The setting of this property is just idyllic, the view is just breathtaking. It is furnished impeccably with exceptionally quality and comfortable products. The decked area is perfect for a sunny alfresco breakfast or late morning coffee. We were lucky enough to bag ourselves a 2nd short break at this unique location, having stayed last year too. I would highly recommend this to anyone seeking peace and tranquility. It's just perfect in every way!
Mrs Burns
1st class holiday accommodation and would highly recommend
Mrs FAYERS
Excellent property with fine attention to detail Everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Fantastic views from the living room and terrace. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend without hesitation
Miss Walsh
Beautiful place. Walking wise access to nearest village etc is via the coastal path, which is up and down , muddy and steep in places. The road way has no pavements. Did not matter at all to us but could do others ( hence this comment) loved the place, was beautiful and comfortable, very relaxing
Ms Ford
Relax with the wonderful view and the cinema experience in the evenings
Mrs Tanner
A truly amazing & scenic retreat away from the madding crowds but close enough to civilisation to get supplies. Everything you needed for your stay in Sheldon from the super friendly butcher's & bakers to the Local pub ( The Ness) . We had great fun with the dogs investigating the local area from smugglers coves to sprawling cliffside walks . Such a beautiful spot & fabulous going back to the cabin for the views & in the evening star gazing..... ?It was quite magical.
Mrs Brunt
A wonderful place to stay…perfect for a break away from it all!
Mrs Goulding
We had a very relaxing stay at this property. You couldn’t beat the views of the sea and wood. Beautifully decorated and very good amenities. A few nice walks from the property. Shaldon was a beautiful place to explore and if you wanted somewhere busier then Teignmouth is a short drive. Decking area was large with availability of a chiminea. A few bird feeders were around the patio area and we enjoyed watching the different birds feed. Kestrels also circled the area looking for food.
Mr Hemsley
Unbeatable views yet convenient location. Lovely walks on the coast path 100 yds away.
Mrs Young
Nice view
Ms Garrard
Probably one of the most beautiful views ever!
Mr Yelland
A unique property with stunning views. Beautifully decorated with some fascinating gadgets. An unbeatable location.
Mrs Eugeni-Munn
Beautifully presented cabin, amazing outdoor space and views, almost everything you could need, very well equipped accommodation. Please note, walking in any direction from the cabin, is along the coastal paths, no pavement on main road from the cabin, or bus connection near by. So not suitable after dark.
Mrs Thomas
This is an absolutely stunning property, the setting and the view are fantastic. The property provides everything for a relaxing stay from beautiful furnishings, including a very comfortable sofa and bed, to the super shower provided in the roomy bathroom. The property was toasty and warm, to the point we needed to open up windows and doors at times to cool it down, it's obviously very well insulated. The sun loungers are very comfortable too, so much so we both fell asleep on them one afternoon in the sun! The passenger ferry from Shaldon to Teignmouth runs very regularly and they welcome dogs too! We visited The Thatched Tavern in Maidencombe, which has a lovely garden to sit out in if the weather allows. We enjoyed a delightful 3 night stay in this gorgeous cabin and wouldn't hesitate to rebook it at a later date. Thank you to the owners for providing such a high quality holiday retreat.
Mr SMYTH
Spectacular views and great accommodation.
Mr Bailey
I would recommend The Nest to everyone, it has everything you need for a relaxing, hassle free stay. Maybe I should be less effusive so it would be easier for me to rebook in future ha ha! ??
Ms Tarry
This is a lovely cottage/ chalet, simply furnished to highest standards. Amazing views and walks. Our dogs loved it there. The owners were nearby and very friendly. If you need entertainment there is a screen to watch Netflix tec, however the best entertainment is looking at the sun go down over the gorgeous Labrador Bay. Highly recommended for nature lovers and good walkers.
Miss Richards
The Nest is a very special place to stay, not only due to to the fabulous view but you really feel you are up in the trees! From here you can get onto the coast path at the top of the drive and I walked to the beach and Thatched Tavern at Maidencombe for a lovely lunch and a cold beer, it's a couple of hours walk, but choose your route wisely, the red route is not for the faint hearted! I recommend a visit to pretty Shaldon, Teignmouth has some interesting shops and there is a super fishmongers in St Marys near Torquay. The bed is comfy, the shower amazing and it really ticked all of my boxes for a retreat, I travelled on my own and as access is through private gates, felt safe and secure up amongst the trees in 'my nest', I will be returning one day.
Mrs Booth
A beautiful hide away, so relaxing, the views where breathtaking and we relaxed even more every time we looked out, very very clean, spotless, beautifully decorated, the decking outside looked over the sea and to be honest we stayed in quite a lot, sunbathing there, we didn't want to leave, haha, we would definitely book again
