This perfectly located holiday home offers entertainment in abundance, whilst treating you to peace and tranquility from the pretty enclosure of your private garden. Only a 20 minute drive away from some of the most magical beaches, you really do have everything you need to create a super special holiday for all ages. The icing on the cake is that you can bring your four-legged friend(s) along too!

After a day out on the beach, dining al fresco in your beautifully maintained garden is a must, or perhaps your thirst for water and fun has not been quenched, if so, splashing into the heated indoor pool is a real winner with the kids.

The extensive facilities at Stancombe Manor ensure that there is so much to do right on your doorstep come rain or shine, however I would certainly recommend a trip out to visit some of south Devon's most iconic villages and towns, Salcombe, Kingsbridge, Dartmouth and the historic Slapton Sands to name a few - especially as they're only a short car drive away!

Good or bad, we publish all the reviews left by the guests who have stayed at this property.

Mrs Harris

Cottage is so lovely! Amazing setting and had everything we could have asked for. We cooked every night to avoid having to go out too much (even got the kids cooking) and it had every kitchen utensil we needed. Pool was fantastic and open until 9pm every day. 15 mins away from a gorgeous beach where we saw a seal up close and the dogs enjoyed the sand. Tennis courts were great they had all the rackets and balls we needed. Not too busy we barely saw anyone else at the manor. Would definitely recommend

Miss Pierce

Marigold Cottage is a beautiful house situated in stunning surroundings of Devon's countryside. It is homely & cosy & excellent detail to attention & dog friendly. I look forward to next year's holiday which will be my 4th visit.????????

Mr Davies

A splendid cottage in a remote and very quiet location. The indoor swimming pool and games room are perfect for the not-so-dry days. Highly recommended.

Mrs Quinn

Great place for a large group in a quiet, rural area but near to towns, restaurants and places to visit.

Mr Davies

Beautiful cottage and location, superb swimming pool, kids loved the games room and the outdoor play area. The tennis and pitch and put were a great bonus too.

Mrs Walters

This cottage has the benefit of a indoor pool, snooker room and games room which is great for kids. It is a remote location so you will need to drive everywhere. Wi-Fi and signal is poor so don’t expect to be able to work there.

Mrs Budge

I would recommend this property to other fellow holidaymakers as a comfortable holiday home set in pleasant surroundings with the added advantage of a pool and other facilities.

Mrs Livingstone

Ideal cottage for family gathering at Christmas. Owners had made cottage look festive and welcoming. Everything you could possibly need had been thought of. Would definitely stay again.

Mrs Coney

A wonderful well equipped cottage, perfect for a family holiday, with excellent on site facilities in a beautiful, tranquil and well maintained setting.

Mrs Bayliss

Lovely cottage, very well equipped and would recommend as long as you don't mind the trip to get there as this is on miles of country lanes. Very pretty setting and the enclosed garden is great to keep the kids or dog under control. The swimming pool was a big bonus.

Mrs Knight

A very good set up with access to the swimming pool

Mrs Jones

A good base for travelling around South Devon. Cottage was very well equipped, and would book with Classic again.

Mr Tighe

Property is tired and needs updating throughout to warrant the current charge. Great location with access to communal swimming pool and outside areas.

Mrs Forth

We found Marigold Cottage to be very cosy, comfortable and well equipped. It is in a very peaceful, rural location, but still within easy reach of lovely beaches, Dartmouth and Salcombe. The pool was an added bonus. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come again.

Mr Wallace

BEWARE of the roads - if given the choice drive behind a tractor and trailer, never towards one. I would like to say that we will be back next year, but, although they don't know it yet, the grand-kids are off to Florida next summer. With regards to any scoring asked for in the questionnaire - I rarely give 100%, there is always some room for improvement except perhaps in my case.

Mr Lewin

Lovely cottage, brilliant location for beaches, Hope Cove, Salcombe, Bigbury on Sea are a must visit! The Winking Prawn cafe/restaurant on North Beach at Salcome and The Lobster Pod cafe/restaurant overlooking Hope Cove with stunning views are recommended places to visit.

Mrs Whittall

my rating of the cottage would have been excellent had it been cleaner
