Sea Poppy
Welcome to Sea Poppy, a delightful holiday home with panoramic sea views from almost every room. This spacious home-from-home comfortably sleeps six and benefits from the use of a year-round indoor pool, sauna and games-room, along with a large communal garden. Sea Poppy is superbly situated on Devon's coast in an area protected as being of outstanding natural beauty; and a seven minute walk from the gorgeous sandy beach of Thurlestone Sands.
Sea Poppy is wonderful for families with children (or pets) in all seasons. It also offers ideal accommodation for those with limited mobility as one of the three bedrooms is on the ground floor, with an en suite wet-room and the added benefit of a stairlift to the upper floor, if needed.
On arrival at the cottage, there is a private driveway parking for two cars. After taking the small step up into the home, the large ground floor bedroom with magnificent sea views lies immediately ahead - to the right is the spacious en suite equipped to accommodate disabled guests. Bedroom one features patio doors leading straight out onto the private terrace area where you can dine al fresco in front of the sea, while children and pets play in the large communal garden fronting the sea. The stairs or stairlift take you upstairs to the rest of the living areas and remaining bedrooms. The sitting-room has floor to ceiling windows looking onto the sea. Relax on the sofas in the evenings in front of spectacular sunsets over the sea or watch the Smart TV. The large, well-appointed kitchen offers a great space to whip up any feast and dine together whilst discussing the day's adventures and planning tomorrows. Again, the kitchen and dining area is also treated to superb sea views, with the large dining-table also enjoying views onto horses, sheep and cows grazing on the hills. The queen-size (four foot) bedroom looks onto the sea while the twin room looks onto the hills. Both the top floor bedrooms have ample storage space and each has its own spacious en suite bathroom. A few moments' walk from the front door is a separate building housing the swimming pool, sauna, changing area and games area - ideal for children and for relaxation.

Mrs Partridge
This was our second stay at Sea Poppy. It's an excellent location for coastal walks and has an outstanding view across the bay towards Thurlestone. One of our group has limited movement so the downstairs bedroom & shower room and the stairlift upstairs to the main living area are just perfect. The cottage is well equipped with everything you generally need and the separate swimming pool ; sauna and games room are an added bonus. We hope to be returning again next year.
Mrs Dunn
The most incredible sea views and easy walking distance to a gorgeous beach, Sea Poppy is a comfortable holiday cottage in the perfect Devon location. A pleasant 30 minute walk takes you to the picture postcard village of Hope Cove and it’s only a 20 minute drive to Kingsbridge and Salcombe. A lovely area to explore and Sea Poppy makes a great base.
Ms Perrins
Great sea views and walking! House was good for six of us, including two teenage grandchildren. Bring 20p coins for pool table. Good firm beds and at least one firm sofa was appreciated. Beach hut cafe nearby is great but we thought VERY expensive. We had a great time at Sea Poppy!
Dr Allenby
The location of this property is amazing and the views are wonderful. It is a wonderful place for a multi generational family holiday. The downstairs wet room and bedroom are excellent for somebody with disabilities. You are on the coastal path and can walk directly from the door to some wonderful beaches and great places to eat.
Mr Gatcum
Accommodation was excellent, wonderful views across the water to Burgh Island. Would certainly recommend and would be happy to return.
Mrs Newell
A lovely, well quipped and homely property with fantastic views in a quiet location. The property has a stairlift which enabled the whole family to be together. A rare find and much appreciated. The wet room could do with the addition of a couple of grab rails. Would certainly return.
Mr ogden
this property has views to die for-we had to choose the Hurricane season for our week and it was only then that you realise just how isolated you are BUT we got Morrisons to deliver and i know the COOP also deliver if needed.the lanes are only wide enough (just) for one car so be warned and some of them are pot hole central-better if you have an suv rather than a low car/sports car.
Mrs Murch
Fabulous accommodation and views with very comfortable beds and plenty of space. furnishings tired looking which is to be expected with a property allowing dogs and clean enough not to affect your stay but could probably do with a deep clean
Ms Shepherd
Fantastic Location! Amazing views from the lounge - would be hard to find another cottage with such a fantastic outlook, whatever the weather. View when you are preparing food or washing up in the kitchen was also great! as was view from downstairs bedroom. Garden is perfect for dogs (and children). Short walk to a lovely beach. Perfect if you are looking for peace and quiet in a well equipped holiday cottage.
Mrs Oakley
Seapoppy is in a wonderful position overlooking the sea & beach. The communal garden is ideal for dogs & children to play on. The very narrow lane leading to the house is a bit tricky Our biggest disappointment was the cleanliness of the cottage..not good. Such a shame it did spoil our holiday.
