Fabulous cottage and fabulous location.

Bay Cottage is a beautiful house with wonderful views across the bay in gorgeous Shaldon. I always feel very welcome here and go home feeling rested and relaxed. The cottage is very well equipped and so very comfortable and spotlessly clean. I can’t recommend it enough and have already booked again for next year!

We really enjoyed our stay at Bay Cottage. The owners made the place feel very homely and were friendly and hospitable throughout our break. I would definitely recommend the place to those looking for a relaxing break in South Devon.

We could have spent the entire week just sitting in the bay window of the upstairs lounge watching the boats, birds, dog walkers and surprisingly a seal occasionally swimming by! We will be back next year

A well situated, well equipped cottage. So pleased it was dog friendly. The owners were friendly, accommodating, whilst allowing our privacy. We have passed the details onto our neighbours and would love to return. A couple of eating recommendations, Teignmouth - via the ferry- The Crab Shack - excellent! Babbacombe - The Cary Arms Hotel - the best views and excellent food! (10 minutes away)

Amazing location, bay cottage has the most stunning views. Owners next door were very welcoming and helpful. The cottage had a huge range of amenities. The kids bunks were a treat! A wonderful place to stay.

Warm welcome on arrival from owner. Flowers in each room was a lovely touch. Very homely cottage. Bonus having a parking space. Nice position at end of village just opposite steps down to beach / ferry to Shaldon. There when beach was opened to dogs so 6.45am walks enjoyed. Botanical gardens just a short walk from cottage were a lovely find.

Bay Cottage is one of the best properties we have stayed in. It is in a wonderful location overlooking the harbour/seaside resort of Teignmouth and yet is in a very peaceful setting. There are plenty of local amenities - shops and pubs - within easy walk. The owners live at the back of the property and are delightful people.

Our hosts were so welcoming. We were extremely comfortable throughout our stay. We felt very well looked after. A beautiful property in an amazing location with wonderful views.

Wonderful to find late availability at Bay Cottage. It fitted our requirements perfectly and the house was incredibly comfortable and convenient. Extremely well equipped and furnished. Lovely flowers both inside and out, quite spectacular and a lovely thoughtful touch.

A wonderful week at Bay Cottage, we loved every minute. A stones throw from the beach, pub and places to eat. Dog friendly. The kitchen was fantastic equipped with everything you could wish for and more. Very helpful and friendly owners. We were lucky to arrive the day of the bonfire and firework display, which was fabulous. Parking right outside the property was another huge plus. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful cottage great location

Bay Cottage is just perfect in every way. Having stayed there several times I would never want to stay any where else. Beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean with lovely fresh flowers. The bed is very comfortable and the kitchen very well equipped. Bay Cottage has wonderful views and a parking space is a true bonus in Shaldon.

Wonderful cottage providing a ringside seat to the perfect view of the Teignmouth estuary. Friendly owners who clearly love their home that reflects in the high spec, high standards they provide.

BAY COTTAGE IS BEAUTIFUL THE LOCATION US SPOT ON AND THE OWNERS COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE HELPFUL. WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND.

Beautiful views of the estuary and on out to sea. The cottage was lovely and clean. When calling Classic Cottages they were very friendly and helpful. Very efficient and no long wait for the call to be answered.

A lovely cottage as long as you have use of more than just the ground floor. Owners friendly and helpful if you had any problems (Using AGA!) Shaldon a lovely peaceful village with plenty of amenities.

I would never consider staying anywhere else. The owners are welcoming and friendly and added beautiful fresh flowers throughout my stay. Bay Cottage is highly recommended!

Fabulous location. Owners in adjacent property were friendly and helpful. Bay cottage was comfortable with amazing views and the foot ferry to Teignmouth was just across the lane on the beach, in front of us. The owners have 2 electric cars so we took our electric car, and they were happy for us to use the EV charge point at the front of the house, by arrangement with them. There is a Morrison’s about 1 mile away that has a fast charger (Genie point), so we tended to use that on return from a day trip. Would definitely seek out this property again for a return visit.

Lovely cottage looking out to sea with all amenities close by. Very restful. Owners go over and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect.

Gorgeous location. Owners very welcoming and made arrival easy. Wouldn’t recommend just staying on the ground floor. In hindsight rental if the whole house would’ve been better. Shaldon is a beautiful town.

We had a lovely time at Bay Cottage, the location is amazing, the cottage is among the best equipped we have ever had, & the beds & furniture are comfy & inviting. Very reassured regarding the cleaning procedures which are in place especially given the current pandemic. Everything had been thought of, the owners are lovely & still managed to give us a warm welcome whilst social distancing! The fresh flowers in our rooms were a lovely touch & much enjoyed. A cottage full of character & yet modern & comfortable where it matters.

Just got back from a lovely stay in Bay Cottage. The views from the lounge are fantastic and the close proximity to everything that Shaldon has to offer was perfect. The lovely super king sized bed is probably one of the most comfortable beds we have slept in. We would thoroughly recommend Bay Cottage as a delightful place to stay and hope to be back next year.

Cottage was perfect, location was excellent. Everything you need in one place. It was spotlessly clean, all the home furnishing and fresh flowers around the house made it super luxurious.

A brilliant location with so much to see and do. Spotlessly clean accommodation with lovely homely touches like fresh flowers, games and books. Less able family members enjoyed watching the world go by from the bay window. Denise & Roger are wonderful hosts. We can't wait to come back.

The cottage is very well located with great bay views, it is pretty comfortable generally and the owners were welcoming but we were disappointed with the lack of bathroom and kitchen facilities and we expected better at the premium price asked for the week’s let.

Very narrow access on street but worth the effort as comfortable accommodation in pretty village

Ideal location, comfortable property, great views over the bay, with seating outside the cottage and just across the way on the footpath opposite, and great position for being able to walk to certain areas of interest around the village/town or whatever the area is known as, would go again next year if able...

Bay Cottage is true luxury in the most beautiful village of Shaldon. I have stayed there once before and would never consider staying anywhere else now! The owners are so welcoming and friendly but not at all intrusive. There were gorgeous fresh flowers to greet me and the cottage is spotlessly clean and very well equipped. I hope to return many, many times ! I would recommend Bay Cottage to anyone. it's absolutely perfect.

Beautiful cottage, in a perfect location. We were met on arrival by the owner, who made us feel welcome. Great to have parking off road, as many properties in shaldon have no where to park.We are looking forward to returning next year.

As usual the cottage was first class and more than met Classic Cottages high standards.

Couldn't fault the accommodation; and the hosts were very helpful and generous. And as a bonus we had a week of superb weather to enjoy our stay! Superbly equipped kitchen - didn't get to try the Aga because we ate out every day trying all the excellent eateries in Shaldon!

We had a marvellous, restful holiday at Bay Cottage, and we were met on arrival by Roger and Denise, and made very welcome. It helped that the weather was excellent. We were really impressed with the accommodation - beautifully decorated and furnished, and with flowers from the garden in every room. The huge 6 foot bed was so comfortable that it was a struggle to get up in the mornings! The property had a superb outlook over the harbour and the estuary, and it was a pleasure just to sit and enjoy the view. Plenty of very nice local places to eat, and good local shopping, especially in Teignmouth over the water, via the ferry.

We have returned to Bay Cottage for 4 consecutive years now. The village of Shaldon is beautiful and friendly, and the location of Bay Cottage on the sea front, a stones throw away from the ferry and village centre, is an added bonus.

This property is 5 star in my opinion. Parking right outside the front window is a bonus in Shaldon. Lovely flat walk along the front to village centre to all shops in village as well.

We don't think it is possible to better this cottage. Would recommend it to anyone.

There's lots that's good about Shaldon, but a really unusual highlight is Ness Beach, which is a really safe haven for letting dogs run free (which is something that's not always that relaxing when away from home).

Bay Cottage is such a relaxing g holiday, could stay for ever. It is the most cosy and comfortable we have stayed in

Excellent cottage and location. Lovely hosts. Superb view. Best bed we ever slept in. We loved the large kitchen with the AGA. We appreciated the extra goodies and the fresh flowers, fruit and vegetables from the beautiful garden. The owners love this cottage and you could sense that.

There is nothing we can fault about Bay Cottage especially the quaintness of it and the Owners have been very helpful. The parking outside the cottage has been a bonus.

Bay cottage is a compact yet spacious holiday apartment with all you could need readily provided. The location is superb and quiet, and ideal for walking enthusiasts and dog owners, as Ness Cove is 5 minutes away and a very safe and vast area to excercise canine legs!

Great base for exploring the area very comfortable accommodation nice village good view from cottage pubs and shops nearby highly recommend.

We would go back for the ambiance of the cottage, the position of Shaldon with its ease to visit other areas of Devon and the friendliness of the owners.

This is a fantastic choice if you want a base for dog walking abe to go on the beach from October 1st. Lovely views and close by restaurants and cafes. We were made very welcoe, very comfortable large bed, reclining chairs and flat screen tv etc Would definiteky return.

We spent a very enjoyable week, end of June/beginning of July, at Bay Cottage and were extremely impressed by the thought put into making it such a pleasant place to stay. Every conceivable utensil was available in the delightful kitchen and bathrobes and slippers were thoughtfully provided. The owners showed us nothing but kindness and consideration and helped to make our stay a memorable one. We shall return!!

A wonderful place to stay. The owners were very attentive and most helpful in all ways. The place was spotlessly clean and little extras had been added by the owners to make are holiday feel really special. It was fun learning to cook on an aga!! Rock night at the Ferry Boat Inn was great with a friendly atmosphere. Jazz night at the Clifford Arms was relaxing and good value for money. The trip run by Greenway Ferrys from Torquay, on the WW2 craft ' Fairmile ' was good value for money, interesting, and fun.

Really lovely cottage in a wonderful situation - wake up to a different sea-scape every morning, walk down to the paper shop and say hello to at least half a dozen people on the way, watch the boats from a bench outside or ,on a cold day, from the front window. Warmth of the Aga never fails. Owners on hand to say, 'Aren't we lucky being here?'

We found the owners to be very friendly and welcoming. The furnishings and fittings within the cottage are of a quality that I would aspire to put in my home. The location is excellent for the beach, shops and pubs in Shaldon, and the ferry to Teignmouth. My wife and I would happily stay here again, even if it were in a higher price band!!!

The location was excellent. Ness beach was 5 mn away which was great to run our dog. Good access to Teignmouth via the ferry right opposite. Very dog friendly owners.

We have entered comments up in Bay cottage guest book but will certainly be booking Classic cottages again as we feel they are different from other companies.
