Nestled in the gorgeous, lush countryside of south Devon, with spectacular views over the river Dart, Greenway Hideaway is unique and beautifully crafted, built to offer the very best of contemporary living whilst giving a nod to sustainable construction.

Eco-friendly is the byword here. Under the guidance of an expert ecologist and landscape artists, Greenway Hideaway is constructed from beautiful, durable cedar with a sedum roof built as a haven for wildflowers to sustain bee, butterfly, bird and bat populations. A 'dark corridor' for bats has been constructed and even a badger set conserved. Everything has been thought of here to ensure minimum impact and maximum relaxation and enjoyment. Welcome to Greenway Hideaway!

Found in a secluded development of luxury hideaways, Greenway Hideaway offers families and friends the perfect tranquil escape. With the river Dart providing a stunning backdrop and surrounded by rolling countryside, this location is very special indeed.

All on one level, the open plan living space is super sleek and stylish, with high quality interiors throughout. The sitting-area has two gorgeous cosy sofas and, if you can bear to tear your eyes away from the stunning view, the Smart TV will keep everyone entertained. There's even a wood-burner to keep toes warm throughout the year. The dining-table takes pride of place in front of the full-length windows sitting next to the kitchen, perfect for sociable dining.

The two dreamy bedrooms are blissful. Bedroom one has gorgeous luxury linens and a 'zip and link' bed giving you the choice of either twin beds or a super-king size double. This bedroom has a lovely en suite shower-room for a refreshing shower after a busy beach day. Bedroom two really is very special, with a comfy king-size bed and direct access out into the garden through the patio doors. The en suite is simply divine, a dreamy copper roll-top bathtub and a large walk-in rainfall shower. Which will you choose?

Outside, the wraparound gardens are the perfect place for the little ones to let off steam and even the family dog can join in. Please note the gardens are not enclosed and your dog will need to be on a lead. In the field next door there's a small, quiet, family-owned touring park. With oodles of space, you can bring along your paddle boards and kayaks and take to the waters to enjoy the miles of riverside. There are numerous opportunities to get out on the water and explore, whether a genteel boat trip or adrenaline-fuelled coasteering experience. Greenway Hideaway really is a very special place for a holiday.

Greenway Hideaway is one of five fabulous retreats which enjoy their very own piece of heaven within this magical spot with uninterrupted views across the fields and river Dart. Access to this gated area can be found by meandering through the main house's garden. Via restricted and private access, you will find Greenway Hideaway tucked away, enjoying nothing but endless countryside and waterside views.

Good or bad, we publish all the reviews left by the guests who have stayed at this property.

Mrs Wren

I was really concerned that the wonderful photographs of the lodge on the website would not live up to it in reality, but it absolutely did! We stayed in Greenway lodge, the bed was comfortable and the shower was amazing!! The location was idyllic, peaceful, tranquil with amazing views. Every evening we got to watch the sunset from the comfort of the lodge. Lovely big garden too for dog/s or children. There are lots of lovely walks in the area and Agatha Christie’s house is also within a good walking distance. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway this will tick all the boxes. Will definitely be coming back.

Mrs Gadsby

After a stressful start due to concerns about the water situation in the area & long drive after work, we arrived to the most beautiful sunset at Greenway and instantly felt relaxed & reassured we had made the right decision coming. It was impeccibly clean, stylishly furnished with high quality facilities & equipment- everything needed in the kitchen to cook including an induction hob which was a bonus! Bed was super comfy, lovely bathrooms with huge rainfall showers & a huge deep copper bath to relax in with a glass of wine. And those views....wow....you could just while away the days staring ( bring some binoculars!!) . I loved having morning lie-ins with a cup of tea, opening the patio doors & looking out at the river, listening to the birds. The location was so peaceful & quiet- you honestly wouldnt know that anyone else was close by due to the way the lodge is situated so I wouldnt be put off by having the touring park close by. The site was clearly lovingly maintained and Debs and her husband were friendly and helpful, always on hand if we needed anything. The location is fabulous- there are walks from the door, national trust houses close by, we made use of the local ferries to do walks visit Dartmouth, recommend the River Dart trail. We got the bus to Torcross & walked back to Dartmouth on the coast path. Had lovely fish & chips in Rockfish & our first visit to Totnes which we enjoyed! All is all it was a fabulous week & a priviledge to stay at Greenway, congrats to the owners for what they have achieved with the lodges & thank you for creating a truly memorable holiday.

Mrs Hopkins

Greenway Hideaway is probably the best place we have stayed with Classic Cottages. Clean, lovely comfy beds and furnished to a high standard. Great to look out on the Dart Estuary at all the birds and wildlife. Fabulous location and close to several attractions.

Mrs Edwards

The location was stunning, the view over the creek was excellent and the fields and hills surrounding. The "cottage" was well equipped, beds very comfortable, great showers and comfortable easy chairs. The security of the site was good, and everything well managed, although we didn't seem able to ever find reception open.We had not been to the area previously, to stay, there is plenty to see and do. We loved Brixham, where we walked to the end of the breakwater (Marina Car Park was very convenient), National Trust properties very close, and Slapton Sands is well worth a visit if you like history. We used the "local" pub, The Manor Inn, a couple of times - food and service was good. What could be improved? A mirror in the second bedroom and instructions how to use the oven!!

Mr Bromley

A very special location and a very special lodge. Really enjoyed our time here.

Mr Lewis

Lovely new, bright, airy, modern lodge in a great location. Don’t let the fact that access is through a caravan / camp site put anyone off. The site is up market, quiet and tidy. Easy location for exploring Devon. The most difficult decision is whether to admire the view, or watch the rabbits play on the lawn, or the raptors enjoy the thermals. Visiting woodpeckers a bonus. Bring binoculars.

Mrs Baker

We stayed at Greenway Hideaway and it was everything and more we expected. Its quiet and peaceful and the view was to die for. The Hideaway itself was immaculate and spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. Will love to come back again and again

Mr Parkinson

Great location for Greenway and an amazing cottage with very friendly owners.

Mrs Baugh

Excellent property with stunning views of the river. Very comfortable and well equipped. So close for visiting local towns but it feels like you are miles from anywhere - so peaceful. Definitely will visit again. 5 ?????

Mrs Stapleton

Can honestly say that we totally enjoyed our time at 'Greenway Hideaway'. It exceeded our expectations. The property offered a very high standard of accomodation, it was immaculate. The location is fabulous. You can explore nearby on foot or find so many things to visit within easy reach by boat or car. Perfect!

Ms West

Beautifully furnished property with a great view in quiet surroundings.

Miss Ireland

Luxury accommodation with spectacular views. Excellent cleanliness and the beds were so comfortable I made note of the matress make so I could buy one for home!

Mr Holmes

Greenway hideaway is a very highly specified comfortable eco friendly lodge . It is set in a peaceful location and has stunning views of the river Dart and the surrounding hills. The beds were particularly comfortable and the owners have spared no expense in creating a stunning home from home. If you are looking for a place to relax and unwind with the bonus of plenty of things to do locally then you will have to search long and hard to beat this accommodation.

Mrs Amato

If you want a complete get away from it all, surrounded only by stunning views and the sounds of the countryside then this is the place for you. Spotlessly clean, amazing decor and some wonderful walks, beaches and places of interest on your doorstep.

Mrs Wynde

We enjoyed a wonderful week at this very well-appointed and brilliantly furnished property. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the beds were so comfortable that we slept like logs. The views were spectacular, even during Storm Noa, and we saw a couple of beautiful sunsets. The location is very peaceful and you wouldn't know that there are other properties or the caravan park nearby. The site staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of great walks from the door and in the local area, and we had some delicious meals out nearby in Stoke Gabriel, Totnes and Brixham. It's very close to Dartmouth via the ferries and easy to get further south to Slapton Sands and beyond for beaches and coastal path walks. Highly recommended.

Mr Neilson

A very high quality lodge with the most amazing views. Well equipped and the electric car charging point a real bonus. We hope to return.
