Mrs Imlah

Lovely, bright, comfortable cottage with secure garden. Furnished to a high standard. Fantastic location with shop, great pub and golf club nearby. Will be back next year!

Mrs Layen

Lovely area to explore with many good beaches. Kingsbridge is very pretty and well worth a visit. Thurlestone Hotel does a very good evening meal and also morning coffee on their first floor patio. I suggest a very careful consideration of this property if you are planning for someone to sleep on the top bunk as it is very near the sloping ceiling.

Mrs Gimbel

Well what a great week we had at Thurlestone! The house accommodated four adults and a dog very comfortably. It was cosy but also big enough for us. We were very lucky with beautiful weather but still managed to enjoy the fire on a few evenings. Plenty of bathrooms for us, but as others have said, only one proper shower in the three bathrooms. Although small, the kitchen was well equipped and had a dishwasher too. Thurlestone is a lovely place. We enjoyed walking to the local beach, as well as longer walks to Bantham - with great views of Burgh Island, and to Hope Cove the other way. Had a few meals at the local pub The Village which was a stone’s throw away. The area is very peaceful - although we were sometimes woken up by the church bells or the jackdaws and seagulls! We would like to give 4.5 stars if we could, Thankyou. We will be back!

Mr Jeffrey

Had a lovely stay here with family. It's few minutes from the beach where there's a great restaurant nearby, which serves local seafood. The accomodation is great and very easy to check in and find. Nice quiet village with a pub within 2 mins walk, if that. All round ideal place for a beech break in Devon.

Mrs Trewick

Lovely property in great location. Shop, Church, beaches, walks and pub very close. Very clean and comfortable, lots of equipment in the kitchen. Comfy sofas and beds. Nice garden and patio to enjoy the sun and bbq. Great for a family gathering.

Mrs Bone

Had a lovely short stay in 5 Mill barn great space/place and fabulous position. The Pub was 5 min walk food and service there was great. The team looking after the cottage was amazing and helpful.

Mrs Wiltshire

Great location for beaches, Salcombe and excellent pub and local shop.

Miss Cutt

Great location and lovely light main room with good garden. I would just say to be wary that 2 bedrooms are under the kitchen / sitting room and you can hear every noise which isn’t ideal plus only one decent shower. Luckily there were only a couple of us but if it was full and 8 people staying, the bathrooms were not up to scratch with only one proper shower and the rest all tap shower fittings.

Mr House

A lovely property. Smaller than the photos appear. Being a town house be prepared for the stairs. Excellent location.

Mrs Johnson

5adults and 1 dachshund dog had and very good holiday..

Mrs Morse

Stylish comfortable cottage in a secure location within the smart village of Thurlestone. Furnished thoughtfully with Ikea and White Company and finished with beautiful artwork. Really well equipped. I would definitely recommend staying here whilst exploring the interesting and beautiful coastline nearby.

Mrs Perry

The location of the cottage is great, a little shop come post office a short distance away and a lovely welcoming pub. The beach is a short walk away. The cottage itself was a bit of a disappointment. Although the bedrooms are all a decent size the living area is not big enough for the number of people the cottage can accommodate. We were a party of 6 with a baby. The lounge has two settees that accommodate two people on each, meaning we had to take turns with two of our party sitting on hard dining chairs. There were three bathrooms but only one with an overhead shower the rest had flexible hoses. Another thing to be aware of is that it is very noisy in the bedrooms when people are in the lounge area, this would be a problem with children going to bed before adults. Having said all that, the cottage was very clean, well equipped and had a lovely decorated Christmas tree. The log fire was great ( logs can be purchased at the little shop), and although we stayed in December I could imagine it would be lovely in the summer, as the garden is ideal for BBQ’s etc.

Mr Brooksbank

Lovely home to spend a week in a friendly area and outstanding location for beach access.

Mr Davies

5 Mill Barn offers light and airy accommodation in an excellent location perfect for exploring the South Devon coast.

Mrs Johnson

Well equipped and extremely comfortable excellent position .

Mrs Thomas

Great house in a wonderful location.

Mrs Lovejoy

Excellent location for walkable safe clean beaches. Handy shop and lovely walks around the golf course.
