The Bull Pen

We have visited the Bull Pen many times and it is always beautifully presented and immaculate. It really does feel like coming home and we hope to return again to make some more happy family memories.

We would recommend the Bull Pen for anyone looking for a stay in Cornwall. Property was clean and tidy and within good travelling distance of other places.

Our second stay at this cottage. It’s very well equipped, clean and comfortable. A short drive away are the scenic coves of Gunwalloe and it was lovely to visit in the evening. A choice of supermarkets and other shops are close by too.

We loved our vacations in The Bull Pen. Such a lovely place with very friendly owners. Near to the South West Coast Path and other attractions. We fondly remember this accomodation.

This was our third stay in Bullpen or its sister, Cowshed, which really says it all. A lovely cottage in a very peaceful setting. The location is ideal, away from busy roads, but close enough to supermarket and pubs in Helston. The Lizard peninsula is a delight, such a variety of coastline and countryside.

The Bull Pen was a very clean and well equipped cottage. It is bigger than what the pictures make it look. The 2 bathrooms were ideal for our family and we enjoyed using the Woodburner after being out in the hail. The location was perfect with every where we wanted to visit within 50 minutes. It was also handy having sainsburys 5 minutes away as well. We loved driving down to church cove which is a 5 minute drive, especially nice later in the day when it's quite. We would holiday here again if we are in this part of Cornwall. Thank you for the chocolates and flowers and the dog bowls and bed.

Our Christmas stay at The Bull Pen was really enjoyable. The property was warm and inviting. Although it was only the two of us the open plan aspect made it nice that we were in the same room when cooking, or watching tv or relaxing. It was equipped really well especially having to cook a Christmas dinner. It lacked nothing. Thank you Jo for providing us with a perfect bolt hole. Hope to come again and would highly recommend. A fabulous cottage in a quiet location. Very well equipped, clean and comfortable. Easy drive to many beaches and coastal walks. Worked well with a dog and 8 month old baby. Owners were lovely and very helpful. We had an amazing week.

We had a great holiday at the bullpen which was above expectations. There is so much to do in and around the Lizard and the beaches out of this world it was hard to get the kids and especially the dog out of the sea even in October. We would definitely recommend and would love to come back.

This location was perfect for our break away, owners were very friendly and welcoming. Very high spec clean & modern feel. Will definitely be visiting again.

Our second stay at the Bull Pen and again it didn't disapoint. The barn itself is spotlessly clean and very well done regarding the renovation. Lovely location, quiet and peaceful yet not to far from where you need to be. Garden is a great sun trap and a good size for the dog. a Love meeting the cows, they really are the best! Special thanks again this year to the owners who are just so wonderful, friendly and accommodating. We will be back!

Beautiful cottage in an excellent location for exploring South Cornwall (favourite beaches nearby were Poldhu and Kynance Cove). The cottage was exceptionally clean and well equipped. Have recommended to friends and family.

The Bull Pen is a very well equipped and comfortable cottage. It is in a convenient location for visiting Gunwalloe, Porthleven, Helston (for shopping) and a number of Cornish beauty spots. The location is very quiet and the friendly owners are on site at the farm, should the need arise to contact them. The two comfortable double bedrooms are spacious and the bathrooms well equipped with plenty of hot water. The open plan kitchen is also well equipped while the dining/lounge area is very comfortable. Overall an excellent cottage for an enjoyable holiday.

The Bull Pen is the best holiday home we have stayed in! Perfect west coast location, beautiful surroundings and delightful cottage. The house is well equipped for a family, the kitchen has everything needed and more. The washing machine is big enough for a family and the washing line and tumble dryer were unexpected bonuses. The beds are very, very comfortable and the showers were spot on, great water pressure! The farm tour was a great addition too and easy to arrange. We will definitely be back!

A wonderful week enjoyed at the Bull Pen. Very spacious and comfortable and in one of our preferred locations. Situated on a working farm we were entertained by the cows.

The most beautiful barn. Finished to such a high standard and spotlessly clean. A real gem in a great location. Owners were lovely and gave us a tour of the farm, which I loved. The cows and calfes were just adorable. We will definitely return. A great stay!

Bull Pen is a lovely comfortable cottage in a tranquil location. We were impressed by the quality of furnishings, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything needed for self catering. The design and fittings in the property make if feel like a real home, rather than just a holiday let. Although the farm is adjacent to the cottage, there was little noise intrusion inside the property. One new feature for us was the underfloor heating, it seemed to work satisfactorily, and there is a wood burner available.

This is a beautiful barn conversion in an amazing part of Cornwall. It was so well equipped, beautifully restored and well located for visiting many lovely coves , beaches and pretty towns.

The Bull Pen is an extremely well-appointed holiday home. First class cleanliness and comfort. Because of it's position on a dairy farm it is very peaceful, with no traffic noise, just gentle cow noises now and again. The area is quiet with a first rate pub, the Halzephron Inn, about one and a half miles away. A little further are two good beaches and a beautiful little church. We will return.

The cottage was well thought out and there was plenty of space in all the rooms and plenty of storage space.
