Very comfortable and well equipped property with stunning views. Small shingle cove a two minute walk away and close to the coastal path. Garden not particularly dog friendly but can walk them straight from house. It is a challenging road/track to the property but well worth it. Nearest town is Helston which isnt far but is a half hour drive due to the roads.

Another glorious stay at Carne Haven - a gem of a cottage nestled in the valley above Gillan Cove. We adore this part of Cornwall; the Cove is so safe for the children, who spent most of the time in the water, and the Helford Passage is a magical place to explore in small boats. We will be back!

We had a wonderful time at Carne Haven. The cottage is well very equipped and is very comfortable. We loved the cove, the walks along the South West Coast Path and enjoyed many visits in the surrounding area. We would recommend Carne Haven as a holiday location and look forward to a return in future.

Amazing cottage in a fantastic location, a two minute stroll and you’re down in the cove. Carne Haven really is the perfect place to relax with friends or family away from the hustle and bustle! We would recommend a visit for definite and would definitely be keen to visit again.

Our stay at Carne Haven was simply sublime. A beautiful, cosy and superbly equipped property, we couldn’t have been more comfortable. But it’s greatest quality is its location, with breath-taking views over the river estuary and out to sea from several of the rooms and the huge deck - wonderful for evening dining al fresco. Gillan cove is perfect for boating with the children - safe and sheltered, with easy access to St Anthony for boat hire, and a short hop round the headland for boat trips down the Helford River with its many beaches, pubs and National Trust gardens. We have fallen in love with the place - so much so that we re-booked for next year before we left! Thank you Carne Haven; see you next summer!

Almost perfect! Fabulous secluded cove. Wonderful views. Light airy clean house. Would be 10/10 except for occasional power tool noise from small boatyard. In a noisier place you probably wouldn’t notice it, but as so perfectly peaceful otherwise it jarred! But would go back.

Stunning property , well equipped with everything you could need with spectacular views. Within walking distance of small beach. Walkers paradise with access to south west costal path on your doorstep.

Wonderfully peaceful location and great feel to the house. Pretty much all you could need. Comfortable and serene. We absolutely loved it.

We found that we had a very tranquil stay. We really couldnt fault anything. Everything that you needed had been thought of even down to facemasks and poo bags if you had dogs. Beautiful house. Lovely neighbours. I did read there were remarks about the road to the house. It is absolutely fine if you drive slowly.

Carne Haven is a lovely property situated over a wonderful secluded cove. If you enjoy peace and relaxation on holiday this is an ideal property and location.

The cottage is in a wonderful position and has a fantastic large sunny decking area with views over the sea and woodland we would definitely stay again.

We always book our holiday with Classic Cottages and this cottage was in a magical location with beautiful walks! One point to note is at the present time the third bathroom is not up to the same standard as the rest of this amazing property.

Although Carne Haven is in a beautiful and peaceful setting, it needs to be pointed out that the access to it is along a very long unmade and rather bumpy farm track!

Beautifully and stylishly decorated house overlooking a stunning peaceful cove. Well equipped kitchen with enough space for group cooking. Beds were super comfortable as was the sofa and the whole place felt like a treat! .Lovely terraced garden overlooking the bay. It is very remote and the drive is down beautiful single track roads but everyone stops so you can pass each other. It’s worth it when you get there

Carne Haven is just what it says on the tin!!! Truly a fantastic location, beach just on the doorstep, dog walks a plenty and the view from the terrace whilst having a pre dinner drink to die for Can’t be faulted !! But don’t book if you like nightlife other than beautiful skies and twinkling lights from the boats bobbing in the bay

Lovely view. Walks on the beach and the small headland. Not enough pots and pans for a complete self-catering experience. We ate in every night because the access lane was too difficult to use.

Superb comfortable property in a fantastic location, we arrived in the dark the evening before and opened the curtains in the morning to look out across the cove, WOW! We thoroughly enjoyed it and had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Well worth the long drive we had!

A lovely property in a beautiful, unspoilt location. We would definitely recommend and return.

We had a wonderful week in Carne Haven, which offers a fantastic location. We swam in the cove in the evenings, kayaked, paddle boarded and took a day on the sea fishing, all on boats from Sail Away St Anthony. We even caught our mackerel for the BBQ ! Gillan cove is an excellent location that we will return to, just don't tell everyone though, as it was nice to have this quiet location to enjoy ! : )
