabin with stunning views and lots of peace and quiet. I really enjoyed my stay there, one hint, take some teabags, there were only 2 left out when I arrived.
Mrs Ottewell
Gull rock cabin just speaks for itself
Mrs Denham
We enjoyed the superb view and lovely remote location. Comfortable bed and good sized shower, and other facilities which are fine for two people. On the downside, the lighting is poor (too dim to read) and the wifi is slow and keeps dropping out.
Mrs Smith
We had a good week away walking and touring However we did experience a couple of issues with the Cabin (which I point out were dealt with quickly) but sadly we will NOT be returning to Gull Rock Cabin or recommending it to our friends
Mr Brown
Great little cabin located in a beautiful, quiet location on the coast path. We visited in May 2022 when the wild flowers along the coast were fantastic.
Mrs Espindula
We had a fabulous time and are looking forward to return in the near future. Gull Rock Cabin is an exquisite experience and in a beautiful location. It’s a comfortable cabin & it was very clean. Beautiful cabin, bed linen & towels, etc. Great service also. Thank you very much.
Professor Goodenough
Stunning location but hard to access and very tricky parking
Mrs Satchwell
If my dog could talk she would like to say a massive thank you. We had the most wonderful relaxing holiday in a cabin that was clean, welcoming and homely. It has everything that is needed for perfect self catering. Great outdoor space and garden furniture. The views are incredible lovely walks from the door with lots of gorgeous coves to explore. A big thank you to the owner and housekeeper for maintaining such a safe Covid environment. Just one small thing if you have a big car the parking space is ample but it’s very tight getting on and off due to the bend. Saying that it’s a most beautiful and incredible place to have a holiday.
Mrs Missenden
The property was EXACTLY as described with a view with which one could never tire. We wanted remoteness for safety in these difficult times and it delivered. The owners deserve a special mention as they responded very quickly to the three queries we had. We knew they were about but they were never intrusive. Perfect!
Mrs Cox
A lovely place to stay with the most amazing views, the perfect place to sit and watch the sunset. The cabin has everything you need for a home from home stay and the owner went above and beyond to sort out a problem we had with a broken water heater on a Saturday evening.
Mrs Case
Simply loved it there! And really found it hard to leave!
Mr Claridge
Excellent location for relaxation. Views and sunsets amazing a different picture painted every night through the patio doors . Comfortable accommodation to be enjoyed.
Mr Ward
Every effort is made from the cleaner, the owner, and Classic to ensure our stay at Gull Rock was first class We felt safe immediately on arrival. Gull Rock is a very special place. It is a privilege to stay there. Beautiful.
Mrs Hall
Just back from an amazing week at Gull Rock Cabin. It is such a peaceful and beautiful location, with a fantastic view and stunning sunsets. The cabin itself was well equipped, very comfortable and had everything we needed. Although we didn't see the owner due to Covid-19 she was very helpful answering all my questions on the local area with regards to shops, eating out, attractions etc. and made us feel very welcome. Our favourite beach in the area was Polurrian, nice and sandy, with great waves and well worth the walk down from Mullion village. We had fish and chips from Nettles in Helston and it was the tastiest I've ever had, so definitely worth travelling the extra miles to get it. We also had a curry from the village was very good too, so would recommend both of these takeaways. It was the perfect place for me to celebrate a special big birthday! Thank you so much for a fantastic holiday. Julie & Adam
Mrs Payne
We recently had a 1 week break at Gull Rock Cabin and loved every moment! The view was stunning and we enjoyed seeing all the wildlife in the garden. The owner was very helpful with any queries we had and resolved an issue we had with the water turning off very promptly and also supplied us with drinking water whilst the issue was fixed! We would definitely look to stay here again when visiting the South West in the future.
Mrs Arnold
Lovely accommodation, very clean and well looked after. Amazing views to wake up to with some lovely local walks. Highly recommend!!
Mr Cleary
A beautiful little cabin, set in a beautiful amazing part of the world. I was blown away with the beauty of this location. Set on the cliffs over looking the see, in a national trust park. The cabin blends perfectly into its surroundings, in a great location to watch the sunset, At times I forgot I has in the UK. If my dog could speak, she too would tell you how much she loved the cabin, it’s locations and the long walks along the cliffs. Can’t wait to return.
Mrs Kunicka
Highly recommend to those who doesn't like crowded places, just nature and you, cabin is placed right on the cliff ,we had amazing views from cabin ,beautifull sunsets, sea views and birds singing..nice walks around and close to see other places in Cornwall. Private place ,romantic and very relaxing.. Cabin is beautifully made, well equipped and has everything we needed.. Thank you to owner ,we definitely will be back !
Mrs Garland
We had a fabulous holiday. The location of the cabin, just 50 metres from the Southwest Coast Path, and with an uninterrupted view out over the sea, is superb. We loved being able to walk from the cabin either north along the coast to the sandy beaches of Polurrian and Poldhu or south to the dramatic cliff scenery and open heathland leading to Kynance Cove, famous for its white sands, turquoise water and serpentine rocks. We visited in May and at this time of year the cliffs are swathed in wildflowers - bluebells, sea thrift, bladder campion, valerian and squill. We had wonderful weather too, blue skies and a cool breeze off the sea, perfect for walking. The cabin itself is a delight. It's approached along an unmade road for about a third of a mile - we had begun to think we might have made a wrong turning when we rounded a corner and there was a fantastic view of the sea and the cabin. The owners have made excellent use of the space to create a light, airy and very comfortable place to stay and on arrival we were welcomed with milk in the fridge, Cornish biscuits and fresh cut flowers. As the cabin faces westwards you can open the French windows and enjoy an uninterrupted view of the sunset over the sea. We've enjoyed many holidays in Cornwall but this was one of the best.
Mr Ward
If you are looking to escape from the world for a time Gull Rock is perfect, the property, the seclusion and the views are just stunning. We would say our best ever weekend.
Miss Febry
Me and my boyfriend have been on 3 other holidays through Classic Cottages over the past few years and although they have all been absolutely lovely, this place just tops them all! Unfortunately we could only stay for a long weekend - we would of loved to of been able to stay for longer! Everything about this property is perfect - it's spacious, clean, cosy, peaceful and the views are stunning!! There are a few walks right on your doorstep to explore which are amazing - you can see for miles on top of the cliffs! The owners have truly thought through all of the details with this property - We will definitely be back that's for sure!!
Miss Stevens
We had a wonderful stay at Gull Rock Cabin! The cabin was located perfectly for my boyfriend and I who love peace and quiet. The cabin itself is wonderful, very comfortable, with amazing views.
Mrs Cushway
An Excellent place to stop and recharge your batteries. Close enough to places to visit and far enough away from things to give you the peace, space and beauty not often found these days.
Ms Fathers
This cabin is amazing the views are stunning a really peaceful location in which to recharge.
Mr Schulz
Such a relaxing location which is truly peaceful. The coastal path is on your doorstep (alongside some fantastic views out to sea) where you can see stunning coastal views. We walked for ages and even went swimming. The hosts were extremely welcoming and the cabin is super comfortable. It is quite away from everything so having a car or bikes can help to go to the pubs and restaurants easily. We enjoyed the walk however. It was a really relaxing break.
Mrs Eggleton
Wonderful location and so peaceful.
Ms Blunden
Stunning location.
