Rose on the Cliff
A spectacular retreat perched on the picturesque banks of Gillan Creek. Tucked away down a private unmade lane, this unique spot is really very special and only shared with a handful of properties making this the perfect secluded spot to unwind and enjoy stunning sea views with your friends and family (and four-legged friends). Each room in this lovely property has the most amazing outlook over the water which is such a treat.
Enter this special property via a short path and through the charming blue wooden doors through to the fabulous open plan living space. Tall ceilings and large windows create a light and airy atmosphere while exposed beams and a cosy wood-burner ensure that the space feels nice and snug in the evenings.
A well-equipped kitchen can be found in the open plan living space and there are even amazing views from the window by the sink. There's everything you'll need to prepare hearty lunches and warming suppers on your holiday and perhaps cook some freshly caught fish. When it comes time to eat, gather around the wonderful wooden dining-table and enjoy spectacular panoramic views across the creek and out to sea as you tuck into dinner with your loved ones. After you've put the children to bed, stroll out to the fantastic balcony area and enjoy a spot of stargazing with a glass of something special.
Venture down the hallway and you find two of the four marvellous bedrooms dotted throughout Rose on the Cliff. The layout of this retreat is ideal for two families and their little ones with both of the ground floor's double bedrooms being connected to a smaller room on the first floor, ideal for children. Bedroom one houses a fabulous bay window looking out to sea, providing the perfect spot to relax with a warming cup of coffee in the morning. A snug double bed sits tucked into the corner of the room offering a lovely place to rest after a big day of adventures.
Wander up the stairs next to bedroom one and you'll find bedroom three, which comes complete with two delightful single beds that sit snugly under a long sloping ceiling to create a wonderfully cosy atmosphere. These two bedrooms are accompanied by a fantastic family bathroom on the ground floor.
On the other side of the house, back on the ground floor, you'll find bedroom two. This bedroom also has wonderful views which can be enjoyed from the comfort of the inviting double bed. A handy shower-room can be found next door, providing the ideal place to refresh yourself after a great night's sleep.
A small staircase leads up from this room to bedroom four, where you will find three charming baby blue single beds that provide the ideal place for your little ones to rest their weary heads after a day of exploring.
On the lower ground floor via the spiral staircase (please take care on the stairs) from the dining area, is the inner hall with dartboard; fun for everyone of all ages. There is also a handy shower-room and WC on this floor too which is perfect for washing those salty locks after a day on the water.
Outside, Rose on the Cliff offers plenty of gorgeous spaces to enjoy the beautiful surrounding views. The fabulous patio is accessed via the steps from the balcony. This outside space has a fabulous seating area that is ideal for al fresco dining with 180 degree views of the creek. The balcony which leads off the dining-area is just the place for that morning cup of coffee watching the day break. There is also a lawned area to the side of the house, maybe have yourself a tucked away picnic in this sheltered spot. Sample some of the delicious local produce while enjoying the views over Gillan Creek and out to sea. If you're feeling adventurous, venture down the old stone steps to the water's edge. Please do be aware though that there is no railing once you are by the water.
